I've been having a really weird sort of problem with MCA. I left my server on Peaceful difficulty overnight, and when I came back the caves were filled top to bottom with hundreds of villagers.
Then, when I turned the difficulty back up, hostile mobs refused to spawn naturally. It was all villagers, all the time.
I think what happened is they decided the caves were their home village, and started spawning new villagers to fill it up... and without any predators to thin their numbers, their subterranean society began to spread without limit.
And then I guess villagers must belong to the MONSTER spawn list? And they reached the spawn cap on their own, which prevented any more MONSTER mobs from spawning.
Would it be possible to put a configurable cap on the number of villagers in the world? I saw an option for number of kids, but not of villagers. Also, something to make villagers not treat underground areas as villages unless they're well-lit?
I was wondering, is there a breakdown of what the various config options in the Hostile Worlds configs mean?
Is coolDownFirstTime the delay before the first meteor hits? I tried increasing that to around three days (real-time), but I started getting invasions within hours of starting. And why is coolDownFirstTime lower than coolDownBetweenInvasionsPortal?
What exactly does invasionBaseInvaderCount do? It's 6 by default, but the numbers I'm getting seem to be way, way higher than that.
What does timeBasedInvasions do, and why is it false by default? Don't invasions already happen according to time elapsed?
Also, is there any way to make block wielder zombies have a range shorter than 100m? They appear to be able to kill you before you even know they're there.
When I set up the tunnel bore, it always throws all the blocks it mines on the ground, even when I have a cart connected to it. It also won't take fuel, etc. out of the connected carts. Is there something I'm doing wrong? A config option I might have screwed up?
I've been trying to set up this mod for a modpack, and I've been really enjoying it... except for one thing. Every time I start the game, all the config files reset to their default values. Is there a way I can stop this?
Like it's stated in the main post, at the bottom of the post, that you can find here, you can read the copyright notice that I took the liberty to screenshot to answer your question:
Oh whoops, I completely missed the clause about "public display". I guess I saw "advance written permission" and immediately jumped to requesting said permission. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Hi there. Could I use this mod in a small semi-private modpack I'm planning to use in a video series? It's a sort of steampunky affair, meant to be played in Hardcore Mode with a large number of friends. People will have to work together closely to survive in a world they don't understand—and to ensure it's a world they don't understand, I've been gathering some of the best less-known mods from around the forums. The new mechanics of your mod, in particular, are sure to throw my players for a hell of a loop.

I'm using the latest 1.7 version, by the way.

Also, does your 1.7.2 version work for 1.7.10 as well?

Thanks in advance.
