I am stuck in the Underworld with all upgrades, all research and a Heavenly pickaxe. It says I have not unlocked the feature to attack, and I am not attacked by the Underlord's soldiers. This never happened before. Help? :I

Haven't had this happen to me yet. Is this bug still occurring after a refresh by any chance?

Problem I'm having with new update, even thought I've reset the game but the Start Mining button is still grey and I can't click it. Anything I'm doing wrong?

I've attempted a fix, please tell me if the problem still occurs.

    It's been a while...but

    [*] Added achievement system
[*] Loading screen introduced; should no longer have to deal with flashing icons!
[*] More cheat barriers for highscores, but still not good enough!
[*] New popups (also replaces old boss screens)
[*] New miner (expensive, but very efficient! - plus if you have tons of money, why not buy a bunch?)
[*] Ability to choose between golem and witch as your allies/friends; this will soon introduce ally-specific benefits
[*] Start on new research feature (will soon include oil/drilling)!
[*] New "buy max" button introduced to ease the process of buying workers
    [*] Some minor bug fixes

I haven't really been working on this game the past few days as I've decided to create another JavaScript game with the experience and feedback I've gotten from this one. It will be updated in the future (already had an update in the works), just want to get the ball rolling on this other game.

P.S. It's incredibly easy to cheat on this game and introduce ridiculous scores to the high scores list.

P.S.S. I'm not complaining about other people's scores, I'm referring to the fact that I hold the top 5 high scores, and two of them I never even upgrade my pickaxe to do (that, and my highest score had 926,000,000).

Basically some cheat-deterrent code needs to be added, and I wouldn't mind providing tips if you want any.

I have very basic anti-cheat measures implemented. There really is no definite way of stopping cheaters, which is why I will introduce friends-only highscores sometime soon.

Sorry for going "silent." I've had a lot of major tests recently (finals exams & SAT), so I had to take some days off. Will be looking through all feedback & suggestions. :)

    Some problems/suggestions:

I can't seem to successfully attack the Shrine and I keep losing money in the process, what am I doing wrong/what am I supposed to be doing? This is what I get every time I fight the Pigmen: http://i.imgur.com/FRI5SLr.png

EDIT: I jumped into the portal really quickly after defeating the Pigmen in the overworld, quickly clicking "Attack the Shrine!"—Is that what you're supposed to do? Even when I do that, though, after the countdown from 30 reaches 0 the Shrine's health never goes down.

Are you using Heavenly Soldiers? Only heavenly soldiers can be used to attack anything in the underworld.

Is this supposed to happen? http://i.imgur.com/CfXBNd7.png

This is the result of clicking too fast between messages, and two messages are being wrote out at once (it's finishing the previous message and starting the new one). This is one of the bugs I've been meaning to fix for a while.

What even is the point of Heavenly Templars, aren't they a waste of money? Knights are $100/KPE, Skilled Knights are $80/KPE (so better than Knights), but Heavenly Templars are $250/KPE (worse than both Knights and Skilled Knights)—why would I pick that? Do they die less or something that makes up for that?

Their price is a lot larger due to the fact they are the only soldiers that can attack in the underworld. All other soldiers are rendered useless in the underworld.

How do I prevent the images from flashing? I've refreshed the page several times over the past few days, closed and opened Chrome, shut down my computer, etc. Why aren't they being cached?

Generally just after playing for a little bit they cache, so maybe you have to wait a little longer. But in the next update I'm working on the game loop, and I'm going to try and implement a fix or reduce this problem a lot.

Also, the horizontal scrollbar isn't too much of an issue but just the same isn't favorable (I have no idea what's causing it, maybe the screen shake? Although it's there before the screen even shakes on a refresh).

What's your monitor resolution, and what browser are you using? No horizontal scroll bar shows up for me.

I fought the Underworld's soldiers and lost because my 32k Knights died, but I also had 10k Skilled Knights and Heavenly Templars; it would be nice if when one army was completely depleted if it then used the other ones rather than defaulting to a loss.

That is what it's suppose to do. Is this still happening?

It might be helpful if the popup for the Portal said something about you needed to quickly use it before the Zombie Pigmen start coming out again (while the number is still zero); I kept trying to enter and couldn't understand why I wasn't able to get in (I found myself thinking "but I've defeated the army several times, why won't it let me in?").

Haha, yeah. The Underlord replenishes his army every 30 seconds. When you're in the underworld, it's replenished by 20,000 (compared to the normal rate in the overworld).

Thanks :) Despite the problems I really enjoy the game mechanics compared to Cookie Clicker, Candy Box, and other incremental games.

Thanks! Feedback like this really helps drive and improve the game. I appreciate it, and hope in time I fix all the problems you've listed above. The next update should be in the next few days if I can find the time.

Made a quick patch, negative soldier's bug should be fixed.

    Currently working on:
    • Enchantments
    • Achievements (just need achievement icons -- I am most definitely not a visual person ;P)
    • Leaderboards (create groups to challenge friends)
    • Food system for soldiers (still need to think on this one)
    • [UNDECIDED] Create barracks to store soldiers. (still need to think on this one)

You say that you need more ideas? Well, the first thing that comes to mind for me is to add things from the end like you did the nether (pigmen-endermen, glowstone-endstone). Another thing if you wanted to add more other than blocks and enemies, you could aim for bringing something similar to enchanting. Maybe you have to buy an enchantment first, before you can apply it? That would add upgrades to pickaxes for people to buy, once they have more money than they can spend. Its a great game, very addicting.

I believe this has been suggested before, so I'll definitely get on this and squeeze it in for whenever the next update is. Just gotta think on how I should do it. ;)

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey- maybe you should pimp out the site a bit? Add maybe a dirt background to it? Also, make the Chicken's army go up slower, I am getting screwed. other then that, super awesome game!

Yeah, Thief said he'd help me out with some backgrounds. Hope he can provide some soon. :)

Not really afaik. I'm saving up money for the upcoming updates. I also decided to make a Reddit post about this little game on /r/Minecraft

Haha, that must be the reason why the site is going so slow. I checked the site statistics and there were 40 active people just from Reddit.

Anyways, still looking for more ideas to add to the game. Sitting here trying to think of some.

I think I'm going to implement food, which you will need to have a steady supply of to keep your soldiers fed. Maybe instead of just mining, you'll be able to cut trees to build barracks to store your troops. And I'm sure we can build off of that woodcutting system to implement new buildings that will provide for future features.

Also, for the next update, could you fix this weird bug where the dialogue appears way too high up the screen, and I can only see the bottom line of it? Maybe you could also fix the fact that you can be pushed into negative troop ranges if you get especially pounded in a battle. it makes it possible to be put in unwinnable situations.

The negative troop thing was never suppose to happen, and I'll definitely look into this and try and have a fix later tonight. :)

As for the boss messages messing up, I'm not sure why this is happening to people as I've tested it in all major browsers. Nonetheless, I can make a workaround and have a fix out soon.

I am stuck on beating the zombie pigman, he has 24 million troops and I have 2000. Its almost impossible to get troops at this point. I think you should make it easier to get knights.

Do you go straight into battle with the Underlord after getting portal parts? I beat him by becoming partners with Don Chikolio and increasing my income, then breaking that partnership and go to war.

You should add a "Buy Maximum" button on the Knight tabs and Worker tabs. The point would be to be able to buy as many as possible with your current amount of cash.

    I'll add it in. :)

You should make vault upgrade 7 cost $9001. You'd be surprised how far little references like that go toward making people geek out about something.

    Lmfao. xD
