Heres all the current source. if some one wants to continue the mod i would be happy to advertise it here. but heres what i got, you can take and use anything you want as long as i get some credit or mention for my source.

I made an API for this. Took like 15 minutes. I'm going to test it a bit more then release it.
Eh, i was attempting to add the same level of functionality that forge adds for player armor. but i don't really have the time to get it working to the extent i wanted.

No this mod will not be compatible with bukkit. this something that is supposed to merge bukkit and forge but i cannot for the life of me remember what its called, that and i make no claim that it will work. as far as a release date goes all i can say is No. I will not give any form of estimate as to when it will be updated. it will be a little while because i am working 50 hours a week and the little free time i have is split between many projects.

I can't honestly see it being that difficult, but this SHOULD be fixed by Mojang. Spam their twitters and tell them that for someone who is making a modding API (lol), they are making it a lot more difficult for modders using the current setup.
it is that difficult. normally you can get the instance of armor's itemstack client side to figure out if its enchanted, colored, or what not. but with they god awful armor system there is no way to. the only thing the client knows about what armor the horse is wearing is a number. 0, 1, 2, or 3. 0 means no armor, all the others mean one of the 3 armor. it does not even remotely compare to the player's armor system and is honestly some of the laziest programing ive seen in the fact that it does not allow any form of expansion. Im thinking who ever programed it really didn't care about how usable his code would be in the long term.
Aug 7, 2013Since the release of 1.6 i had always thought that horse armor would be a great feature for mods to add. so I posted on the forge forums in their suggestions section that maybe the forge developers should try to add that capability to forge but the topic did not get much traction(or any traction for that matter). but i was wondering if anyone else wants to be able to see mods do this? I had started to modify forge to be able to do this but found that mojang really screwed up the way horse armor works and adding custom horse armor will not be a simple task. but never the less i want to know if the effort it would take would be worth it to get mod based horse armor working?Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods

Nice try but... none of the good news masked the bad. However, does this mean your programmer is no longer going to be able to work with you guys?
P.S. Who IS the lead programmer? IamShortMan?
I am the lead programing. and I plan to stay that way. Its just for the duration of my internship that i will have to put this mod(and other hobbies) on the back burner so to speak. I will still be finishing the 1.6 update(hopefully tomorrow night, but that doesn't count bug fixes ) and helping with small things. I hope you guys can be understanding during this time because this internship is very very important for me and my future career.

We definitely want it for 1.6, and what is it with mods and updates? Why dont mods work with every version? I understand it with eg. 1.3, when coding changed, but...
because code always changes. every update something is different that requires a mod to change how it works. recently the new resource pack system has completely changed how textures are loaded.

Um this has absolutely nothing to do with Shutrugal. I understand wanting to promote a growing mod but this is in no way the proper place to do it. Unless The mod is ether another project by one of the devs, or a mod that would help augment Shurtugal like an Addon, Eragon Themed Weapon pack, etc. I would ask that you refrain from doing this in the future.

I'd put up a 24/7 server but this release is just a tad too buggy. Also how do you handle temple spawns online? Would there be a way to get an option to have infinite temple egg respawns without having to manually replace the spawn block?
not yet. the temple spawners are copied from old 1.2.5 code that didnt include that function and i never got around to adding it. i will try to get it into one of the next versions.

I have not worked on this mod in weeks. and truthfully i don't think i will ever work on it again. Both My Energy and Interest in this project have died after 6 months of getting now where very fast. I love the Vehicles and might make a stand alone mod with them(cause i spent hours of my time on them) but the grid will never come to reality. I just don't have the time or imagination to make it.
