I seem to be having trouble with world generation. After installing the mod, I can access the menu fine, but when I create a new world I will get a short loading bar, and then I'll be in the world for only a second before I get a screen saying "saving chunks" and it freezes. No luck getting an error report from the game yet. The data folder in the world folder that was generated is empty, if that says anything.
Will try making a new world in vanilla, and then try loading it with the mod installed. I'll edit this post with the results
EDIT: Loading the vanilla-made world works perfectly. I'll try exploring a bit to see how well the chunk generation works. Will report back if I find anything unusual.
In the mean time, I suggest that people who are having trouble with the mod try playing in a pre-made world until the problem's solved
EDIT 2: Scratch that. While I was making this post the game wonked out and it crashed. When I tried loading the save I got the same error as before
Some people were complaining that the bees weren't realistic enough.
Well,
(image goes here)
I was happy with the bees as they were, since if I'm going to be a monstrous centaur-spider woman, then there could be women with bee butts. But I must say that I like the more realistic version better!
Horrible Man - it looks as though you're using the old version of the King skin. Download the one in the post above and try again! Your skin is looking pretty good, though the placements are a bit off because it is an old version.
As for the suggestions - I'll try to see if we can fix the spider AI while it is following you to only climb things if you are above them instead of below them.
Perhaps we can do something with mob spawners as well, since in version 3 there will be more interaction with zombies, skeletons, and creepers.
. . . Uh, I did used the one in the post above. Did I get something in the formatting on the image wrong?
We are beginning to work on decorations the player can use to make their home feel more like a dungeon.
Please let us know what you would like to see!
Here's an idea: How about decorative Mob Spawners (with or without fire)? While they don't look very cool in the default game, they can look quite nice depending on which texture pack you use! You could just get decorative mob spawners by harvesting . . . well, mob spawners! In addition to looking cool, they could also give a neat fire effect (like they normally do) and perhaps give off light.
Oh, and decorative bones. You must have the bones! I do know that The Fancy Pack Mod has some bone crafts in it, so there's an option.
Also, a few things:
1. One huge issue I've noticed with our spider companions is that they'll constantly get stuck climbing walls n' stuff! This is especially infuriating when I'm trying to explore a cavern with them, and usually I just end up leaving them behind. Not exactly ideal! Perhaps, can you make it so they'll only climb up webbing that you put down? You can't climb sheer surfaces without it, so why should they?
2. Another problem I have is that the spiders is that, when using the wand, you have to either bring all of your spiders, or none. What if I'm going through a small area, and I just want to bring my thin spiders with me? And tiny spiders aren't going to be very useful in combat, so what if I want them to stay in the house without locking them in a room (Where other spiders could get in and . . . ugh!) I'd really like it if we could have at least more specific spider baits, if not the ability to individually control each one if need be (Like with the wolves, where you can right click them to circle between sitting and following you. Infact, it'd be great if you could command the spiders to sit in one spot as well)
3. A small bug that you've may have already noticed, but if you place a block of spider bait down and destroy it, you won't get the spider bait back.
Thanks for this awesome mod! I can't wait to see more!
Edit: Just for shits and giggles, I decided to try editing the new Spider King skin (mostly just to see which parts of the texture goes to which area on the model) So here you go!
How much ram do you have ? For me the broswer requires 500 mb of ram, desktop client requires 1 Gb of ram.
So yeah how much ram do you have in total ? And what OS do you happen to be running ?
Wait, seriously? I doubt my laptop even has 1 GB of ram, yet I've got the client version of Minecraft to work fine before. But, then again, I was using the older client version. I'm really befuddled right now :S
I don't exactly know how to check for how much ram my laptop has, but I'm using Windows Vista.
Also: Would mods work on the browser version of Minecraft? I sure do love my mods . . .
Ok, so something really strange is happening. When I go on the website to play Minecraft, everything works perfectly. But when I try to play in the Minecraft.exe (the new one), it lags and stutters so badly (even on the main menu) that I can't even play it! I'm not using any mods, and the only texture pack I have is the Painterly Pack. Furthermore, I tried to download the older Minecraft.exe, but the download wouldn't even start! So, if I could have any help fixing this and/or a mirror to an older Minecraft.exe, that'd be wonderful! Thanks!
I wish PIMU was still up too :/ I don't really see why people make a big fuss about it. I don't see how it'd be a huge problem to edit your MOTD, but I digress.
You can try using MCNostalgia in order to use PIMU, or try the other speed/fly hacks available.
