I love this mod, and I enjoy the fact that the developers are releasing the dev version for us to take a look at.
A couple of things I noticed while the hours ticked away:
1) seems to work best if you do not go past forge dev build 472 (railcraft was stuck there for a bit, but has moved on, however... never trust a new forge).
2) Any type of slope causes cars to uncouple.
3) The interface to make an engine "neutral," so yo ucan "double-head" your train does not work/hasn't been enabled yet?
4) Brakes are chancy things. Maybe all cars need to be equipped with brakes? Engines should have 2 types, train and lap (one uses engine braking, the other could/should activate brakes throughout the train. Disconnected cars should automatically be in "brakes on" mode until coupled.
5) Hitboxes of all cars/engines need to be a bit more defined, imo.
6) The view aspects are going to have to be customized.
7) The engine itself should not change directions when the direction of the train changes. This frequently causes overlap issues and is just generally annoying.
8) The direction of the train should not change when I turn to look behind me. If I am trying to see if I've cleared a siding or if everything is traveling with me, this is a huge problem. Please route the reverse command back to the "S" key where it belongs.
9) It needs to be easier to remove cars (currently, to remove a vehicle, you flail away, likely destroying nearby blocks in the process).
Otherwise, a good, solid dev. build. Excellent progress you guys
