WOW Long time no see! I know this is meaningless by now, but I'm sooo sorry. But this time I actually have a real excuse. Check out the update log for the details.
I completely understand if you are down with the comic by now and have given up on it ever finishing, but I just want to thank you for reading and your support. It seriously means so much to me.
Love you guys, even if you have moved on!
AND YES I'M WORKING ON FIXING THIS BLOG, LIKE SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HAPPENED
So I got a job, right? Well it was stressful as crap and I never had time to draw. (I never felt like it either, I was miserable.) So I quit! Great! Okay, remember how broken my current drawing tablet is? I got a new one! A MUCH better one. Like, seriously, it’s insanely powerful and is the coolest thing I own.
However, it still took me time to get comfortable with this new set up, it was very different. So I spent a long while getting used to it. (I didn’t want to draw a page when I wasn’t comfortable, then it’d end up terrible looking!) But FINALLY I got comfortable, so I started the page. And holy crap, this page. It was a pain to finish. It has a lot of really hard poses, and it took me forever to finally get it to look half decent. Like, I was legitimately upset and exhausted at how hard it was. (And that has never happened!)
BUT I DID IT. AND IT ONLY TOOK 3 MONTHS. I’m hoping to be more consistent (ha, when has that happened.) and I really want to update the blog to be prettier. Thank you sooooo much for hanging in, if anyone still even reads.
One last time, I have been working very hard on a new silly animation based on the Super Smash Bros Fighter Ballot. I put a lot of heart and time into it, and a lot of people seem to like it. I would really love it if you checked it out!!
Thanks so much, I love you guys!
Oh! Also I’m in college now in a Computer Animation Degree! Excited!
Obligatory sorry for the late update. I have a good excuse. I re-did the last panel like 4 times.
I just came home from work and my legs hurt. Hey! I got Alien Isolation and it’s FANTASTIC. Super scary. Loads of fun. I’ve also been working SO HARD on this animation coming soon. It’s almost done, and I’m very proud of it.
Anyway, in more related news, big things are happening to the Ender Sword. Soon I’m going to redo some things and will hopefully be uploading a lot more. Hopefully.
Hey new page. Sorry for the delay. Can it really be called a delay if it's regular?
Anyway, I got a job! Wow! It's exhausting! But I'm making money apparently. I'm really excited to put the money toward tools so I can make the comic better. (Hopefully!)
Also I started playing the Tomb Raider reboot, and it's really awesome. Who knew I'd actually care about Lara Croft, and that she'd be a really awesome character that is very relatable. Huh. (Also Chrome says that relatable is spelled wrong but it's not.) Also also, I started watching the Daredevil Netflix series. And it's also really really good.
“Hey buddy don’t worry about it, I’ll kill those dudes for you.”
So I started watching Gravity Falls and that’s great. Really loving it so far. I’m replaying Super Metroid and you know… that… “Other” Metroid game… But that’s all fun most of the time. Lifes still nuts and I’m still not sure what’s going on, so woo! Later!
Life unexpectedly changed a lot really quickly. For the better! But it’s defiantly different and took me a week or so to figure things out. Life’s moving!
So Club.Nintendo users got MewTwo yesterday and he’s really fun to play! I never played him much in Melee, but I think I’ll be playing him a lot in Smash 4. (Who am I kidding, I play everyone a lot…)
So a few days ago I release a little animation called Colors which is fun and nice I guess. Watch it if you want! (I'll love you! Jk, I already do. <3) It has a deep meaning, but I won't tell you what it is!
I use Sketchbook Express, but I plan on downloading a few more programs. Can you recommend me a free drawing/graphic software for Mac, that uses a variety of brushes, layers, filters, and more.
Thanks!
For PC? Gimp is great, but I'm sure you heard that before. Inkscape is pretty good too, but that is a vector program and may be annoying to work with for a comic. I'll post more if I think of more!
Huh, this makes me wish I still had Sketchbook Pro. My free trial ran out and I can't just keep downloading every version since 2012...
As nice as digital arts programs are, remember, you hold the talent, not the program. Paper and pencil is always almost sometimes an option! And read above if you want some suggestions for a free graphics editor.
Oh, Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 came out! And I played through it and it was great, I loved it. It’s my favorite of the 3, and I think the scariest. (The games don’t scare me, but I recognize what is scary) Anyway I’m working on getting the good ending which is fun.
Anyway, here's the new page!
These are great so far, may I ask how did you type up the comic? I'm going to make a Minecraft comic (eventually) and I have no idea how the comics are typed/written using different fonts.
I use Sketchbook Pro, but use whatever you're comfortable with. The story I have written in a little notebook. I don't explain what each page is going to look like, but I have written what is going to happen and key plot points and things. When I start a page, I start with a very basic sketch. I figure out where the panels are going to be in the page, what's going to be in them, and what is going to be said. I use very basic sketches so I can easily change things to make sure that everything is perfect as page.
Once I'm happy with how it's laid out and what is said, I put in the panels and do a detailed sketch. The detailed sketch is exactly how I want the panel to look. I draw each character, each detail, and the backgrounds. I also draw the speech bubbles, but I leave them blank. (I type text into them to make sure they're the right size, but I just use it as an example.)
After that I just trace over the sketch with clean black lines. Then I color it and it's done! (I normally finish one panel at a time, a side from the sketch.)
Once this is all done I have a full color page with blank text bubbles. I throw the page into my image editor, (I use Paintshop Pro 8, but anything will do really.) and I put the text in. This image editor supports different fonts, so I just use Pixelmix Bold. (You can download it here.)
Then I upload it all over the internet! The best advice I can give you is practice, practice, practice. Good luck, and tell me when you start your comic!
You made a circle joke. I am now officially going to watch this thread like a hawk because if you make a minecraft circle joke, you have officially become awesome.
Anyway, this is a really good comic. Way better than the minecraft comics on kindle self-publishing that go like this:
1. Find a picture of Steve.
2. Find a picture of Herobrine.
3. Paste them on a document.
4. Write up some nonsense dialogue and you're ready to get rich!
(There are some amazing comics out there but this is the typical format)
Are they really that bad? Ouch. I really want to publish this comic once it's finished, so thanks for the support!

It’s funny I thought by this time I would have finished the entire comic. Weird.
Anyway, I’m tired so I’m not going to write much.
I played Undertale. Yes, it was great. I’ve been playing Skullgirls. It’s beautiful and fun. Thanks a lot of reading, it really means a lot. <3

Splatoon came out and it's amazing. Defiantly a Game of the Year for me. So I'm gonna blame that on the long delay of pages. Sorry.
BUT, a new page today! (Yay?)
Well at least his face was already ugly.
