Definition of meta gaming: To use information gained out of character (OOC) in character (IC) to you or someone else's IC (dis)advantage

Definition of power gaming: To force an action while roleplaying, giving no opportunity for anyone else to retaliate to said action or completing an unrealistic action.

What is your past experience in RP, Fallout or otherwise?: Made my own servers and RPed in them. I made a very successful Fallout server and have role played on over 15+ serious servers such as Lord of the Craft, Akavir, The Vault RP, and many more.

    IC:

    Name: John Harding

    Age: 20

Appearance: A brown and red cowboy hat adorns John's rugged tanned face. His plain black eyes and slightly brown complexion are the only things you can easily make out from a distance due to the bottom half of his face being covered by a red bandana and his forehead covered by the shade of his hat. It's as if John had looted a cowboy memorabilia sometime ago, he's got the look of it atleast. A white long sleeve shirt and brown vest are specked with dirt and his palm is covered in black. Dark black pants and brown hiking boots are the rest of what this very average 5'10" cowboy has to offer to the eye.

Personality: Though he may not look as such, John is very talkative when given the opportunity. He is quick to share his thoughts and will gladly do it if he deems it so. However, John knows that the wasteland is an unforgiving place, and is not afraid to toughen up and do something dirty, he would just prefer not to. To conclude, John is an opportunist who will jump in and is a very quick thinker that makes up his mind fast, but is not narrow-minded. A new perspective could easily change his personal perception of the situation.

Backstory: Born in the middle of nowhere in West Virginia to Annabelle and James Harding in 2269, John Harding was already slightly accommodated for as a child. His family resided in a very small town with about three other rundown homes supported by hunting the large amount of geckos throughout the area and avoiding radioactive swamps that dotted the state now. His mother would educate him with the books his dad would scavenge, while his dad mainly focused on hunting with the other adult males in the town. But like many other wastelanders, John and his family had their fair share of nights and days without eating. When it appeared the geckos had been over-exploited by the town, James became very ill and when John was only 11 had passed away from starvation.

Watching his father give the extremely scarce amount of food left to his son and spouse motivated John to always work hard and never take the easy way because it could wound those you love most. The night his father passed away and this motivation had been sparked, his mother read him one of the last books they had, The Frontier Cowboy. It was an enticing tale about a cowboy who saved a city from a corrupted mayor and was hailed as a hero for as long as his memory stayed alive. John had become obsessed with becoming someone worth mentioning. He wanted to be just like the cowboy and so he practiced shooting with his dad's hunting rifle until his trigger finger got blistered and began to collect caps to head out one day and buy some cowboy gear to help a town or city and become a hero. He soon joined up with the adults at age 14 to go hunting for geckos once it appeared they had finally repopulated. It was during these hunts that the others began to admire his natural ability to shoot a weapon well. By age 18, he had become a fine young man who would help his old and relatively helpless mother do everything. However, at age 19, his mother had died of natural causes, and John was lost.

John had no reason to stay and spend his life supporting no one and shooting geckos every weekend, and a few weeks of packing and mourning finally led him out of the town and he never looked back. That rickety shack he called home was simply a symbol of his own prison, to stop him from being what he truly aspired to be, a cowboy hero! So he trekked for miles and miles, and days and days. He shot a ghoul. It was a close call, I guess. That's when reality struck him. There might be nothing to even walk for. The thought lingered in the back of his mind for weeks. When he shot geckos, when he avoided swamps, and even when he took out two bandits on the side of a trail once. No amount of adrenaline or good night's rest or delicious meal could stop the thought from taking over his brain, that this entire journey is worthless. That he will never be a hero and die on these roads he found hope on. For an entire year John barely talked to a human. He was a mentally deteriorated human being. He lost grasps of social norms. But he never forgot his dream. So when he finally saw a small town thriving in this terrible wasteland, he was in awe. He even shed a tear or two.

There he finally spent his caps, bought himself some nifty cowboy looking clothes, sold some gecko hide and asked who and what needed saving. The clerk at the store laughed, looked over at one his associates, shrugged, and turned back to glare at John.

"Try the Big Apple, there's plenty there young man. Not far from here either."

And so the clerk showed him the way, and John followed.

EDIT: posted this on my brother's account, feel kinda dumb, but it's cool

    To avoid more confusion:
Skinner - A person who makes minecraft skins.
Graphic Artist - A person who makes banners and signatures, a majority of people use GIMP or Photoshop for this.
Builder - A person that builds thing on the server. Town, cities, buildings, farms, this is what you will be working on.

    Alright News:

As soon as I get the new lore and finish the banners and signature we will be making a new topic and deleting this one. I will post the link for the new one once it is done and then give it a day for people to see the link. After a day I will delete this topic and we will have a new topic that is completely based off on server.
