This isn't a fantasy biome, the podzol has low nutrients, and not much grows there except the trees, thats all I can recall.
May 12, 2013With the new texturepack system, you can do a lot, such as make animations, and higher resolution texturepacks without mods. It would be very convenient if we could add textures to the game using two methods.Posted in: Suggestions
The first method is the use of suffixes. Each of the suffixes are _top, _bottom, _side and _random#. The suffixes _top, _bottom, and _side will change the top, bottom, or side textures of that block. For example, if I wanted to make dirt look like grass, I could name the top, side, and bottom of the dirt like this... dirt_top, dirt_side, and dirt_bottom. The _random# suffix will make random block textures available.
The second method would be texture modding. Texture modding would work in this format... NEWBLOCKNAME_NEWBLOCKID_SUFFIX(If needed).png. When you use a texturepack with one of these in it, a block with this texture and ID will be modded into the game. This would also work with server texturepacks.
Thanks to FallaciousFoxtrot for mentioning this idea... If you rename an item to "Baseball Bat" then it would look like one. To work, would there be an extra texture in the items folder named, "ORIGINALITEMID_Baseball Bat.png. This item would look like a baseball bat after you rename it with an anvil.

You can basically do anything you want to do, but if I IHateChores, asks you to do something then you must do it. I will joke around a bit, and I will be testing too. There are currently three slots available and if you want more you can ask for more on here. If there is lag I will try to fix it even by shutting off the server for a while.
There has been a misunderstanding if the server is creative or not. When you first join, you have adventure mode. You need to follow the path out and read all of the signs in the path and on the rules board. Then say the key words and get survival, a D pick and an Ender Chest. You can also ask for supplies to build, and if I trust you enough you get opped. Fair enough.

I'd say skeletons.
They give you bones for bonemeal, which can get you seeds, bread, flowers, tall grass and if you have just one of each mushroom you can create lots more by making giant mushrooms and cutting them down, giving you tons of mushroom stew.
They also give you arrows and now even bows. (with a rare chance they are enchanted too)
You gave me the reasons to like a hostile mob.

I'll try it.
It looks like a bunch of corrupted chunks for sure; the log is now 3MB of "Entity in wrong location" type errors. It's stuck on "Building Terrain" it seems.
it finished. Definitely missing chunks hanging around. Based on the log it looks like corruption managed to get entities in the wrong chunk, which in bulk may have caused those chunks to take too long to load and thus fail. The world also only extends a little bit beyond a small wheat farm that is on a hill in a desert.
I wrote a quick script that attempts to delete chunks with entities in the incorrect location. They appear to be the cause of the problem (both that large chunk of creepers and some of the sheep).
Unzip it and stick the folder in your saves folder as I'm sure you know. Don't replace the corrupted version though since some missing chunks might still be present in the old data.
When I re-opened with 1.7.9 it loaded about normal speed- and it seems to work fine. There are some chunks that got regenerated. I didn't explore very far. There is a large castle that is intact- though I had no food so wasn't able to go to the desert to see if those structures were alright.
There are still a crapload of sheep but they don't appear to be causing any problems anymore. You might have to just kill off the ones that are there. I do notice that the castle is on a giant sheer cliff that looks like a terrain generation version boundary, though it also has some decorations that extend out so I think that might be the way it was.
Hopefully that helps you out. The regenerated chunks are new terrain so they have a tendency to look a bit odd. a bit funky but I don't know a really good way to force in the 1.6.1 terrain for those chunks without causing possible problems. I wasn't able to explore very far but it seems better. Also the regenerated chunks are so far just a single chunk each.

Did Mojang even test any of those updates though? No 1.7.7 snapshots or anything. If there were snapshots, then we'd be on 1.7.7 and not 1.7.9. Now, people, this is why there are snapshots. Otherwise, 1.4's last update would have been 1.4.27.
Generally, they don't do snapshots for update patches unless they add new features (like the 1.4.6 snapshots). Otherwise, they usually only do pre-releases of the next patch, and if new bugs show up, they just don't release that patch and move right on to the next pre-release, like how 1.4's official release was 1.4.2, then came 1.4.4, etc.
I'm surprised they haven't been doing that now.
It would be neat to see a 1.7.10, just to show everyone that version numbers aren't decimals.

Fireworks have never been easier! Instead of the crafting multi-step process, this idea organizes all of the crafting components into a simplified GUI, or graphical user interface, which streamlines the process.

A few major changes in comparison to the old crafting system:
> Color is where you add dyes.
> Effects are where you put effects. No, you can't do conflicting effects.
> Fade is where you put more dyes for the fade-out colors.
> Time is where you add the gunpowder that distinguishes how far it goes.
> Paper is where you add paper.
Notice that it skips the firework star step. The firework star always seemed a little... weak of an idea. It made sense but just added to the complexity. If you really need more colors than three (I have absolutely no idea why you would) then you can add fireworks into the bottom-left side where there's a firework and add colors, effects, fades, or extend time. If you try to add conflicting effects, it won't.
What is its durability?
Infinite, because it's a purely aesthetic item. And because there's a hundred votes for that.
