Jul 30, 2011HotTomatoes posted a message on 1.8 Updates: New Mob...Revealed?"Farlanders" seems about right for these guys though. Think about it, they are odd creatures not of this land, such as Farlands is not of this "world" we call Minecraft. You think that a backstory could be that they came from the Farlands? I mean, considering how long it takes for you to get to farlands, it would make sense you only now start to see them appearing.Posted in: News

Also, to add in on the bugs. Every now and again, redstone torches will burn out, and the only way to make them stop burning out after every signal sent is by restarting minecraft.

Just like zombies breaking down doors in hard, they should be only able to break blocks in hard. if the zombie can not reach the door to the villager, he will start breaking the block right in-front of it. Break the blocks either at the speed of the player's fist or 3/4 or the player's fist. The more 'hard' the block is (ex. sand is weakest, sand and gravel are second, cobblestone, stone, goes on), the longer it takes for the zombies to break the block. If the zombies group in the general area of the block breaking, the speed of the blocks breaking is increased for the general area. A possible heavy zombie could have maybe 1-2 more health, do 2-3 more hearts of damage, but slower then the standard zombie. He can break blocks faster then the standard zombie as well.
Improve the trading a bit, and maybe the actual intelligence of the big nosed squids, and you'll have a reason to protect them.
