Divinerpg edits default armor data. They just forgot to do leather, I guess.
We never "forgot" anything. We decided that leather is rarer in the game and thus, not worth nerfing lower then leather. You can find iron faster then cows in most cases when you create a world.
This isn't a beta, it's a in-development leak and shouldn't even be called an alpha... This thing has so many obvious bugs that do not need beta testers to find. Vethea isn't even done and it's being released...
mazetar i asked this as a response to your answer to me but it was last on the pagee and you probably didnt see it,so im saying it here, do watching eys drop off of enderwatchers yet,or is that going to have to be re-added?
Don't ask Mazetar questions about The_Slayer's beta. Ask the guy who wrote the code for the beta...
1. I'm also doing some more specific stuff, like biomes and mobs strategies. Would you be interested in that?
2. I'm not really sure.
I would definitely strongly recommend finding some decent coders and making your own mod. Don't waste your time on something like DivineRPG and use that awesome creativity for something that could end up way more awesome.
Hey, is there a way in the config you could tweak some of the mods, or even remove some of the mods if I don't like them? I was playing a conglomeration one through Hexxit, and found a folder that seemed to have some mob control, but it didn't seem to do anything for me.
Once I finish the 4 dimensions, I still need to do detailed generation, items, mobs, and a few more mechanics. I'll update the thread with a todo list soon.
You dont 'replace' the armor you remove the recipe and add a new one to go to your modded armor
i think im going to release another version today with the smelting recipes actually registered! A dimension config and a bunch of other requested things
Actually, you functionally remove Diamond armor and add in a weakened version of the same thing. That's called replacing... I also don't know why you are releasing such a broken "beta"... It's kinda obvious what needs work, you don't need beta testers to see missing textures and SMP crashes.
Sorry I'm late to the party. Got a ton of ideas, though.
1. Add some more machines/tech. You might be able to attract some more tech mod players if you appealed to their stuff a bit. Even allowing stuff to access buildcraft pipes.
2. WORLDGEN DUNGEONS. Again. Just making sure someone heard me.
3. DIFFERENT MECHANICS FOR ACCESSING TWILIGHT DIMENSIONS. This might be a little over the top for now, but- instead of mindlessly farming dravite mobs to get to azurite, azurite mobs to get to uvite, uvite mobs- you get the idea. Why not make it so that when you get eight blocks of (dravite, azurite, uvite, whatev) and one other item (any way you want it) and that spawn a boss WITH INTELLIGENT FREAKING COMBAT MECHANICS THAT AREN'T RETARTEDLY HARD OR JUST PLAIN RETARTED. i cannot stress that enough. So, for example, the dravite boss would drop one of two things: ONE: ten azurite blocks, plain and simple TWO: and this one might be weird: Spawns the portal where it is clicked, or is used as a substitute of the twilight clock.
4. MORE INTELLIGENT BOSSES. Seriously, give these guys some love. They run at you and punch you, or they one shot you with arrows. Make them intelligent. add different "stages". do anything you can to make the more entertaining to fight.
That's it for now. If i get anymore ideas you guys will be the first to know.
I think there are much larger problems than the early game bosses having poor AI. There is mining beyond killing mobs (the mob method is actually slower btw...) and the Vethea bosses are incredibly complex but are still somewhat grindy. The mod as a whole is a large grind, and it really needs to be taken in a different direction totally, no amount of tweaks and changes will fix something that is broken at its core.
Do you mean like my last beta post? And to your question earlier, You cant 'remove' the vanilla diamond/iron armor without editing base classes which is a no no. BUT I have some code that will remove and vanilla crafting recipe so i can replace it
Uhh the code replacing diamond armor has been in the mod since one of the first versions...

The part where BETA is a semi-stable and valid release that requires feedback from the community. Not a broken mess of a development release.

Yeah, once I release a beta version you're free to LP it.

Or just this...
Which wouldn't mess with other mods by having to replace diamonds.....

1.6.4 is a second update because villages were broken in 1.6.3.
