    Vanilla With Spice!
You may be asking yourself, "Why should I, a respectable player, join this server?". Well..
    • Withercraft keeps a more 'vanilla' aspect that minecraft offers, while bringing some of the ease of plugins for travel to and from your base, and keeping the cheaters out of the server.
    • The 20k borders allows players to spread themselves out, while not going so far out that you might as well be playing Singleplayer with chat.
    • PVP and raiding of player bases are allowed on this server, so let your sword swing and your arrows whistle in the air! Who says a base can't be functional, and stylish?
    • Using the new head function added in with 1.4, apon claiming a kill, the victim's body will drop a copy of their head, along with anything else they had. Nothing else says 'Go away' more then a head on a pike outside your house!
    • With hourly saves, with 24/7 uptime, you'll never have to worry about any major rollbacks, or being denied your play time.
    • A combat logger guarantees that you'll never have a fleeing target log out on you mid-fight.
If you've bothered to read this far with interest in the server, why not take a look at the server and see if it works for you?

posted a message on why cant we switch to survival and creative in a game?
    Quote from Geneo

They've ruined survival as it is, and you want to make it even easier?
    No.

The whole "live long and prosper" concept and challenge of survival is no more as it is. Run out of diamond swords or armor? Just pop into creative and get another set…. or chest(s) full. Trouble with slimes? Just load up on sticky pistons. Mob about to get you? No problem, just hit a button, pop into creative and fly away. Basically you're virtually immortal…. and you're calling that "playing survival"? Not even close.

What they could've done is a compromise: going into creative is fine, but once you leave it and go into survival that's it- you have to stay there.

There's no real reason to play survival mode anymore.
    And that's too bad.

You know why this doesn't matter?:

Because people can choose to play anyway they want. They want to duplicate items in, or enter creative mode to give themselves extra items? Sure, let them do that, it isn't hurting anyone but themselves. Saying it ruined survival is just stupid, as seeing the PC version has gone for quite some time with creative mode, and if anything, survival mode has gotten better.

    Creative is for building
Survival is for building with monsters

posted a message on Locked Chest in 1.8 Update!
Pretty sure hes talking about the Steve Co. chest notch put in during 1.6 beta as a bit of a laugh towards Mann Co. store. It was a chest that generated randomly on the surface, and when clicking it, asked if you wanted to go to the Steve Co. store. You people should use this magical thing called the "Minecraft Wiki", it goes for all ports of minecraft.

Not really! Easilly goto any corner of the map, dig to bedrock and make portal there, cross over and get netherack! Once done make sure to destroy portal in nether and rebuild inside of netherack mountain nearby! When you get back toss water on portal so no sounds emenate from portal! Pillar back up and cover hole! As long as you started digging in the corner, you can find it again!

Host creates portal in corner, user creates portal in another corner. 2 portals in the nether now. Major redflag to host.

Nether-rack.. There's plenty of it, and with a few rules regarding no nether access, it can be controlled by the host rather easily.

Dispensers have two functions: Shoot and dispense.
Dispensers shoot arrows and eggs, and it dispenses everything else. A dispenser is activated via redstone, either it be a pressureplate, redstone wires, or torch. Once xbox mc hits around the 1.3.1 mark, a dispenser will be able to place and take lava and water, place boats and minecrafts, and shoot fire charges (basically like a shootable flint n steel).

Jukeboxes can play music disk, which are either found via dungeon, or creeper drop (only when a skeleton's arrow kills the creeper). Has no real use other then that.

posted a message on xbox will catch up to pc in no time
Xbox MC is going to be nothing but a port of the PC version. If 4J DOES manage to fully update to current pc version, they will have to wait for the pc to update, then they have to port that update. Xbox mc isn't getting anything special.

posted a message on World size isn't getting bigger.
Larger worlds are going to be hard to pull off with 4 player split screen an option.

You have to realize that for each player that joins, the xbox has to render each player's perspective. Imagine taking a fully generated world, and rendering it x4 on the xbox's current software. It isn't pretty.

So yes, in a way, split screen is actually hold back the world size.

posted a message on TEKKIT Xbox 360 $20
You guys realize how optimized xbox mc is already, right? Tekkit already adds loads of things to render in, which can cause chunk loading issues (similar to the ones you used to get by going near the end of the map on a friend's world). I'm running MC on my PC with everything maxed setting, and I still have to allocate more RAM to run tekkit, and don't even get me started with Technic (so many errors, aaaa-). I think the only way you'd even start to get it is if they remove 4 player splitscreen, but odds are IF they do make this a DLC, you won't be getting much bigger worlds. If the xbox's specs were a bit more updated, then maybe they could pull it off. I mean, you guys are already having issues with having too many pistons running at once, let alone an entire factory's worth of machinery running at once (and possibly more if you're having others play with you).

posted a message on Custom Skins...
Main reason custom skins are never going to happen (at least community wise):

Did you notice how all the skins released so far are from games that are on xbox only? This is because of a magical thing called copyrights. If they were to allow custom skin creation, they would probably have to buy using rights for loads of different brands to make sure possible copyright infringement doesn't happen. Still not exactly sure how PC version gets away with this, but it works.

tl;dr: For any skin they create that isn't xbox origin, they have to pay the owners a sum of cash (or split profit with each sale) to allow them to continue using said skins.

posted a message on I was 480 place in the world for killing on easy now im like last place.
You people do realize that each difficulty only changes how much damage a mob does, right?

Creepers are still as deadly on easy, lava is still as burning, fall damage is still as painful, ores don't appear more/less depending on the difficulty.

Spiders do the same amount of damage on easy and normal. Skeletons and zombies do a half heart more damage on normal.

Also, leaderboards seem kinda pointless, seeing how easy it is to grind up and/or use dupes to get stacks of the items needed.

I wuz a PC elitest who coverted to the lure of gaming on the big screen HDTV.

I'm ready to go back. Xbox is just missing something - processing power or whatever it is...

    sigh

You do realize most Tv's that use HDMI coords, you can easily buy cables that allow you to plug it into a computer.

I would know, my father used a flatscreen for a few months as his monitor.
