    I'll be honest, pure survival servers are actually kinda rare from what I can tell, the typical "Small - pure survival - server for just plain old minecraft" dont really gather much attention anymore and tend to suffer from lack of cashflow to keep it up and running.


    Except for servers hosted in someone elses living room or something, those are usually whitelist servers that have a tight knit community.

    application processes are the usual way in.

    I am offering up this server free of charge. Do whatever "type" of server you want.

    Submission requirements:
    1: Information on who I'm going to be sponsoring.
    2: information on any past experience operating a server.
    3: Information about the type of game play players will experience
    4: The IP you want for the players to connect to.

    (example) "Whateveryouwanthere".mcservers.ws <-this will be the IP

    (optional) 5: How long "estemated" will it take to get game play running

    6: Must state in your submission that you accept the agreement below if picked.

    If Picked I would like the person to abide a few rules.

    We are versed in all manner of vanilla and modded Minecraft.
    Due to recent events we have had to close down shop for a while, thus our last online server is the one I'm offering. most of us have moved on to other games or (like myself) have had to grow up and find jobs wich takes most of our time now.

    A new open-world MMORPG server is looking for a few builders to help with the work load.
    Currently there is about ~4 builders trying to get the job done, including myself.

    We only have 2 requirement for builders:
    1: If you decide to build something, try and stick to the "theme" of nearby structures.
    2: The ability to listen to others and work with them is a must.
    Other than that builders will be given 100% creative control on anything they want to build.Builders will be given credits to what they built ingame when the game goes live.


    So far implemented:
    1: Quests: story mode quests and random farmable quests with no impact on the story mode.
    2: Personal horses(that actually help you fight!)
    3: Mobs with levels that get harder as you wander out.
    4: Armor/weapons/items that get better from higher leveled mobs.
    5: Field chests and chests you have to "lockpick" to aquire whats inside.
    6: Dungeons...nuff said
    Plan to implement:
    1: Special skills that activate when you swing any sword/bow/weapon
    2: Dungeon Bosses
    3: Field/random bosses


    This is a story where a Legendary Hero failed in his quest. With the immense power left at the moment of his death denied his passing. Now he walks among us in his afterlife.
    After years have went by, he discovered that he could interact with the living world using powerful souls of the recently departed.
    Using this method he seeks the help of new heroes and intrepid adventures to help him right his failure so many years ago.

    you'll need to consider alot more than that.
    Last time I checked its either the Dw20 Pack or the pack with the most mods (ftbextreme I believe)
    but take note:
    on modded servers
    more people = more lag. (meaning you'll need more RAM)
    more people = more abuse of the mods.
    more people = more errors to deal with. (a particular pain in the but)
    more people = the need to ban particular items to keep your server alive.

    If you haven't done a server with mods before, start small and grow from there.
    More people does not mean better server.

    Bit about me before I "sell myself"
    I'm 23 (your looking for maturity wont be a problem)
    I've bought one 50+ player server
    Started and configured one vanilla server and one modded server
    Both having roughly 25+ players at any given time.
    Eventually sold all 3 to others due to me wanting to explore other venues.
    I'm currently running a "Rust" server and messing around in there. (no players as of yet, its a weird community)

    Now that my shameless selling is done.
    I can help ya out if you like...(but i don't consider myself a "High end coder"...just a dude with good intuition)

    In my experience,if you're looking for a mod (lets use buildcraft as an example, BC for short) usually where they post the information about BC there are 2 links for downloading. One is for the client the other is the server file download.

    Download the one for the server obviously (make sure its in the correct directory. Just like the plugins has its own folder, so will the mods) and just drag and drop from your computer to your server via your FTP-> restart the server and the mod should boot up thus allowing your players to use the mods on your server.

    If the console throws a crap ton of errors, the mod is in the wrong place in the files. If the console shows no errors but players cant use the mod then the server cant even see the mod folder and extra steps need to be taken to resolve that...thing...issue...whatever :P
