Windows 10 Edition is just a cashgrab for Microsoft and a waste of money. It's literally pocket edition on a computer and it costs money. Whoever came up with the idea for Windows 10 Edition is stupid.

Feb 7, 2016Hexifixion posted a message on Player Feedback Wanted: 1.9 Combat UpdatePosted in: News
Please don't ruin the game, everything in Minecraft has a natural balance, but 1.9 is changing things too fast. It'll be hard for minigames, servers and players to adapt. The reason I play Minecraft unmodded is because I like how balanced everything is, and how some things are left imperfect.
For example, the new redstone changes, Minecraft map making used to be very hard, and map makers had to find clever ways to make maps into a story and something fun and playable. Minecraft map making used to be a challenge, and I liked that. Now, there are so many more things map makers are able to do, but the challenge aspect has been removed.
Next, PVP. The developers are changing combat too fast with dual wielding. We all knew the former PVP system was flawed and imperfect, and that is what made it fun. Strategy was different in the old system, you had to get armor, materials, etc. In the old system, the "crafting" part of Minecraft and PVP were linked, but now with dual wielding things are different, everything and everyone are balanced, regardless of materials. If I wanted more balance and dual wielding I would have gotten a mod.
In previous updates, the developers rarely modified integral parts of Minecraft, but just added more features. Now the developers are modifying and pretty much remodeling Minecraft, which is sad.

I don't like Pay2Win but I think it's necessary to a certain degree. The overwhelming majority of people who play on Minecraft servers are children. Children don't donate to support the server. They want perks and items. Servers have dev expenses, hosting expenses, builder expenses, etc. The few good samaritans who do donate probably won't be able to support those costs and allow the server to pay its expenses. That's why servers give out non-cosmetic perks, they appeal to children.
There's also a profit aspect. If servers didn't make a profit then large, fun servers like HiveMC, Hypixel, Mineplex, etc. probably wouldn't exist.

Unfortunately, most of my findings from this survey say a majority of players do in fact donate for perks.

This is to collect statistics for a project I'm working on.

I'm collecting some statistics on player server donation. It's two questions about how much you have donated and about cosmetic perks.
I'd appreciate if you could take time to fill it out: https://goo.gl/forms/ZHW20C5mMzPbsk7d2
Thanks!

At Forux we mixed in a ton of different unique features into Factions to make playing Factions more adventurous and strategic.
EcoRewards - As you earn more money, you get access to more and more special things to gain an advantage over your opponents.
Subtypes - Factions of the same blood must stick together, right? Subtypes are the type of Faction you choose to make. Choose from Pirate, Spy, Hunter, or Titan. Each has its own special benefits.
Airdrops - Air drops contain all kinds of goodies and can either be dropped directly in front of you for a cost, or you can go out and hunt the random ones that drop.
Custom Arrows - Normal arrows are boring. Not anymore! On Forux, arrows can take on all sorts of powers! Watch out for Skeletons as they can shoot them as well.
Much more! We have specifically engineered Forux for flexibility and versatility so the server is still gaining more features.
As an added bonus, if it's your first time joining you'll get free diamonds!

We have a new spawn as well as an upgraded shop!

Seems like a good idea to me. You could have the ocean floor made of just cobblestone (But with caves and stuff). The player could start out in a glass house. In order to substitute for wood, stone sticks and stone crafting tables could be added.
Just an idea. Good luck!

Just added some more documentation to the original post and EcoRewards (That is included in original post as well)

I ask that the developers don't release the update and in turn don't ruin the game, everything in Minecraft has a natural balance, but 1.9 is changing things too fast. Minecraft map making used to be a challenge, and I liked that. Now, there are so many more things map makers are able to do, but the challenge aspect has been removed.
Next, PVP. The developers are changing combat too fast with combat cooldowns. We all knew the former PVP system was flawed and imperfect, and that is what made it fun. Strategy was different in the old system, you had to get armor, materials, etc. In the old system, the "crafting" part of Minecraft and PVP were linked, but now with hit cooldowns things are different, everything and everyone are balanced, regardless of materials. If I wanted more balance and dual wielding I would have gotten a mod.

Alright I bought a GPU, a Nvidia GEForce with 1 GB DDR3. I still get lag spikes, even though it is less frequent

I use Intel HD Graphics 4600. I think it is built into my processor

Hey all,
I run Minecraft on a 12 GB Ram PC with 6 GB Ram allocated to Minecraft. Yet when I play I'll only get 20-30 frames. How do I fix this?

Owner of ForuxPVP here. He hasn't worked as a dev for me ever.
