@JustJum I always wonder, why those golems walk away so far from the village. They are supposed to protect the villagers. Instead they wander around, having a jolly good time. That's a thing that puzzles me as much as, that villagers and pet animals seem to have suicidal tendencies. They use each and every opportunity to get hurt or killed.
I simply watched a big Let's Play by the best known German Let's Player. That's what actually got me to buy and play Minecraft. Aside from that I can't stand watching most Minecraft tutorial makers. Each of them has something, that gets heavily on my nerves
Ok, @DuhDerp This sounds much more like IT Sorry for me being a tad grumpy. Ok, what iread here so far is much like I would have imagined it. Those guys over at the subreddit really have no idea
Yepp, an option to reset the Nether would be quite great. I would for sure have an application for that too.
Backups are absolutely a routine process for me. "Never go into a Let's Play recording session without having backed up your stuff" is a core rule for me since I started. It is good not only for reversing savegame corruption, but also if you mess up during the recording, you simply get the backup world ...and it never happened
@DuhDerp This reads a bit weird for me. Sorry. I think you are trying me. No Nether portals, no Nether Fortresses and the, just introduced, Netherite should go away? This is a bit over the top
I am a Youtuber doing Let's Plays and I wonder if it is safe for me to use the current 1.16 snapshots for my Let's Play. Please read this entire post before answering, so you really understand my question fully. I have to do this, since I got not just some really useless answers in the Minecraft subreddit, just because people didn't like to read the whole thing.
Situation: I started a new world for my German Project some episodes ago and didn't go to the Nether in it. In the next recording session, I would like to go to the Nether.I would love to switch to 1.16 (snapshot) right before I enter the Nether, so I have all that ne, good stuff and showcase it to my little audience.
Problem: Some guys on fore mentioned subreddit told me, that most probably the final 1.16 update would reset the Nether dimension in worlds created prior. I don't know whaere those guys got that idea, and they couldn't tell me. As the 1.16 final release will most probably, maybe also because of Covid, will take some time, I can imagine that I would build a huge nether base, railroad etc. until then. I don't want to lose this progress IF the Nether is probably resetted with the 1.16 update. People suggested just to make a backup. Of cause I would do that at all. But the loss of weeks or months of progress would be something, I really would not like.
Questions:
Do you guys know of ANY plans by Mojang to reset the Nether dimension with the final 1.16 release? Would be nice, if some guy from Mojang could confirm or deny this.
Do you generally think, that it is a good idea or too dangerous to use those snapshots in a "productive environment"?
I hope you were able to understand my point from my dodgy English.
Hi! I'm Jürgen aka Sonny and known on YouTube as HonkH!
Since my last thread was meanwhile deleted for unknown reasons, here's another one. I hope, it lives longer I am a bi-lingual Minecraft Let's Player and I am doing 2 different Minecraft Let's Plays simultaneously. One in English:
and one in German:
Both Let's Play take place in different worlds and have a different story. So, if you understand both, English and German, it is definitely a good idea to watch both. The German LP gets daily videos, the English one every 2 days, because the viewer count doesn't justify a daily upload yet.
I'll link the 2 latest videos below, so you can see the current state of the Let's Plays and do not necessarily have to watch through hundreds of videos

For moving the cow pen, we have to decimate the number of cows. Then we do some terraforming and other stuff to extend the rest of the cow pen.

Ok, here's the ultimate update on this! I asked Mojang on Twitter

Especially spruces need space around them. Had no problems with planting walls of trees with all other tree types.
