Okay, before anyone says "buy the full version", I already own it and play it often.
I would like to see a thing or two changed about this version. I sometimes play classic just for nostalgia, but realize some things aren't possible, such as TNT. These things CAN be added, for Survival Test came before this. I think the addition of TNT, a few mobs like sheep, and arrows wouldn't be a hard thing to add. Heck, I would be happy if he put survival test on the site aswell.
My main point: This needs some elements from Survival Test. No, I'm not talking about adding every single thing from the full release, just some simple things like TNT and Arrows which were already in the game.
That would be awesome. Especially for multiplayer servers.
Currently, if you replace the minecraft classic jar with survival test and connect to a server, the game acts as if it was survival test. Mobs spawn and you can kill them. Resources work, and the game pretty much acts as survival test. The only downside is if you kill another player, they will die and never respawn, however this is only client side, so the person you killed is actually still alive.
Hey, everyone. I'd like to begin modding Minecraft Classic to add more blocks and other things to my liking and basically revamping the whole thing. I know a bit of java. However, my problem is de/recompiling classic. MCP doesn't support this (I can get to the point of decompiling it, editing some code, but then I don't get anywhere else.) Is there some way I can de/recompile the classic?
I've searched a bit, and most answers are "decompile, fix errors, then recompile." What I'm stuck on is the "fix errors" part, which I don't exactly know what to do here. Just recompiling results in errors.
Also, don't tell me it isn't possible, because I'm sure it is.
(Assuming the effects in the potions leak mod are the actual effects)
There are disadvantages to making some potions, such as going hungry or instant damage. Well, if that's the case, you may not want to use it. You could also craft a potion that ONLY does bad things. You should be able to use potions on other mobs or people in multiplayer.
Good potions can do:
-Be a "medic" at night during a zombie battle
-if a friend is low on health, you can heal them
-Heal wolves
-Make wolves go faster
-Make cows, chickens, etc go faster
Bad potions can do:
-Kill mobs for their items
-Kill friends on multiplayer when they don't expect it
-Kill annoying mobs
-Make zombies/other enemies go slower
My idea: 4 Ender Pearls (in the small crafting box) = 1 block of crying obsidian.
It's as strong as obsidian, but when punched or damaged, it puts off a bit of blue light (like redstone).
It is also easier to mine, 7 seconds instead of 15.
-Need a bigger picture.
-Can't mine bedrock (I'm assuming, unless you made it so you can mine it)
-Why does this require AudioMod? Why does smelting rock into bedrock require audio?
-What's with the weird poll? There's already a portal gun mod.
-Read the title format sticky.

There's a few simple rules:
No mods are allowed, you'll be banned!
IP: 24.60.205.73
-HellFire23452 (I'm KuchiBoy on the server!)

The recompile.bat file looks for a javac file in the tools folder which doesn't come with the program. Using normal javac yields errors.

A battleaxe is a battleaxe, I wanted to make my own.

I realize that this mod is ONLY iron battleaxes, no diamond, gold, etc.
I am currently working on a version which has more.
