Minecraft updates are coming out so fast, mod developers are unable to keep up with the pace.
We're just now starting to see mods being updated for 1.2.4, and now 1.2.5 is right around the corner.
It wouldn't be so bad if the MC updates didn't break all the existing mods.
How about Mojang takes a little more time and doesn't update again until that mod API is ready?

I know you mentioned removing the blaze rod recipe due to an exploit, but I thought you had mentioned it could be re-enabled in the config. Unfortunately, it appears that the config setting only governs the one way transformation of blaze rods to diamonds. Is that correct? I'm just using this for single player and honestly, if I knew how I would just set up a custom recipe for 5 blaze powder = 1 blaze rod and that ought to be fine.
Also, I don't understand how to transmute IC2 Uranium with this. In what form must the Uranium be to work for transmutes? I tried the raw ore, it doesn't seem to work. I've got a bunch of the stuff and don't intend to explore nuclear power since I have a solid RF network that does just fine.

First of all, if you're going to attempt to condescend, get your spelling STRAIGHT. Don't attempt to take an intellectually superior position unless your own stance is airtight. We all fat-finger an adjacent key or transpose a pair of letters from time to time, but you can't even use the proper word.
More importantly, I'm not the one who "doesn't think things through". I'm not the one that's too lazy/stupid to watch a video or use one of the MANY recipe add-ons that allow me to view the current recipe requirements, even if they change from version to version.
In your arrogance, you may have overlooked the fact that cpw picked up this mod when the previous developer left it behind. He doesn't owe you anything. And I don't particularly care if you're a developer, because we haven't seen any evidence of that here in the Minecraft Community. Put up or shut up, as they say.
And I really can't believe that a so-called "developer" would whine about the buffering time of a YouTube video. Maybe you need a better computer, then.
