    I can't help with lunar observations, but just because a single crystal cluster doesn't grow doesn't mean other clusters aren't growing. For example, over time a terra crystal cluster developed on the outside of my stone house and continued to grow. I have a couple areas where I'll go to get crystals. I'll take some and leave the others to grow over time so when I come back there will always be some to collect.

    Actually, I think nodes are still in the works, so that may come. So pure nodes may make a return. Either way, just clear the chunks of flux and the taint will eventually starve itself and go away.

    That is the case in Beta4, but Azanor mentioned in the changelog there was an error that allowed taint to continue to grow even without flux. That's why people felt it was out of control and too strong. Thankfully that is fixed. I hope to see nodes return, but who knows.

    The saplings don't, but the trees do, provided they have a pure node inside. You can also use those Ethereal blooms if they're still in to help purify taint. If you want a special place to manage taint, the roof of the Nether is your best bet. Even 1.12.2 should have some way of busting a hole into it.

    In TC6 nodes aren’t a thing and we cannot make ethereal bloom so we have no way to combat taint at least for now.

    Assuming you are using TC6 there currently is no way to combat taint. In other versions you could make a flower called an ethereal bloom that you could place and it would get rid of taint.Since TC6 is in beta we'll just have to wait for it or an alternative to be added.

    Unfortunately I don't know either and have been having an extremely difficult time finding ordo crystals as well.

    Didn’t know that. Well alchemy done in the nether should be safe, but I’ll need to test if taint can spread in the nether.

    Netherwart used to be a wonderful source of Praecantatio. It no longer has any.

    Indeed, salis mundus is one of the few things that contains Praecantatio. But not very much, and it's an expensive way to get it. Possibly slightly better once you have researched and constructed a thaumatorium.

    Another thing about Thaumcraft 6 is that unless you're excruciatingly careful, ... well, actually, even IF you are excruciatingly careful, you're going to generate a lot of flux, possibly enough to limit your ability to craft things to help you produce less flux. You ... might wanna consider doing your alchemy and essentia refining in a safe spot well away from your main base, just in case of mishaps.

    I just came to the realization that salis mundus is actually really cheap. The recipe calls for 3 different crystals. It doesn't matter what kind of crystals they need to be. There is an alchemy recipe that uses quartz slivers and 2 essentia to create a crystal. So the only cost is going to be the quartz and redstone. This also gives you a good way to get rid of any leftover essentia from other alchemy projects.

    The goggles display the amount of essentia in containers such as warded jars and cauldrons. I would like if the googles displayed the ambient vis levels so I don’t need to hold my Thaumometer all the time. I’m not sure if it has changed, but Netherwart was a good source for praecantatio.

    Though there ised to be something for bottling entities in Thaumic Horizons. A whole wand focus for that very purpose and a special way to infuse creatures.

    It was very endgame and research heavy, but in theory worth it. Never actually made it that far. My worlds keep breaking beforehand ^^

    Sorry I should have been more clear. Using the principles of bottling nodes using magic reinforced glass you could build a bottle that you could right click a wisp with to capture it. I'm thinking the recipe would be something like:
    XSX
    GXG
    XGX

    S = Wooden Slab G = Glass/Glass Pane in an arcane worktable not sure what vis would be needed.
