posted a message on Potions without particles

It seems that the particles are connected to the effect, not the potion, so there is almost certainly nothing you can do to the potion to remove the particles.

The only useful thing I can find is the Minimal Particles option in the video settings, though even if that helps it would affect all effects, not just from your potion.

It's possible that something could be done with a texture pack though it's possible that that would also affect all particles.

You could also just send the first signal through a block and have the second signal control a sticky piston that pushes the block out of the signal path.

posted a message on On my friends smp, how do i get rich?

If you want diamonds you should mine as deep as possible, if you're not in the snapshots levels 1-12 (watch out for lava.)

The Fortune enchantment is great for getting more diamonds (and coal, emeralds, lapis and redstone) from each ore.

If you're branch mining (long parallel tunnels) you should have at least 3 unmined blocks between the tunnels (a tunnel every 4 blocks) in order to minimize wasted effort.

If you're not branch mining you should (at least if you're not in the snapshots), sure, if you're lucky you can find diamonds quickly in caves but slow and steady wins out in the end. Most cave don't go down far enough for diamonds and the veins you find are likely to have fewer ores (since some were overwritten by the cave.)

(Technically I believe the diamond ore is placed after the caves but it can only replace stone, not air, so the result is the same.)

Also, switch to better picks as soon as you have some extra iron/diamonds, better picks mine faster.

The Efficiency enchantment helps as well.

posted a message on Java Edition, Need help with fishing

Your fishing spot needs to be at least 2 blocks deep and 5X5 blocks in size and all source blocks in order to catch treasure.

And nothing in the air for 2 blocks upwards.

It should be bigger of course so you don't have to hit the exact middle.

If you're on a server or are using mods there may be other restrictions.

My experience is that treasure seems few and far between until you get enchantments on the fishing rod.

You should eventually catch some enchanted rods (if the fishing spot is big enough.)

posted a message on Minecart with a hopper - allow to pass filling station if hopper is full

    Hi,

Here's the basic principle for overriding a signal.

Was that what you wanted or did you want a full circuit? You seem to have the signals themselves under control.

The redstone signal in the back (marked by a hopper) controls the piston and the front one (marked by a detector rail) overrides the first one.

So if the front signal is on then the piston is retracted, no matter what the back signal does.

If the front signal is off the piston is free to follow the back signal.

posted a message on How to change game options like Bedrock?

On the Create New World screen You've got Game Mode, Difficulty, Allow Cheats and Game Rules that gives you many many options.

If you click on More World Options you get Seed, Structures, World Type, and Bonus Chest.

Glad you found the problem, hope you can restart without losing too much progress.

Otherwise there are ways to copy builds from one world to another, Structure Blocks for one and I think there's some way of creating blueprints (though they're called something else.)

Or you can just delete all chunks except the ones with builds you want to keep and the rest would regenerate with the new settings.

posted a message on Why aren't these villagers scared?

It might not seem reasonable but that's the way it works, villagers are only scared when a zombie is within 8 blocks distance (which is a bit more than 5.5 blocks diagonally.)

posted a message on Minecart with Hopper stops always on the corners and switch the circles

Here are 2 variants, the right one with several minecarts doesn't actually have loops since the minecarts go back and forth but they would go under all the magma blocks.

And it is definitely the minecarts bumping into each other when 2 carts on adjacent tracks go through a corner at the same time, I didn't see any permanently switching track but they did change direction or stop.

Interestingly, if you watch them for a while you can see them switch track at the corners for just half a second even if there's only one cart.

posted a message on Unable to locate any village feature

Have you found any without the command?

So you know whether it's the command that doesn't work or if world generation is loused up somehow?

This sounds like the kind of command that might be disabled on servers (though then I'd expect it to not let you use it at all).

When you say "my server" do you mean that you are the owner and administrator?

If so I'd suggest looking into the settings and making sure you are in administrator mode (or whatever it might be called).

I don't know what rlcraft is, server hosting or mod/plugin? Either way it might have some default settings that keep players from using /locate

    --

If you use /locate on a singleplayer world with the same seed you could go to the same coordinates in the server world, either for debugging or to bypass the lack of a functioning /locate command.

If it isn't your server that would be cheating and whether or not it is your server some servers have ways of hiding/replacing the seed and/or changing world generation to keep players from cheating, as admin I'd think you ought to be able to bypass that though.

There may be some forum for rlcraft where you could ask about settings and stuff.

Maybe try planning your builds to make them less random?

And look at videos and screenshots of stuff others have built and try to build like them, not straight up copying, just try to learn basic techniques of making your builds look better.

(Not fantastic palaces and stuff, start with simple builds that look better than yours and work your way up as far as you feel comfortable.)
