So apparently Glazed Terra-Cotta is supposed to rotate to create a symmetrical pattern but it's not working... It just gives me one corner.

If you haven't already looked: http://www.minecraftmaps.com/adventure-maps

I think you can even filter your searches if you want to.

I go to that site all the time, so far I haven't found anything, also you can't always tell exactly what kind of a map it is from the pictures and description or even from the comments.

posted a message on Adventure Map Recommandations

I'm looking for a good adventure map that has a minimal amount PVE. I little bit is fine but if the whole map is just fighting then I'm not interested, I'd prefer it to be for 1.11.2 but any version is okay.

    Thanks.

posted a message on MineCon 2017? Where?

What about having two, one in Europe, lets say, and one in North America. But there are also the people in places like Asia, Australia/New Zealand and south America, any event done in any of those places couldn't be very big though because there aren't all that many Minecrafters living there, most of us live in North America and Europe, as stated earlier. Also I think Anaheim and California in general is WAY over-rated, it's also not well situated geographically or population-wise. A good geographical location for North America would be South Dakota, population-wise, Michigan would be good. I'm going in blind here and have no idea where in either of those states such a big event could be hosted. You Americans are spoiled rotten, you get everything right in your country.

So everyone wants it where they are. But I can't complain because I want it where am too, or maybe I don't since then it would be even worse if I couldn't go which would probably happen anyway since the tickets probably cost an arm and a leg and the other leg too.

I find it rather interesting that all the people who want this thread to end are those who like the combat updates.

posted a message on How do I get tools that only break one type of block?

I am contemplating building an adventure-map but as you can see from the title I am missing an important ability. Another similar question: How do I make a block (item etc) only placable on one kind of block? I'm a bit of a nube when it comes to commands. What would really be helpful would be a list (like a PDF or something) with all the basic commands in minecraft.

Admittedly that is true but I still think this thread should keep going, suppose someone with a good argument (for either side) has yet to find this.

True, but I do think this thread has served (and is serving) its purpose namely that we now know what others think about 1.9 combat. Debates like this are good and even if your views don't change in the least it's good to see what other peoples arguments are and the reasoning behind them.

I absolutely DO NOT like the 1.9 combat style. As some people have already stated, it is harder especially when fighting mobs like creepers in small spaces. I also don't see why axes should all-of-a-sudden have tons of attack damage, however slow they may be. I also don't like the absence of blocking, suppose you don't have a shield? What then? If the purpose of this update was to make combat more realistic then why take out blocking? Way back in 1.8 it was possible to run up to a creeper and kill it with three quick hits from an iron sword, now it is necessary to hi the creeper, run back, hit it again and repeat, sometimes hitting it more than three times. Or take peaceful mod as an example, imagine you're in a forest and you need some food, so you go toward the herd of pigs nearby, you hit one and wait for your sword to charge up, in the meantime the pig in question, runs under a tree with only one block of clearance between it and the ground, now you have spend ages breaking the leaves and hit the pig again provided it hasn't come out from under the tree and run off somewhere else. In an older version, say 1.7 all you would have to do is hit the pig a couple of time and there you go.

    Need I say more...

I like the new beds as well, there was even such thing as the "Dyable Beds" mod for a while. In my opinion there are many mods that would be great additions to vanilla minecraft.

Though, the game itself is unnescessary as all games are unnescessary, but unnescessary things are the spice of things wouldn't you aggree?

I mean, why add guns to DOOM when we could've just fight with a chainsaw?

Why add berries to Pac-man when we could've just eaten pelets and ghosts for points?

Why add spice to food when it's already edible?

Why go to school when we could study at home?

Why make challange when everything could've been easy and more straight forward?

That is an extremely good point.
