I've been wanting something like this since forever, but nobody has made one. I'm not the greatest artist in the world, but I would do my best. it would also be 32x32, but I could edit it down to 16x16 for those who prefer it. Anyone interested?

Post the ores part of your crashing INI. obviously there's an issue with it.

It wouldn't change anything, I tried just changing 1 number, and it crashes.

You installed it wrong. It works just fine.

Maybe I didn't clarify enough, the mod does work, for the most part, but when I adjust how the jems and minerals spawn, it freezes when generating a map. Also, I just got a config from the config megathread, and it didn't crash.

I installed the mod exactly as the instructions say, I modify my map, and it stops working. The game refuses to respond when starting a new world, and it only crashes when I change how gems and minerals are spawned. Any ideas why?

Alright, here you go: And do you think you could post a screenshot of what it looks like in-game? I can't seem to get the mod to work myself.

Odd. I know the mod works - I used it with some other pack that I hated but had full support - but it doesn't work for this. Everything looks completely normal. I need to fight a bit with it.

EDIT: Do you have transparency on that png? Apparently it helps. But I should already be seeing some kind of basic bump mapping, should I not?

Yes, I have trasparency on the picture. maybe thats my problem, using the stock texture pack...

I tried it with the john something pack (don't remember the full name) and it worked! However, it didn't look that different, so I removed it. Great mod, but needs work. Also, whats rasterbation?

it would be nice if someone makes a height map for the default skin of minecraft......something simple, nothing impressive.....just to know if the shader works on our computers or not without knowing how to make a height map ourselves....

    Sry about engrish

I did that. If you want it, I could post it here.

    of course that'd rule, dude

Well, it worked, sort of: any idea why this would happen?

Yeah that's the intended of functionality of that shader. It's a debugging thing.

Well, that means the shaders work with my computer, so thats a good thing, but what I want on is ambient occlusion, but thats not working. I've made a normal map for the stock texture, but still nothing.

Putting the final touches on the solar/lunar lighting. Changing the light source from a directional light to a point light makes a pretty big difference. I'm also adding a "worldTime" uniform (mainly so I can block out the light contribution from the sun (or moon) when it's under the world).

Sounds great! Do you think you could tell me how to use different shaders, such as ambient occlusion? I can't seem to figure out how to do so.

Basically the files in the mods/shaders/contents/files/shaders folder are the actual shaders. You can change them by replacing them with the files in the "mods/shaders/alternate shaders" folder or with the shaders posted in this thread. It's not very user-friendly right now so sorry if it's confusing.

    See http://daxnitro.wikia.com/wiki/Alternat ... Shaders%29 if you haven't already.

Thanks for the help, but it didn't work. I tried doing exactly what you said to do, but nothing.

    EDIT:
Oops, I just realized I did ambient occlusion instead of normal maps.

    EDIT 2:
Well, it worked, sort of: any idea why this would happen?

Hey all, First post on the minecraft forums! Anyways, I was wondering how to activate the other shaders, such as ambient occlusion, as I can't figure it out myself.
