So you want to deactivate it to change stuff on a new one? The avatar and signature can be changed, and I believe you can get your name changed somehow.

I just want to start a fresh account. This one seems rotten to me.

    Hey guys,

I want to delete my Minecraft Forum account, and move to a new one. I just want to do better on my name, avatar, and signature. My current ones are getting bland.

Is there any way to deactivate a Minecraft Forum account?

    Hey guys,

I won't have any 1001 Quest reviews in a while. My next game, Eamon, has 254 adventures to play, and I want to get them all finished in as little time as possible. Here's how I'm going to do it.

Every day, I'll play as much adventures as I can in a 5-hour period. I'll put a text file up for download, which doesn't show the exact dialogue, but will show the commands I used, in order. I'll also put up the download link for the adventures I played.

I'm sorry if I disappointed anyone. I'll start tomorrow.

Space games AGAIN? NASA and Atari must've been up to something; maybe an arcade-style Apollo tribute. And after the arcade cabinets become big hits, they would port them to the 2600, where they would probably become lamer. Defender was one of these games.

Defender, with over 55,000 units sold, became Williams Electronics' best selling arcade game, pretty much by a landslide. I mean, I haven't heard of any other of their video games. Probably because they aren't very original with any other games.

In Defender, you have to protect astronauts (that look like they're in the ground) from being abducted by aliens. Of course, you have to shoot these aliens; you didn't bring a sign of truce with you. They don't even speak your language, so telling them what the truce sign is won't help either of you.

Let's talk about the graphics. They closely resemble Space Invaders, but Space Invaders didn't have jagged land like Defender. Another thing Space Invaders didn't have, was something to rescue/defend. Instead, you challenged the aliens to an extreme strong challenge. Because they like strong challenges.

Let's talk about the aliens. There are different kinds of aliens: there's the lander, the mutant, the baiter, and the swarmer. Things that are also worth points, but I'm not sure are aliens yet, are the bomber and the pod.
I don't want to go over their scores.

Now, let's talk about the player and the astronauts. The player's space shuttle looks like an awesome jet plane waiting for some action. The astronauts, on the other hand... those didn't look like astronauts. Those looked like inanimate objects being abducted by aliens... maybe some keys to the ultimate refrigerator.

Something really awesome about Defender was the rainbow text. It was probably the first game to have that, along with the rainbow missile trails. Even the hall of fame was in rainbow. Speaking of hall of fame, it was one of the earliest games to have this feature, so challengers know who to kill in a game of "see who can get the highest score".

And if it's a challenge between two presidents, this will happen when one loses:

Well, that's all for today. Sorry this was posted so late; I was deeply distracted by other things on the Internet. And besides, I was out of jokes.

    Information
    Year: 1983
    Platform: Atari 2600
    Genre: Combat simulation
    Developer: Atari
    Publisher: Atari
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First off, I'd like to say that I played the Atari 2600 version of this game, not the arcade version. The reason for this is the same as for Asteroids.

The Atari games just keep on comin'. They range from family games like Breakout and Basic Math, to intense war games like Combat and Battle Zone. Speaking of Battle Zone, I'm going to review it today.

Battle Zone is even more intense than Combat. It's got awesome graphics for it's time, weird enemies, and a neat radar that tells you where enemies are. First, let's talk about the enemies.

Your main enemies are other tanks. They're blue (and sometimes yellow), and they don't do much when they're far away from you, so they're pretty easy to destroy. But they're the fighters and saucers that are really hard-to-get. They also look funny; the fighters remind me of someone from Star Wars, and the saucers look like one of those levitating capes that magicians have when they take their cold gear off.

Now let's talk about your tank. It doesn't have very good rapid fire, if any at all. It also doesn't have very good aim, especially with the saucers. But at least it looks good.

Next, we're gonna talk about the radar. It appears on the top of the screen, and it tells you that enemy tanks are nearby. The way I find this a good thing is that I can find out which direction I got hit from. On the bad side, it doesn't tell you what type of enemy is heading for you. But I guess that's just part of the fun.

Now, let's talk about scoring. You get 1k points for hitting a tank, 2k points for a fighter, 3k for a supertank, and 5k for a saucer. Especially if you're point crazy, you want to get as much points as you can. I got about a 42k score as my high. Someone got 23,000,000 points on the arcade version. He played for almost a day before quitting. Talk about extreme gaming.

There are a whole lot of ports and clones of this game. I mean, LOTS. There's DOS, Apple II, Commodore 64, Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Atari XEGS, Atari ST, Atari 2600, Game Boy, Atari 5200, Atari Lynx... it goes on and on and on.

There was a HUGE difference between the Arcade version and the 2600 version. Look at this comparison, that I put as a nice way to end the review:

Cannibalism is actually popular in a zombie apocalypse, but since I'm not a zombie, I'm keeping you.
