    Worst. Suggestion. Ever

Cmon, the other suggestions back there are decent but this? Why would anyone fight with a shovel? If notch is going to add flair to the combat system it should be by new weapons, not using your hand-me-downs.

I don't blame you, I just had the idea of a tool being used as a makeshift weapon. Pretty much every thing in the tool shed can be used like this :? . I even said it was probably awful. Besides, I'm sure there are more worse stuff out there in the suggestion box, guns probably being the worst of them all.

An axe is a legit weapon.

I had no idea this was true! I'm gonna go test it out soon.

A pickaxe could be used for hindering their attack speed a little bit.

That suggestion is good, but I was thinking what if the pick damaged armor better? It could scare diamond padded players easily (they would want to protect their armor, since its valuable).

I'm just thinking. Probably my worst idea ever, but I was just thinking to myself. What if the tools we have (shovels, axes, picks) could have bonuses in combat as well as bonuses against material? Of course swords are made for combat, so they should be the most powerful (damage wise). Axes could hit enemies farther (and off a cliff into a pit of lava), shovels can knock people silly (disrupt vision? Slow down?). As for the pick and gardening hoe... I have no clue, but I'm sure somebody can find a use for them combat wise. Bad idea? A good idea? I got hit too many times in the head with a shovel and now I'm thinking nonsense? :?

    You mean seecret?

    Thanks for pointing that out.

I found the flowers out in the middle of a field, I can't remember if there was a tree near it. I don't think a tree was nearby at the time. I dunno, hazy memory. I do remember finding them uprooted. The terrain was flat, so unless there was a hill there, it probably wasn't a creeper. They could, they could not, I dunno :? . But the important thing is, if flowers do not multiply yet and they don't auto-plant themselves, then we know a good way to make them spread :smile.gif:

While I was walking around in infdev in day time, I found a flower patch, but it had some flowers uprooted from the ground already when I discovered it. I think the flowers are multiplying by flinging new flowers around and the new flowers get auto-planted after some time. Anyone find this? Anyone think Notch may of added another smaller seecret in the game? Creeper incident?

Edit: Its pronounced seecret, not secret in this case, according to the update on Notch's blog. Thanks toatanu for pointing that out. :smile.gif:

It can also be the environment conditions, so that trees won't tree punch through your buildings or your cave when you try to make an underground/inside tree farm. Little trees near walls and inside structures, big trees out in the open.

Just saying. It could be interesting to find a variety of trees. Maybe use two different sprouts for different trees (small ones grow quick, big ones grow slow). Maybe small trees are young trees and the big ones are old (deeper in the forest, bigger the trees get). Good idea?
