Hey, great mod! Just started it yesterday, and the only problem I noticed was that the refugee still referred to me as king and talked about the evil guys even though I hadn't even spoken to the guild master yet.
Also, have you even thought of putting a dungeon type thing under the guild hall to help the path to kingship along a bit quicker? Just a long mob filled dungeon with little to no loot.

Warning: There is a considerable amount of magma inside the block, however I do not suggest using it for fuel.
Oh, I was under the assumption that the lanes would just go above each other (Although this way is just as good too.
That iron meteor looks incredibly cool. The forest looks okay, it could use something interesting in it. Perhaps put some giant mushrooms either above ground or below ground. Since you have the weird mushroom stem things anyway.
Yea, I need to work on making the forest more interesting; I've been thinking of adding a cloud layer made of snow above it. There's a twisting mushroom area below the forest, so that should supply the team with all the mushrooms they need.
Would it be possible to get an overview? Just to get a feel on how on earth you're going to make over-lapping lanes while preventing the team on top having a huge advantage over the other team. I assume it will be made so that both teams over lap at a point so that the teams will be under each other at the same time (Incredibly difficult to type in words but I hope you get the idea)
that's a picture of what a single lane looks like in MCedit
If you look in the original diagram I laid out, the thin red line represents this lane, and the green line will represent the other team's lane. The places where the green and red overlap will be small defined PVP areas. In order to avoid one team camping the PVP areas, I've made the last parts of the map a loop so that there are two possible exits from the wool area, rather than the single one.
I've decided to try my hand at a Race For Wool map, originally created by Vechs. However, my design will contain overlapping lanes and look like this:
There will be 16 blocks in between each lane, and the whole map will be 10x10 chunks (which I may change in order to get more space to work, but I'm working on thinking vertically instead of horizontally).
Feel free to tell my why this won't work/how I can do it better!
I've been watching the team map fights on youtube and have been a bit inspired to possibly create my own map.
I do have a question, though, in regards to creating the team maps. How are you mirroring the lanes? Is this some function in mcedit? Or an external script?
it's in MCedit
select and copy the first lane you make, flip it, and then paste it with a chunk in between.
if you look to the right, that bedrock tower is going to get a lot larger and hold both the farm that I will provide (without anything already planted, however) as well as the first wool dungeon.
