I deleted Bytefence because I had no idea what it was. BTW the newer versions work fine...
Something else for the stack: When I try to load 1.7.10 it says Failed to download file. 1.7.10.json. I'm thinking there might be some underlying problem somewhere deep in my computer that makes it do all this stuff. It is quite an old computer.
And I'm back with another problem (What else is new). When I try to load a world in Single-Player it sits at the world loading screen indefinitely. I could just leave it for an hour and see if it works but it's never done this before.
(I wonder how long it'll be 'til I've had every error it is possible to have in Minecraft.
Seems you have it a little worse since you can't even play 1.11.2, not good if you're an avid Minecraft player. Do any other versions work for you?
I just tried it and not even 1.11.2 works.
More problems (The only things I post on this forum are problems): Okay, this is new, when I try to play 1.8.9 it takes forever and then gives me an error which says "Failed to download file. twitch-external-platform-4.5-natives-windows-32.jar" I have no Idea what t make of this.
I feel like the champion for most Minecraft problems but anyway, here's my latest issue: I double-click on the Minecraft icon on the desktop and start the launcher but when I press "Play" I get "Minecraft launcher has stopped working"... I have no idea what to do. I posted something about a similar issue in the modded section as I thought it was part o a mode but I have been proved wrong.
I've got a bit of a problem with my launcher. I tried to play some mods and when I pressed the "Play" button the loading bar sat at the very beginning for about 10 minutes at which time I gave up and ditched the mod, this happened with about 2 out of 3 mods. In my experience, if a mod doesn't work then there no way to fix it, but this is ridiculous. Also, if I try running the launcher without an internet connection it doesn't work at all and gives me the fairly common massage that "Minecraft has stopped working" and gives me the option to either close the program of "Look for help online", and since help functions like that are the most unhelpful thing in the world I just gave up. One possible answer would be to just stay connected to the internet but I find that Minecraft clogs up my house's lame low-speed internet and slows the browsers on other computers in the house to a snail's pace. Incase you need to know I'm running Minecraft 1.7.10 and Java 8. Both my Forge and my mods are pretty old as such things go and so it could be that but I don't think so. I ran the same mods and Forge on my old computer at least until July of last year.
Okay so I'm jumping into this discussion in the middle and I have not read all 5 pages to please excuse and repetition.
I do not want a "twitch" account neither do I want my MC Forum account linked to one, I just want to have my normal basic standard Forum account. If I don't merge my account will it disappear because if it will I'll go somewhere else like planet minecraft.
I know what you're going to say "You don't need to use your twitch account, you just need to have it." while this is true I would rather not get a "twitch" account. I don't even know what "twitch" is!
