Yup, when a Prince marries, his wife takes on the title Princess. If a Princess marries, her husband has no right to her title and rank under conventional circumstances. If it wasn't for a specific 'creation', Prince Philip of England, Queen Elizabeth's Husband would still only be a Duke, albeit with the style of HRH.

And I agree, we've yet to see anyone of higher rank and I doubt we will. I suspect that while Celestia and Luna hold the title Sovereign princess, Blueblood is a simple royal, if not Noble Prince. It's very possible given that such a thing can happen in real life. In Monaco, Albert II is Sovereign Prince but his sisters Caroline and Stephanie are Hereditary Princess of Monaco (Caroline's superior title as Princess of Hanover from her marriage and thus this supercedes her Monaco title).

In most European royalty, which is the area I've studied, marriage has little to do with a woman's rank unless her Husband is higher than her. If a Princess marries a commoner, using Princess Anne, Princess Royal, as an example; then she retains her Princess title but he does not become a Prince. If a Princess married a Duke, as in the case of Catherine Middleton, then she takes on her husbands Ducal title (Catherine also became a Princess but is not styled as Princess Catherine because she was not born a princess.).

Oi, I've been reading your conversation on Celestia and Luna's origins and I just wanted to throw this tidbit in.

We do know that Celestia and Luna are princesses because no little girl wants to be Queen (me on the other hand..), however there are plently of real world-nations have been/are Principalities and their highest rank 'Prince', nearly equal to the rank of 'King' and 'Emperor'.

For example, the Prince of Monaco and the Prince of Liechtenstein are both considered Sovereign Royalty in the same way that the Queen of England and the Emperor of Japan are Sovereign Royalty. A Sovereign Prince is higher ranked than say a Royal Prince such as Prince Charles of Wales.

Then you get into extant principalities (such as Wales and Austrias) and that's a whoooole 'nother can of worms that doesn't apply here.

So basically.. if Equestria is a Principality than there's no higher rank except from an outside world/country and it can be logical.

Okay, thanks. wasn't sure if it had been updated yet or not. I heard Meo had updated and wasn't having trouble so I wondered.

Ive been holding off from updating to 1.7.3 from 1.7.2 for the server. Is it alright to update to 1.7.3 or should I continue to wait?

A lot of folks here recommend watching the episodes out of order (Dragon shy is a popular first one) but I suggest watching them in order. I really enjoyed the pilot and while some feel it is the weakest, it can be enjoyable.

I love your mining technique here and have been using it extensively on a server I play on.

I've got mines at level 12 and level 15 approximately right now.

I've found plently of gold, iron, and diamond. :biggrin.gif: Strangely enough I've not seen a single bit of Lapis.

Thanks for developing a great strategy for mining and for researching all the little bits and pieces of this game.
