So it is Kurauri pendant? It should probably be a bug then, i've played with ChC before this pack and i don't remember healing mobs with it

The numbers are indeed zeros but i clearly see through WAILA he's getting from 291 to 300 HP in a matter of a second

ignitediris, while it may sound brutal on paper, Void Monster is actually fine, circlestrafing makes him absolutely harmless and he's a very convenient way to get Nether Stars without torturing yourself with wither skeletons grind, although i recommend blacklisting him from all dimensions except Nether and Overworld

Edit: Unless it has to do with the fact that it's Nether because i clearly remember that Pendants DO act like crystals do in the Nether and reverse their effect.

Did you guys encounter this mad enemy regen in the Nether only? I've only tried it there

Edit2: Also metnavman is right on TG, for whatever reason, poor thing is utterly confused by Chainsaw and doesn't blinks away or puts it's shield up, made a mincemeat out of him in a few seconds.

So, Fabricator needs Fabricator to be made.

Also did anyone else experienced their quests progression being wiped after update?

Actually, peaceful surface can endup in total peaceful mode!

I haven't experienced anything like that, going anywhere at night has hordes of zombies\skellies\bandits hounding me all over the place with guns and arms, anywhere.

Only around my base it's safe, something that without PS could be achieved by, again, Elemental Lamp or even just "good" ol' ugly fence all over the place.

You can always visit your nearest RL Dungeon for all kinds of suffering anyway, they're pretty frequent.

Hey, the updates are back! This might be a good time to chime in with some stuff I've been working on. On and off, I've been working a list of tweaks I wanted to suggest for the pack, but it seemed kind of pointless to submit 'em if the pack wasn't being maintained. I'm just gonna plunk the document here, as I'm not sure what the best avenue would be for suggesting all this crap. Keep in mind that I've already tested most of the config changes, written most of the scripts, etc. in the document.

IDK who exactly is overseeing the pack now - the recent changes post seemed to imply it's Gwydion? - but I figured it'd help to put this in a public place where people could comment. I can stick this on the Github tracker instead if people would prefer, but it seems a bit large for a single issue.

Some good ideas, some bad, but i absolutely want to speak for Peaceful Surface.

I wasn't even familiar with this mod before Rev3 and now i will absolutely add it to every my pack, it's just great. The way it makes mobs spawn in dark unlit caves and dense forests and then pour out and march towards you from far away is so much better then retarded vanilla's "randomly materialize and dematerialize right under your nose" that i'm never going back. Your argument that spawning can be trivialized via Silver Iodide doesn't really stands since you can disable any kind of mob spawning absolutely anywhere in a gigantic radius via Elemental Lamp anyway, and the hardest fit it requires to unlock is surviving entrance into the Nether long enough to find your way unto the top layer, so as early as TC Harness or any Jetpack. Not to mention that i don't see how weather changes anything about caves anyway.

Also, you'll have to suffer clearing endless packs of Techguns zombie miners every goddamn morning since they all have helmets. I also believe ESM will be horribly limiting in any kind of aesthetic building, and forcing players to live in functional obsidian cubes or something similar until around endgame would be absolutely disgusting. Rev3 already has Enviromine which adds absolutely nothing good, immersive, challenging or interesting to the game and basically just limits aesthetic building and destroys worldgen buildings.

The only hindrance i see from Peaceful Surface is that due limited spawn in non-densely forested biomes i haven't seen any mutant mobs ever

As for ChC "guns", i'd outright remove them altogether. IE, MO and Techguns adds so many really awesome long-range weapons that it's almost one of the major features of Rev3, while ChC "guns", with all due respect for the mod, are not only cheap, obscenely powerful, but also hideous in how they look and function, and make TG and some part of MO and IE obsolete.

Am i understanding correctly that i can't obtain Dilithium without cheating in current version? I haven't moved that far yet but that sounds awful.

Yorkston, haven't moved up there yet but see http://revolutionpack.info/article/rev2-gameplay-changes/

    BuildCraft[/header]
    • Fuel is made in the Immersive Engineering refinery, and requires Kerosene + Oil.
    PneumaticCraft[/header]
    • Pneumatic Dynamo operates at 5% efficiency (very poor source of RF)
    • Making Compressed Iron with TNT loses 100% of all ingots.
    • Initial Compressed Iron can be made in the Ender IO Alloy Smelter.

Small question: i see Ender Hives can be obtained by transmuting via Botania, but how do i get the hive block? I've tried a bunch of ways in creative and nothing i can come up with (piston\silktouch\dollies\exu shears\whatever else) seems to work.

Also should note that Mana Pylons need Glowstone stability, otherwise you can't assemble mana enchanter, they simply fall through the flowers. Would probably be a good idea to make Garden Stuff chains to hold blocks too, otherwise what's the point

I've posted this question already but promptly scooped it out of the post as it seemed the "problem" resolved itself, yet here it is again, so.

After jumping dimensions here and there my Pylons tend to shy from persistently chunkloading themselves, whether it's intentionally or my error somewhere, it's a bit tiring to fly kilometers back and forth to remind them of their existense, my poor lumen trees stand dry and nude and sad. Will it be acceptable to place some other mods chunkloaders besides Pylons to avoid needless busywork? Will they react to it even?

It is known that this happens with the "View Bobbing" option on. Why it happens when the option is on, isn't known.

I see, thanks. Does the monument regen in broken, reparable state upon revisit? I'd maybe repair another some time after.

On a side note, are Location Warp and fabricationx2 working as of 15v? Doesn't seem to work for me.

Builderb0y, well, i was always hesitant towards playing with mystcraft, heard enough about it's instability (as in mods instability), but i guess the time has come.

Meanwhile, was that seizure during Locus creation intentional or was it another unfortunate misbehaviour of my instance, i wonder. I managed to catch a glimpse of that spectacle for a few seconds, the rest was camera spazzing out like mad at the sky. It was probably so beatiful ):

It's seems it's friendly until you hit it, which you will inevitably do as soon as you'll try to mine or do any other LMB activity near them, since they do everything they can to block your sight and bumble around where you aim. I just got kicked second time because i need to whack witchery broom to retrieve it and that is my only option for flying, unfortunately.

I feel like good old caving is a better option then, at least it's some activities with monsters involved instead of holding W for half an hour, then some more while those things burn your retina off with bright particles.

The Purification gem charges on the air just drop it. Turbocharging repeaters is only possible after finding all 16 dimensional cores and repair the monument. than you can just craft them.

Ah i see, extremely useful tips, thanks. I did repair the monument and retrieved the Locus, i just didn't noticed the recipe for turbocharged repeaters, only the note about them.

How far are the farlands? Pretty sure 10 km isn't far enough, so uh, pretty far i guess.

Nvm found it, and subsequently got kicked out by raging sparkle. It's pretty though

Which biome is rich in purification dust though? I doubt any have actual caving systems, but just in case

W-wait, am i understanding Mineral Extractor right? I place it and whack it with manipulator and it unearthes whatever it feels like? I hoped it will be my help towards getting all those 9999 purification dusts i need but as i see around 80 Rock Flowers versus 40 000 copper ores, i feel like killing myself is a better option.

Also, how do i charge purification gem and turbocharge repeaters?

Fallen_Snipez, i do now but back then i almost despared trying to find jungle and gave up.

I'm really growing to dislike biome\generation mods more and more as i play with them, they're really detriment more often then not, especially considering how fast the novelty of them wears off.

It requires a nether star core to craft, that's ridiculously pricey to build

One thing i could try to recommend is adding Reika's Void Monster. You'll have to tweak a bit around the dimension blacklist in case you have any with open view to the void (Abyssalcraft, Advent of Ascension, and so on). Void monster is pretty easy to find above Nether's rooftop and he always drops Nether Star, among other things. Much more reliable then killing yourself dead with mindnumbing wither skellingtons grind.

Could there be a lategame power to enable teleportation between pylons of the same color? Maybe you could make a multiblock pylon in your base that acts as a multichromic pylon teleporter.

There IS such lategame device, it mm, "teleports pylons to you"? Just like in good old Soviet Russia. But really, it's the lumen tree that you've talked about, the one that needs a Recharge progpoint to be unlocked, you're basically a few steps away. Later still you'll even get an ability to get passively fed lumens from it.

I do agree on illogical placement of devices between research tiers, sounds and music though.

I hate music in minecraft in any way shape and form and can only accept ambient sounds, so having to turn master volume off everytime i want to visit chroma dimension is very inconvenient. Not to mention regular freezes between songs

I almost forgot to voice my disappointment with Casting Delegate though. What a horrible device, and 4(!) chroma stones for it? I almost killed myself microcrafting everything in hopes of no more microcrafting, and here it is, with entire six billions of glows, lamps, bricks, pendants, and other garbage inbetween what actually matters. It really needs aither search function or to move those things into the farthest corner of the list. I find myself doing everything manually because it's faster than click your arms off up to elbows trying to find the recipe you need.

Not all the bedrock at Y1 is complete ;)

Ah. I noticed it's distribution is just like overworlds at glance, and my excavation star isn't working on stone, so i had to refrain from checking further. Thank you!
