Maybe silly question but are the server-block-Ids send from server to client already or do you have to have a proper setup for each server you like to connect to? -

maybe build a small shelter in the swamp? kill with a bow and use the axe of the stream to pull items to your swamps-bunker?
I never found a single vanilla slime (1 is enough, you can double slimes in TC). I am using Botania to convert cactus into slimeball (catalyst under the mana pool. later with sticky piston to switch). bad news is, it needs 2 blaze rods to build...
I am currently searching my world for a jungle biome. 6 hours, still nothing
many deserts I walked around (warm climate, so I guess a jungle may be on the edge of it?)
many magic TC biomes found (have 26 silverwood saplings and 2 stacks of shimmerleaf now. death to taint and his friends!)
jeb seems to be a real fan of birch tree forest (found tons of them). think badger song but with 'birch tree'
well, the search continues. boots of the traveler helped a lot ofc

- Scan a (snow) golem already? Thats what I forgot to do before the tab opened

-> Finding a jungle biome for cocoa (harvest seal)
-> Finding slimes (jar label)
-> Repair enchant (found 2 times a repair, have 3 chests full of crap low level enchant books)
are a pain!
I ended using TiCAlpha for Slimes and used Botanias transmute manapool for cocoa... Darn you jeb for that silly biome code change in 1.7! Dont 'fix' what is not broken! Any advice how to find a jungle Biome? Search edges of desert? mesas?

I wonder how different items around the altar count different to stability.
Is it pure number of items or do items have quality (torches<skulls<botania floating thingy flower)
And does a mixture help? some balanced placed torches plus some balanced placed skulls plus some balanced placed botania-floating-flower-thingies

never said it was easy I made many many ethereal blooms. that was quite a long process but it helped that I found a quite large magical forest to chop down theSilverwood Trees and collect the shimmerleafs needed and the saplings to plant them around my base for pure nodes...
dont bother fighting taint with them, the pure nodes die quite fast near tainted land. be aware that taint also spreads underground quite a bit! I was quite surprised when I returned to my cave system. they even ate the spider spawner I found before I could somewhat(!) contain the taint. they did not eat my torches it seems
still much work to do until I consider it fully contained but at least it does not spread very much anymore... On the surface I have ethereal blooms all around the tainted land...

my world has a 'tainted land' area not far away from my spawn. Found it way before I was even starting with thaumcraft. I had to enclose it so it does not spread anymore. took me a while to get all things needed but for now it is somewhat contained. would not recommend that area as holiday place

I would go with Boots of the Traveler to quickly move (bring bed and food) and journeymap (for waypoints of them and finding back home)
Thats how I found both in my new world and returned home to tell the story
btw, if you place wood blocks in the tainted land they will get tainted over time (1 vitium, 1 herba) and a row of that is easy to harvest with the axe of the stream and they will not taint you when having them in your inventory. dont go overkill when smelting them down at home to avoid making your homeplace a tainted biome

oh, did not know that being gone. see, I never even looked for it I like playing with decay anyway and coal/wood is not really short for me
besides vaskii said mayn times she regreted the implementation of non-decaying early on manaflowers...
For now I am quite happy with so little mods being available. gives another perspective of play without dw20 like monster machine parks

you can turn the decay off in config but I like to let it on so I can be extra happy to find those seed in a chest that turn normal dirt into enchanted earth (on which flowers not decay). I am totally fallen for Thaumcraft and Botania

should I use an additional enchanting table to do the rotation (no books level 1 enchants) or has every table its own rotation and I need to do the torch trick to disable bookshelfs to get the lowest enchant?
