And I'm back with something else... Minecraft works fine but if I lag out of a LAN world and have to close Minecraft and restart it, before I restart I have to go to windows task manager and end the two Minecraft launcher processes then I can start Minecraft, but 30% of the time I restart it gives me the "Minecraft Launcher has stopped working" message and gives me a little button that says "More details" I clicked on it and it gave me a bunch of weird stuff, incase it's any help I'll post it here:

We can but technically that's cheating, so is using a command block for that matter.

I definitely prefer 1.8 over 1.9, 1.10, and 1.11. In some ways, I even prefer 1.6 over 1.8 (old cool terrain, cool caves). Some of the newer blocks don't really fit in with the game, and shields are definitely unfair. They make bows very useless, and absorb too much damage; if you combine that with the new potion arrows, that basically means that if you're a newb and you don't have a shield, bows will be very overpowered against you; but if you do have a shield, they do nothing. Honestly the new combat update doesn't really make players more creative with their pvp choices, and for mini games and pvp servers it kind of ruins it. I liked the old sword blocking and actually made good use out of it, it saved me in a lot of tricky situations.

I actually use 1.7.10 almost all the time! Yes, the shields are a bit weird but I don't mind the potion arrows, my only qualm about them is why would you want an arrow with a healing effect when, by definition, arrows are meant to hurt!

Basically it's like an attack interval. Most other games would require the swinging animation to finish before you can strike again. Minecraft gives you more flexibility with this since you can attack quicker for less damage but with the same knockback. I am particularly fond of it. It might not be much to be called the 'combat update' but at least winning PvP battles doesn't come down to who can click the fastest on the other person.

I don't play "most other games", in fact Minecraft is essentially the only game I play, It may be that "SuperSonicMiner" was right and that I just don't like change (that is somewhat true) but I've had to revamp my entire attack strategy and I used to be able to kill creepers with one rapid attack, now, needless to say, I can't do that.

Is there anyone else who doesn't like the weapon charge up introduced in 1.9??? It drives me crazy. Am I the only one? I heard there might be a way to turn it off, I hope they take it out in future versions.

Does this mean it has the same problem as the other graphics card I tried? I run Windows 7 and I have no intention of either upgrading of downgrading so it looks like I'll have to return my graphics card and be a little more picky in future.

    Thanks for you help!

And I'm back with a new problem, so as I predicted my graphics card made things a lot worse, I got the infamous "Pixel format not accelerated" so I then proceeded to update my NVIDIA drivers, I downloaded some but when I tried to install them it said "NVIDIA installer cannot continue, this NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows, This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." I'll post a dxdiag incase it'll help.

I'm getting a new graphics card soon so maybe that'll fix a few things, that's probably wishful-thinking, it'll most likely make things even more, complicated.

This thread is should be called "The many problems and complaints of Hoogady/Coldcat747.

It could also be my router it's new, and has a number of security blockages. I see if I can take then down and try again, I guess I should have thought of that.

    Thanks!
