Hello. I will show you how to create a server with a beautiful program called McMyAdmin.

Bear in mind that you need a decent internet with a minimum of 2gb RAM and Microsoft .Net 4 :smile.gif:

So, First I'll tell you what McMyAdmin does. It is a program that can run the server, and it adds more commands (e.g. /summon (instead of /tp) and /giveme (without the playername, and item names! :biggrin.gif:) Stuff like that.

You also get a personal webpage (localhost:8080) where you can control everything with a neat GUI..

    Screeny:

    Explanation:

There are quite a few tabs in the McMyAdmin site. For example, the Chat tab is a chat plugin that broadcasts messages in the game itself (Same as /say..?) but without the necessity of having to type /say beforehand. Also, you can run scheduled tasks (/say's, restarts, world saves etc.) without lifting a finger. As for Backups, you can use /backupworld ingame to automatically copy the world file and zip it up in a safe place :tongue.gif: The Preferences tab is all the stuff in the server.properties: The Nether, Monsters etc.

And it's perfectly detailed and not weird like the vanilla server.properties (as in spawn-monsters or hell-world etc.)

So it's a great program, virus-free. You can also go to the About tab to also automatically download Craftbukkit or download the vanilla minecraft_server.jar AUTOMATICALLY! :ohmy.gif: It's a great program, I use it myself for my private server :tongue.gif:

Also, the Users and Groups tab is for the people who are OP's and stuff. You can also make someone an admin so he can use McMyAdmin commands (/help in game, or in console)

Step one: Make a folder on your desktop (or wherever you want)

OK, now you need to download McMyAdmin, and extract the contents there: McMyAdmin Link

Now, we can start McMyAdmin.exe once, to get it to download the server files.

Now we can open up server.properties (With Notepad, Notepad++, your favourite word file editor).

The files are located in the Minecraft folder, to maintain the cleanliness of the server folder. (For me, it is "Server Bukkit\Minecraft")

Here's a quick explanation of the values:

level-name= (Name of map, by default is "world)

view-distance= (No need to touch this)

difficulty= (This is the difficulty, [1-easy, 3-hard etc.])

gamemode= (This is either 0 or 1, 0 being survival, 1 being creative.)

server-ip= (Best left untouched, if untouched, then the IP used to connect to is your computer's external IP.)

motd= (This is the message in the Multiplayer tab of minecraft.)

    Others are usually self-explanatory.

If you have a router, use PortForward, if not, skip ahead.

Now, we need to portforward. Go here. and select your router's brand, and then Minecraft Server (Under M, use Ctrl+F)

After you have portforwarded, check it over here: LALALA

Enter the port in server-port in server.properties and run McMyAdmin and see if it works at the site.

If it does, you have successfully set up a server :biggrin.gif:

If there are any questions, feel free to ask below.

Also, if this post has helped you whatsoever, please click the green + at the bottom right of my post :smile.gif:

    It helps a lot! :biggrin.gif:

Copyright PhonicUK, who made this epic program. :biggrin.gif: Cheers!
