posted a message on Help with using HexLands and BoP together.

I can't seem to get HexLands and Biomes `O Plenty working together in 1.12.2. I've tried using the HexLands config setting that forces hex generation, but it just makes all other world options disappear so HexLands is the only choice and there are still no BoP biomes in a world. Am I missing something?

I feel like this mistake is a rite of passage for making skins. Basically everyone who has made a few skins seems to have done it at least once.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unless you can strike some insane deal, you will not get a modded Minecraft server worthy computer for under ~$250+. You may want to consider a hosting company until you can save some more money.

Wow, that's really good! The attention to detail is amazing. Did you base this off of a specific real-life Cathedral?

The L-shaped stairs make it a bit hard, are they truly necessary? Also, that part on the left where the last two blocks of the wall are indented causes it to be a bit awkward too. Maybe square up the corner of the house and have the stairs go only one direction, then you can add some doors of some sort. You could also add some pressure plates (although that could be dangerous).

When you start a new build, what is your go-to strategy for building? Do you start with the colours you want? Specific blocks? What types of thngs do you typically build and how does this affect your strategy?

i wont recomment running any kind of server on your personal pc

If you want a larger server with more people, then no, but honestly for just a little world for you and your friends it works just fine. I've been doing it for a while.

You'll need a better graphics card if you want to run Minecraft at anything more than 1080p. 1440p would probably need something more like a GTX 1660 super. 4k would be closer to an RTX 2070 or RTX 2070 super.

I would say probably an RTX 2070 or even 2070 super for the GPU and for the CPU maybe a 3000 series Ryzen 7 (Ryzen 5 could be okay too, but make sure your clock-speed is good and high, 3.5+ GHz)

I would recommend a CPU with at least a 3.0 GHz base-clock, Minecraft (including the server portion) is very single-core bound.

I'm not that familiar with SEUS shaders, but what you have sounds good. The GPU might be a little overpowered, but if it's well within your budget, the future flexibility might be nice; as well as if your monitor has a refresh-rate of more than 60 Hz.

posted a message on Can't allocate more than 1GB of RAM to server

My computer won't let my Minecraft server take more than 1GB of RAM. If I try putting the 2GB allocation command in the .bat file, and run it, the command prompt windows says something about not being able to get that much RAM. The computer I'm running the server on has 8GB of RAM, so I'm not sure why this is happening.

I'm not sure what your ability level is, but in that situation I would re-install the OS and recover my files either with another PC (by plugging the HDD from the first into it) or by installing the OS in the same HDD without disrupting the existing installation and them pulling the files once the second install is complete (I've never actually tried that last one and I'm not 100% sure it would work).
