Don't do that. It will mess up the world generation.

Instead, upload your level.dat file to somewhere like http://www.filesmelt.com and then let us have a look.

i replaced allready the level.dat file with an other worlds one

I played Minecraft yesterday normaly
but when i wanted to play today my second world just disappeard
But it is in my appdata (im vista) and an editor cant read it too
i can just create a new world over it:

but i have the world:

any help??

edit:
i found in the two worlds the file level.dat but in my first world there are strange symbols but in my second its empty is that the reason and how to fix it
