Yea I just need updated parts instead of the stock Dell parts (which are so shitty >_>)

Whatever needs to be replaced, I need. Budget in about $300-400

    Edit:I made a mistake.

This is the actual chassis I have.

Edit 2: For the CPU, would I have to replace it? What is the reason for replacing it?

Also, what kind of fans should I get? How would I find out what kinds to get for the motherboard/chassis?

Yes, you'll have to replace that CPU as it is bottlenecking with your GPU and it's out-dated.

    Here.

    $843.29 or $783.29 after mail-in rebates.

It'll run the games you want to run with no problem at all.

But if you need an OS and Peripherals (E.g. Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard) then you'll need to cut back on some things.

Also, this build has a good upgrade path.

EDIT: That case with this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/uk/p/5Y2g
Gotta go to school, won't be able to reply, bye.

Yep fully compatible. The only thing you gotta look for when checking if your case is compatible with your build or not is what size your motherboard is (Yours is ATX) and check what size motherboard the case you have chosen supports (That Raidmax Case supports ATX sized Motherboards)

Actually what a Minecraft server wants is a high speed network for big upload speed. The rest of hardware doesn' t have to be as strong as a company' s server. 8GB of RAM, 500 GB HDD or 60GB SSD and an Intel Core i5 @ 3.00 GHz can easily do the job when you have 5 MBps of upload speed.

Not even that, an old Pentium can even do the job well.

Also, I know this might sound like a stupid question, but is it difficult to build a computer? I have patience and time with things like this, but have never had first-hand experience.

No, it's pretty easy. It can be scary the first time, but that's what the guides on Google and YouTube are for.

The best computer building series/guide is from Newegg.

Here are the full 3 episodes:

    - Part 1 of the series, doesn't actually start the building process, but it tells some good information.

    - Part 2, the most important part, where the building actually starts. You'll want to be watching this episode.

    - Part 3, shows you how to install your windows OS and some finishing touches.

K, asking for more help now. Thanks for all the helpful comments.
I've decided to see what I can do with building my own, and been looking up a bunch of guides, but I'm still extremely confused and don't get too much of what I'm doing.
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/5ojQ is what I got so far, any help will be welcome. I'm going to spend all of tomorrow trying to learn all I can and remove this confusion, but hopefully some people can help me out while I'm asleep.
    Thanks!
Also, that's around 100$ above budget, which is also another thing that I'm worried about, unless I want to save up another month.

    Changed your build around.
    http://pcpartpicker.com/p/5ols

Changed the GTX570 to a GTX560 Ti 448 Core Version. Cheaper, and better performance.
Changed the RAM to cheaper G.Skill 1333MHz RAM.
And changed the Optical Drive to a cheaper DVD drive.

All up, lowest possible price is $1084.70. Saved you roughly $60.

posted a message on Will this comp run Minecraft (far distance) with a 64x texture pack?
Yes. That build is way overkill for just Minecraft.

But if you are planning to be playing other high-end games such as BF3 and Skyrim, then that build is perfect.

One thing, lower the RAM from 16GB to 8GB and save some money. You'll never need that much RAM unless you're going to be doing major video editing/rendering. But from the looks of it, you probably won't.

    Definitely get the 6870.

    The 550 Ti is a re-branded GTS450 and the GTX560 is a re-branded GTX460.

So unless you can stretch your budget and get a GTX560 Ti then get a HD6870.
