Hating ChimneySwift is a bit dickish.. his mods aren't that OP, okay, you should play it without but it sure makes it interesting.. I mean, i played Infernal Sky II with Ultra Hardcore, i'm sure Vechs wouldnt call that cheating, he'd probably have wet dreams about it (jk), also, if you really have to be like that, you might as well add CavemanFilms for playing Nightmare Realm with Battlegear..
Did you seriously just try to put a set of mods that give you more power on the same level as a mod that makes the game harder and gives nothing in return?
They aren't even remotely comparable.
Use whatever mods make the game fun for you, but you won't win anyone over with ridiculous comparisons.

Endermen would have been much scarier if mojang hadn't been wimps and removed/replaced some sound files.
Like stare.ogg (Seriously guys put it back)

I'm certain at this point that at least 88% of Hybran's body runs on speed potions, and that if he slowed down to normal speeds, it would kill him- like taking a fish that lives at the bottom of the ocean near the surface. Their bodies are developed for massive water pressure, and his is developed for excessive G-Forces and friction.

Then it's basically an adventure map with those restrictions. The #1 restriction on adventure maps is you can't break or build things. If I can't break walls due to them being made of bedrock, they might as well be an adventure map's cobblestone.
Super Hostile maps are not adventure maps. The way a Super Hostile map works isn't how an adventure map works, and trying to make a middle ground would be weird and awkward, both to make and to play.

Minecraft maps (and minecraft in general, really) doesn't take that well to storylines. It's doable, but NPCs, Dialogue, restrictions on the player, and other things make it very... meh. I can logically break and craft anything in an adventure map, but I'm not *supposed* to. The player is shoved into the story in what is typically a very free-form game, and no matter what you do, if you want a plot, the player has to do a lot of reading.
Background story or Lore is different. You aren't told it, you find it. Spellbound Caves is a great example of this. There's Lore for the University, but it doesn't become a plot point and what happened there is pretty much up to the player to decide. It meshes well with MC too, as opposed to Plot. MC has a lot of things you can infer or speculate about it, without it telling you much of anything. (Remember my theory about Wither Skeletons? Yeah, stuff like that.)
Basically, subtle Lore works better with the kind of game minecraft is, and Vechs is good at it. I wouldn't want an adventure map with a storyline because I've never played one that I like. They're too restrictive, as if they're saying "Do these things, but not those things, if you want to see the end of the map." While CTM maps say "Get to the end however you want... if you can."

You're forgetting they apply the wither effect, and that zombies only deal half as much damage as Wither Skeletons on hard- in iron armour they're practically harmless, while a Wither Skeleton still hits you for two and a half hearts, not counting the Wither effect- and they do so much damage without providing the player valuable drops- only bones, coal, and a stone sword. You can upgrade them to an iron sword in the late game and they hit like trucks, making even players with armour afraid.
They're really not something for early game at all, except in very few numbers, because they're so dangerous. you NEED armour to fight Wither Skeletons.

yeeeah. Also coffins don't exist in minecraft despite the clue suggesting they do.
I thought I was being really smart about that first one, too. Enchanting tables are like altars, the players use them (and tame wolves, thus having mastery or "lordship" over wolves), they're made from diamonds on top of obsidian (gem on black velvet) and are found below sea level ("pearl" of the sea). The contents of the enchanting table's book are a mystery because they're not in a real language. (although technically they have been translated)

After coming back here and reading Isaac's post, I'm glad I didn't watch it, and I will avoid this situation as much as I can because it's supposed to be a private matter. I leave it to those it involves, and hope that things work out for the better.
Hopefully the map will not suffer much from whatever happened.
