I was afraid something like that would happen, I didn't buy the graphics card, I obtained it from and old computer I dismantled a while back.
Well thanks anyway.
Okay, I've got a new problem. I've installed a graphics card to plug an extra monitor into my computer and maybe even help with minecraft lag. It works for the most part except that Minecraft gives me the "Pixel format not accelerated" message. I was told this is because the correct drivers are not installed on the card. I've tried downloading a bunch but as far as I can tell without success. I don't remember how to get the DxDiag and I couldn't find all the other threads in which there are instructions on how to get it. I'm kind of at a loss, what's the next step? What's the next thing to try?
The Intel program says that the either the download of the installation (I'm not sure which) failed. so I'm not sure what I can do about that but I'll look on the HP website and see what I can find. My computer only has 2 GB of RAM and a friend told me I need way more so I hope to get some soon, also my computer was made in 2009, very old for a computer unfortunately.
Happy new year's eve everyone.
Here's my dxdiag: http://paste.ubuntu.com/23718607/
I'm running Windows 7, found out that a thousand other people get this same error, and updated my graphics driver (actually it said it's already up to date).
Thanks for any suggestions.
Okay so I'm jumping into this discussion in the middle and I have not read all 5 pages to please excuse and repetition.
I do not want a "twitch" account neither do I want my MC Forum account linked to one, I just want to have my normal basic standard Forum account. If I don't merge my account will it disappear because if it will I'll go somewhere else like planet minecraft.
I know what you're going to say "You don't need to use your twitch account, you just need to have it." while this is true I would rather not get a "twitch" account. I don't even know what "twitch" is!
