Which probably means that whatever you did wasn't recognized by the plugin. Maybe try re-installing it or see if their is a new version.

He deleted the language.conf file....... or it is messed up.
Basically delete language.conf and just reload/restart the server.
If it still doesn't work update the plugin. Buycraft works fine for me.
Are you using the default port 25565, and is it set correctly in server.properties? Is 25565 opened TCP in your port-forwarding? This should be all you need.
Assuming you're using 25565 as your port. If not, just make sure you have the correct port open and set in server.properties.
Because of the pre-1.8 release and the spreading stampede to play it, the Minecraft login servers are going to be a bit strained for the next few days. If you think it's bad now, wait until the full release comes out.

If there is an update it will tell you and it will update it automatically, but you could check manual for updates, like Headsuphunter said, Start MC Server Soft> About> Check for updates

I really like this sever software but there is one thing that would be great.
