    If you never cross past the black edge of the world during chunk generation, then UBC does not freeze.


    If you cross past the black edge but you only go a short distance, UBC may or may not freeze.


    If you cross past the black edge and you go a longer distance, UBC freezes.

    That's UBC Ore Registrar 0.2.9.4

    But the same thing is happening for Iron, Coal etc.

    The salt was just an example.

    Sometime in the recent betas Ore Ubification has broken. A few weeks ago it was working.


    Now about half of the ores in the world are un-ubified. The other half are working correctly.


    It seems like Ubification is occurring or not-occurring depending on what chunk the ore is in.


    In some places I see the same ore right next to itself, some ubifying, some not ubifying.


    The following screenshot shows five blocks of HarvestCraft salt ore. Three of the blocks are ubified, two are un-ubified.

    Cool thanks it's working. I was looking in the wrong place.


    Maybe the comment should document it so that other people can know in the future:

    # Comma-delimited list of external biome names. No quotes or line returns. Biomes detected here will be added to the externalbiomeclimates section within this config file after you restart Minecraft. Biomes removed from this list have no effect and will be not automatically removed from the externalbiomeclimates section.

    Can you please fix this mod to place its config files in the config/ folder instead of in the mods/ folder?


    It's very strange and I actually had to remove the ruins mod because of this non standard behavior.

    Is the externalBiomeNames setting working?


    For example:

    S:externalBiomeNames=Hot Springs

    Nothing seems to work given I am expecting a config to generate?


    AntiIdConlict/biomes/AllIDs.txt shows me:

    125 is Occupied by Hot Springs (sorazodia.hotwater.worldGen.BiomeHotSpring)

    The reason you were able to avoid freezing up with UBC world generation is because of the spiral shape that you flew in.



    With only these two mods installed:

    BetterSprinting MC-1.7.10 v1.1.3
    UndergroundBiomesConstructs-1.7.10-0.8-beta49

    And using the following settings:

    B:InChunkGeneration=true
    B:newGeneration=true

    UBC freezes every time.


    In a Vanilla world, simply fly backwards at 4x speed.


    Like this:

    2016-06-04_01.17.35


    If you fly too far out, then UBC freezes.


    This freezing can also be caused randomly if you're walking around and you accidentally venture too close to the edge before world generation catches up.

    I wanted you to know that clearVarsForRecursiveGeneration=false seemed to cause it to freeze sooner.

    Yes, it happens with or without Optifine & Fastcraft, making no difference if they are enabled or not.

    Optifine & Fastcraft allow you to freeze sooner because you can travel much faster and load/render many more chunks than Vanilla would be able to.

    I agree 100% with this statement, it is surprising.

    Maybe you have a knowledge about underground cave generation that few people even know about technically?
    Maybe if you posted the source for "World Underground" onto Github/etc it might help spawn some new mods?

    Please consider making your mod for Forge, I really think it fills an important category that isn't covered anywhere. I searched for hours trying to find any mods capable of doing this. There's some people out there who would love it.

    Is there any alternative to "TheMasterCaver's World Underground" which works with Forge?


    Reika's CaveControl has almost no configuration options. And everything is still the same size. On ravines you can only change the frequency.

    With or without Fastcraft and OptiFine makes no difference. That is not related to what I am reporting on here. This freezing occurs universally with nothing else required except Biomes O' Plenty and Underground Biomes Constructs mods only.


    Fastcraft and OptiFine allow you to expose the problem faster because you don't have to wait forever for the chunks to load. You will be able to cover much more ground in a short time when you enable multi-core chunk loading and use the 5 chunk updates per frame setting in OptiFine.


    I will re-test again with clearVarsForRecursiveGeneration on the new test46.
