posted a message on HELP: Double Mob Spawner Not Working Properly
Anything under 16 blocks will fire up mob spawners.
You are standing in between them but unfortunately they are 41.6 blocks away from one another, and are too far to activate either one.

posted a message on Slow down minecarts???
So you want to slow down a cart, without using any of the available methods to slow down a cart?
If a single unpowered rail is stopping your carts you are already going pretty slow. Try speeding them up before the brake (momentum gained and lost is different over powered vs unpowered rails). You should be able to creep into your station if you time this properly.

Definately the old minecart boosters. So elegant, efficient and fun!
I still have some in my museum, just sitting idly, a whisper of their former glory.

    Quote from Towlie84

they WILL despawn, dont turn it to peacefull, it will reset the spawning,

But if you have none fwapping around it is well worth quickly switching to peaceful and back in order to reset the spawn of all hostiles, giving the slimes a chance of spawning. If none show up repeat.

Yup yup. 16 square and 3 high with multiple floors for sure. Last time I went down to the mines adjacent to a single slime chunk with 4 floors, I got 156 slime balls and progressed from level 27 to level 33- and I just wanted to get some diamonds....

Randomly appearing and predetermined spawning are not 'the same stuff'. They only spawn in specific chunks (which can be found using a slime chunk finder based on your map seed). You can force them to spawn in their predetermined chunks by quickly switching to peaceful and back, thus resetting all hostile spawns and giving you the chance of forcing some slime spawns.

Edit- If the graph stayed blank then expand your search params (they only spawn in 1 out of 10).

This might be old news at this point but a forum search, albeit brief, turned up nothing.
This link, http://htwins.net/sc...rdercolor=white points to an interesting AdobeFlash presentation on relative scaling within the universe. A Minecraft world makes its appearance at 64K kilometers. You will spend more than a few minutes scrolling along the scale, as each object is clickable for further information.
And they say you can't learn anything from Minecraft...

On single player you can toggle peaceful off/on to reset the mob spawns. Quickly check for fwap sounds or a visual on your multiple floor system. Reset mob spawn, repeat.
