I've re-worked my magical application, and hope that it manages to meet your expectations. I've changed from utilizing water to fire instead, as I find it much simpler to comprehend.

    ----IC Info----
    -Character name: Sam Timmons

    -Character race: Human

    -Character gender: Male

    -Character age: 19

    -Character Occupation: Scholar

    -Character description:
Sam stands at five feet and seven inches. Held on his head are short, messy locks of brown hair. He holds a lithe build with a fair complexion, making it fairly obvious of his preference to remain indoors over outdoors. His skin is fairly smooth to the touch, and his eyes hold a light-brown coloring.

    -Character personality and traits:
Sam is a shy and careful young man. Timid in social situations, Sam tends to avoid conversation entirely when at all possible. However, should it pertain to the ascertaining of knowledge, he will often become willing to speak without the former behavior, rather being lively and jovial in attitude. Although disliking typical conversation, Sam still has great preference to keeping around others over solitude.

    -Character biography:
Sam was born from Alexis and Adrian Timmons, two of the many humans that fled from the pact war from their original settlement and to Barkamsted. In a small home, barely able to hold three individuals, he was lovingly cared for and raised by his parents. They allowed for him to do as he enjoyed at home, which happened to be reading for the child. Although he couldn't understand the words at such a young age, they seemed to intrigue and fascinate the child, so much so that his parents had made the decision to educate him early on to read and write. Although their own knowledge was limited, Sam was eager and ready to learn. And so he worked, placed the entirety of his effort on the acts of comprehending written texts and being able to converse through paper rather than through words. It was one of the few things he cherished in growth.

In his pre-teen years, Sam found a peculiar desire in his mind, one that he had always held but never truly understood. It was a thirst, one for knowledge in particular. And now, as he had finally aged into a more understanding and comprehending teenager, this notion had become something quite apparent to himself. Due to this, Sam found himself traversing about Barkamsted often in search of books, of knowledge, of something to discover that had previously been unknown to himself. Many folks within the city were incapable of understanding or utilizing their texts, though many of what they had would've served no purpose anyways and took more effort to understand than desired by them. And so, they passed such useless things on to Sam, who spent such unnecessary time to learn and understand from the books, from the wealth of knowledge. Sure, the information held no use to the boy, but it was more than enough for himself.

As Sam grew into his teenage years, many of his friends from childhood began to depart. Some to fight, some to flee, and some to take upon simple living. Those that remained grew distant from the young man, off-put by his continued intensity into the revelry of gaining knowledge and information. Rather than small toys and trinkets and balls to toss about littering the floor of his room, there were stacks upon stacks of books and sheets of paper. Seeing as his former friends left the young intellectual, he had made the decision to quicken the act for them, and left himself to the solitude of his home. There, he lost his ease of conversation with others, and there he grew a yearning to remain with others that he would never willingly act upon.

Now nineteen and a young adult, Sam has resumed his act of roaming about the town for knowledge, though much of his lively attitude has departed from his form. Of course, he now also has need to work in order to feed himself, and because of this is forced to spend time writing letters for various members of the town incapable of doing so easily for payment. Such a thing gave little in pay, but it was enough to live off of, and enough to be able to continue pursuing knowledge.

-Please give us a short RP response to these two scenarios:

You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You have been robbed.

Sam paused, as he felt something strange, something peculiar. The very spot he kept for his coin purse.. It was empty, with only air remaining in its location! His eye grew wide, swiftly turning around to face the damned perpetrator! Alas, it was a child, already darting away, and swiftly at that. The young man was not going to simply let his money go however, and darted after the child. However, such a small figure had ease slipping between crowds, while a larger figure such as Sam had more difficulty in such. And although he chased, the child was rapidly gaining distance between the two. Perhaps soon, they would even be out of his own sight! "Argh.. Dammit.. Thief!" he shouted angrily, as he trudged through the mass of folks.

You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a grey-coloured wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population.

Sam stopped and stared, eyes down upon the helpless wolf. She was entrapped, with young pups of her own nearby and without any ability to free her. He'd step closer, a hand slowly beginning to reach out towards the wild beast and her children, of course only to be met by the yapping and snarling of the mother. Of course, she was scared. She had to protect her children and there stood a stranger in front of her, perhaps even the same one that placed down such a trap. Sam's eyes glimpse at the trees to his side, away from the female wolf. Unfortunately for her, he had nothing he could do to help. However, he was too afraid himself to simply attack the entrapped wolf and end her misery.. So perhaps another could come, to save her instead. He'd spin around, facing away from the wolf and her pups, before walking off. "Good luck," he whispered under his breath, a sigh escaping his lips.

    -Magic Biography;
Sam was perhaps 'lucky', being capable of utilizing magic coupled with his desire for knowledge and information. It was a great match-up, and one that the young man took great enjoyment out of. For magic required knowledge, and magic also provided knowledge. Those two things alone granted for Sam a great interest in it. For him to utilize magic and gain knowledge, he must first have the knowledge and power to utilize the magic in the first place. To Sam, magic was a stepping stone to understanding, to information, to learning. The farther he delved into it, the more he would gain, and the more fervent his desires into magic would grow in turn.

Sam discovered his ability to utilize magic during his pre-teen years, when he was roaming about town, in search of new things to discover. As he ran about, he happened upon an older, stocky man, with an aged face clearly portrayed by the dozens of wrinkles that coated his face. He gestured for Sam to come forth, a grin held on his face as the boy began to step near. "Hello child, I see that you're wandering around town yet again," he cooed out, a grin slowly spreading along his lips. Sam grinned back, eyes fervent with curiosity. Rather than speak however, the boy simply nodded his head repeatedly instead.

The older man chuckled, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a single, delicate-looking trinket. It had no remarkable appearance, except for the light-red oval shape embedded into it. It was pretty, but nothing special or remarkable. Staring at it with a bored expression, Sam tilted his head to the side. What was the point in showing him such a thing? The man then took out a single candle, holding it forward to the boy as well. Without warning, it would suddenly light, despite the man seemingly doing nothing to light it! Widening his eyes, Sam tilted his head to the other direction, staring between the man, the candle, and the trinket. The man then licked his thumb and index finger of the hand holding the trinket, before pressing them over the small flame and putting it out. He'd then reach his arms out, as if in an attempt to hand them off to Sam.

Sam took the objects into hand, staring between the two, before looking up at the man as he began to speak. "Now, try focusing into the trinket. Imagine lighting a small flame on the candle in your hand. Don't try anything too big, just give it a try," he said to the boy before chuckling. Sam would in turn, concentrate on doing just as said. A small flame, just a spark, enough to light the candle. Suddenly, a small spark, just barely noticeable from up close emerged at the tip of the candle, setting the end of it alight. Sam widened his eyes, a jovial expression on his face as he stared forward at the flame. However, the man blew out the flame shortly after it emerged, before taking both objects back into hand and stuffing away the trinket. "Looks like you've got some ability to use magic, kid. If ya' aim to work on it, good luck," he spoke once more, before patting Sam on the head and walking off. Afterwards, Sam would rush to his home, an eager expression on his face. There was something new, something wonderful that he had learned of.

Since then, Sam had grown to enjoy the utilization of the fire element aspect of magic over others, utilizing it for simple things such as lighting a candle, prepared campfire, torch or anything of the like. He felt it convenient and useful, with perhaps more possible uses for such a thing in the future.

-Please give an example in your own words describing the limitations placed upon those who use magic:
Magic is something of great power, but also requires many separate things to function adequately. Four things in particular tend to make the largest difference. Knowledge, power, practice, and the capabilities of the trinket itself. Without the adequate power to channel into a trinket, or perhaps too much than it could handle, such a thing could find itself damaged or shattering upon use. With too little, it will be incapable of being utilized to its greatest potential. The same goes for practice. Without the proper practice, one may overshoot or undershoot their intended energy into a trinket and dilute its use or damage the trinket in turn. Meanwhile, without the proper knowledge, no real use can even be given to a trinket. Lastly comes the greatest of all limitations, the trinket itself. A trinket that is too weak can not be used for more than minuscule tasks. However, gaining more powerful trinkets in turn takes time, effort, and a great amount of difficulty in order to obtain.

Magic usage is also limited on the ability of the users themselves. Without proper training to expand their magical ability, one may wear themselves out, inflict self-injury, or perhaps even death in an attempt to utilize their trinket.

-Please give a description of the magic system in your own words:
The system of magic utilizes trinkets and the user's own arcane ability for magic. Incantations, gestures, and specific spells are not utilized. Trinkets can be utilized by specific individuals, and the amount they can appropriately specialize in is reliant on their race. Furthermore, their power and capabilities of magic depend heavily on the quality of the trinket. Better trinkets can perform more impressive feats while weaker trinkets are limited.

-You are given a weak trinket of fire, you haven't had much practice with magic yet, but you will try your best. Describe some things you could/would do with this trinket:
Sam stepped into his room, glancing about it slowly. In his pocket was a newly acquired trinket, one of the flame affinity. Of course, it was pathetically weak, with little it could do, but it was more than enough to satiate himself for the time being. Making his way through the darkened room, he would come to his desk, two candles settled on opposite ends. Before the desk itself was a chair, one providing very little comfort to anyone seated on it. Pulling the seat back, Sam would situate himself onto it, before glancing to each candle. As his gaze stopped momentarily on each, the individual candle would begin to burn at the tip, a flame forming at the very end. His gaze turned to the center of the table, a large book, nearing the size of a tome, sat before Sam. He'd crack it open, turning to the first page of the book. A simple title stood prominently in the page, easily revealing the specification of the book: "Magic".

    3. Previous Bans from other servers (explain): None that I can remember. For the question of a previous ban, unfortunately, I do not know of that ban. I acquired this account from a friend in November, and so I don't know if my friend had truly been hacking or not. Now if you're curious to how I would've known of this server for over half a year after reading that: Until now, I've been allowed use of accounts every now and then from a friend, as long as I kept away from servers they played from normally. I've had to switch from time to time because the person had trusted too many people, and one of them had hacked the accounts, which is why I finally achieved this account from a generous friend.
