Even Older Versions
Even older versions of OptiFine are available in the OptiFine history.
If you have previously used MCPatcher for HD Textures, HD Fonts or Better Grass (important)
Follow these steps to prevent a possible "Black Screen" problem when installing OptiFine:
1. Temporarily revert back to the Default Texture Pack.
2. Uninstall the HD Textures, HD Fonts, and Better Grass mods from the MCPatcher. These functions are included in OptiFine.
3. Set Graphics to Fancy
4. Install OptiFine and test with the Default Texture Pack to make sure everything is working.
5. Select your previous texture pack and graphics settings
6. Run Minecraft and enjoy
Compatibility with other mods
When installing OptiFine together with other mods always make sure to install OptiFine last. The only exception are mods which are designed to be installed after OptiFine and say so in their install instructions.
If you need ModLoader: Install OptiFine AFTER ModLoader.
If you need Forge: Install OptiFine AFTER Forge.
MCPatcher is NOT needed for HD textures, HD fonts and BetterGrass, they are included in OptiFine. Install OptiFine without MCPatcher's HD features for best performance.
If you need DynamicLights (ModLoader edition): Install OptiFine AFTER DynamicLights.
Compatible with: ModLoader, Forge, SinglePlayerCommands, TooManyItems, PlasticCraft, CJB's Modpack, Zan's Minimap, Rei's Minimap, DynamicLights, GLSL Shaders 2, LittleBlocks and many other.
Not compatible with: CCTV, The Aether.
Installation
For Minecraft 1.6.2 and newer
A. Simple (for OptiFine 1.6.2_C4 and newer)
- Double-click the downloaded JAR file and the OptiFine installer should start
- Click "Install" and OptiFine will be installed in the official Minecraft launcher with its own profile "OptiFine"
- Start the official launcher and play
B. Easy
- Use the official launcher to download and start once Minecraft 1.6.2.
- Double-click the downloaded JAR file and the OptiFine installer should start
- Click "Extract" and save the OptiFine MOD file
- Start Magic Launcher
- Click "Setup"
- Select Environment "1.6.2"

C. Complex
- Use the official launcher to download and start once Minecraft 1.6.2.
- Go to the minecraft base folder (the official launchers shows it when you click "Edit Profile" as "Game Directory")

- Rename the folder "1.6.2" to "1.6.2_OptiFine"
- Go in the subfolder "1.6.2_OptiFine"
- Rename "1.6.2.jar" to "1.6.2_OptiFine.jar"
- Rename "1.6.2.json" to "1.6.2_OptiFine.json"
- Open the file "1.6.2_OptiFine.json" with a text editor and replace "id":"1.6.2" with "id":"1.6.2_OptiFine" and save the file
- Copy the files from the OptiFine ZIP file in "1.6.2_OptiFine.jar" as usual (you can use the 1.5.2 instructions for this) and remove the META-INF folder from "1.6.2_OptiFine.jar".
- Start the official launcher
- Click "Edit Profile" - Select "Use version:" -> "release 1.6.2_OptiFine"
- Click "Save Profile"
- Click "Play" or "Login" to start the game. If only "Play Offline" is available, then log out and log in again to fix it.
Installation for Minecraft 1.6.2 with Forge

If possible start with a clean minecraft.jar and check the mod compatibility section above.
A. Easy Installation
1. Download and start the Magic Launcher
2. Click Setup, click Add, select the downloaded zip file
3. Click OK, login and play Minecraft
B. Manual Installation
Windows/Linux Instructions:
1. Locate your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, it's in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin
2. Create a backup of minecraft.jar
3. Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
4. Delete the META-INF folder.
5. Copy (drag and drop) the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.
6. Run Minecraft and test!

What's New With V2.14?
Information about the mod is now on the wiki!This mod was developed as a little side project of mine. I had seen previous Meteor mods before with some of the features I have here, but they have all been discontinued or missing. After many hours of coding I have completed my goal and come out with an awesome mod. This mod includes many excellent features that make it stand out from the rest of the old Meteor mods. The features of this mod are listed below.
Features:- Meteors Fall to the ground and explode, forming craters that house various minerals from space.
- New Tools that give different properties: Magnetization, slowing enemies, burning enemies, mining underwater faster, etc.
- New Armor Sets that give you different abilities: Magnetization, walking on water, immunity to fire, etc.
- Mine all the minerals from the craters as quick as possible because the debris from the crash will cool, giving less minerals
- Protect your precious creations with Meteor Shields that can be fully upgraded to protect a huge area of land.
- Varying sizes and types of Meteors
- Craft Detectors to find out WHERE a meteor is going to land
- Craft a Meteor Timer to determine WHEN a meteor is going to land
- Freeze blocks using the Freezer as well as craft ice, packed ice, and more.
- Summon meteors down onto your friends with Meteor Summoners
- Obtain an adorable Comet Kitty as a pet!
- Configure the mod to your liking with many configuration options
- Fully SMP compatible!
- Multilingual!

Recipes
Apple Trees
apple trees can be planted on dirt and grass blocks, apple trees have 6 growing stages and need a light level of 9 or higher to grow, when fully grown apple trees drop apples over time. Can be found on forest biomes.
Orange Trees
orange trees can be planted on dirt and grass blocks, orange trees have 6 growing stages and need a light level of 9 or higher to grow, when fully grown orange trees drop oranges over time. Can be found on forest biomes.
Lemon Trees
lemon trees can be planted on dirt and grass blocks, lemon trees have 6 growing stages and need a light level of 9 or higher to grow, when fully grown lemon trees drop lemons over time. Can be found on forest biomes.
Mint Plants
mint plant can be planted on farmland only, mint plants have 6 growing stages when fully grown they drop mint and some mint seeds.
Nether Flowers
nether flowers can be planted on soulsand only, they have 6 growing stages and drop blaze powder and some seeds when fully grown. They can be found on the nether.
Rake
the rake is a tool similar to the hoe but can only be used on grass, when you use the rake on a grass block it turn it into dirt an have a chance of droping a seed(apple seeds,Orange seeds,lemon seeds,cocoa seeds, mint seeds, melon seeds and pumpking seeds), the better the rake the better chance of getting seeds(gold has the higher chance).
Chocolate bar
chocolate bar its a food item that heals 2 hunger.
mint chocolate bar
its the same that chocolate bar but instead of hunger it heal 2 hearts and max stack size is 16.
Chocolate Candy
heals 1 hunger instantly(no animation).
Milk Bottle
obtained by right clicling a cow with an empty bottle, milk bottles cures poison.
Mint Tea
heals 4 Hearts and have a max stack size of 16.
Cold Chocolate Bottle
heals 2 hunger.
Hot Chocolate Bottle

Fruit Leaves Decay
when a fruit tree drops a fruit his leaves have a 1/3 chances of becoming a normal leave that dont drop fuits, this feature is on by default but you can turn it off on the config file(leaveDecay).
Configurable terrain generation
you can disable trees and nether flowers generation on the config file.
Configurable Fruit Drop Rate
you can change fruit drop rates using the config file(higher number = slower drop rate).
Note: you can change ids using the BF.cfg file on the config folder (Server Config is on the config folder on the server directory).

Go to help. At one page you will see /give [ID] [amount] [data]. When you make a potion, it has an ID. You can see this ID with the TMI mod. You type in the numbers before the : and then put in the number of potions that you want, then put in the numbers after the : . I hope this helps.
You can also use the vanilla method of seeing item IDs/data values using F3 + H (hovering over the items will add the IDs to the tooltip).
And to clarify even further: you don't put a semicolon anywhere in the give command, only spaces. So for your give command, simply replace the semicolon with a space, but you'll need to add an amount after the item ID and before the data value:
/give @p 373:8226 -> /give @p 373 1 8226
Thus the 373 is the item ID, the 1 is the number of potions to give, and the 8226 is your selected potion effect. - To post a comment, please login.
