I'm having trouble with the cursed earth not spawning anything. At first I thought it was the magnum torch, but neither removing it nor going into creative to set up a new patch of it did anything, and I did read that it's not supposed to have any effect on forced spawns anyway, soooo...
Anyway, I do have Mo' Creatures and Custom Mob Spawner installed, but I've seen someone with those mods make a functional Cursed Earth mob spawner on Youtube, so... I have no idea. Neither MoC nor CMS turn up any results in their threads on searching for "cursed earth" so I haven't the faintest clue how I could let the cursed earth function properly again.
What could I look into here?
ETA: I compared versions, and I'm using the same versions as that Youtuber - it's not that they're using the dev and I'm not or vice versa, neither of us is using the dev version.
ETA2: A monster spawner placed in there works just fine - it's just the cursed earth not functioning.

Edit: I disabled Custom Mob Spawner and it worked just fine. There is some conflict going on that nullifies the effect of cursed earth. I have no idea how to make them compatible again, though.
I was hoping someone may be able to help me out real quick. I am looking to slightly modify a world generator plugin. All I want to do is change the default biome that is assigned to the chunks. Looking at the source code all chunks are a FOREST biome, and I am looking to switch it to TAIGA.
I'm in the process of making some new textures for 1.8, and I am stuck with the melon stems. I understand that in the terrain.png file there is an attached stem and an unattached stem...but only one image each. Is there no cross section to make them 3d ish? In game it looks like there is, along with the plant seedlings? Anybody know where these are located?

You must read the server rules! Have you?: I love rules. I not only have read them, but will help in trying to keep them enforced, because I think rules are extremely important in any kind of community. Society without rules is Anarchy, and Anarchy doesn't work.
Why are you interested in joining?: I'd like a place to build stuff and the admin not decide on a whim to scrap the map and make everyone start over, because he was too lazy to re-upload the map when he changed hosts. I'd also like a place where there isn't an admin who gets overzealous with power just to hit on internet girls, and makes life miserable for everyone else. I hope this is that place.
Have you ever been banned from a server? If yes, explain: Yes, Impact, because I criticized Joe on him scrapping the map just because he couldn't be arsed to re-upload the existing map to the new server, then he tried to argue that he did it because most of the structures were ugly. I spoke my mind.
Anything else about yourself?: I build ugly structures, but hope to get better at it, I've taken a few courses in happy class, so I don't think I'm nearly as negative now, and I'm taking prozak, so I'm often at some happy-place or another.
In conclusion, I'd like to thank you for the opportunity to join this server, and understand if I do not make the cut. I've had a long sordid history with Oroka, and after two weeks of trying to make amends, he told me to stop trying, as he thought they were based in sarcasm. That was unfortunate, but I will still abide by his request. Herpaderp
