This is pretty damn awesome. My only concern is that there doesn't seem to be a way to do more complex designs for circuits since you can only look downward and from one side (to my knowledge). If you make it so that you can toggle a more minecraft-style movement, this would be perfect :D

That's because the textures are missing :tongue.gif:

I have not updated this pack since the official texture pack support first came out. I have just updated the first post with a disclaimer. If you want a similar pack that is updated, try Vattic's.

This guy has had (looks like he deleted his post) a couple of good textures too. Specifically the birch tree, new leaves, and cake blocks. I prefer his lapis block too, but they are both good :smile.gif:

And for the record (since I noticed you credited me in your other thread), it's harrydg, not bg :Pig:
    Thanks though!

Yes, I did notice that. But in Beta, it's way worse :sad.gif:

Also, in Alpha, it doesn't seem to be the exact same problem (where the chunk is simply mirrored)

I'm just posting this here to hopefully get some more people to come to the same thread on getsatisfaction so Notch notices this problem. Here's the thread if you're too lazy to click the link :Sheep::

I wanted to see if the terrain generation algorithm changed a lot to see if I should create a new world in SMP, so I backed up my world and deleted everything but the level.dat. I walked around a bit and noticed that the transition for sandy areas was a little strange. Here are some before and after shots of my world:

This is (part of) the world from Alpha SMP:

This is what I got when I regenerated a world with the same seed in Beta SMP:

You can clearly see that the sand is all screwed up. I believe some chunks are mirrored over an axis like this:

It only seems to affect the transitional chunks though.

posted a message on terrain.png Template?
Yes, it will mess it up. It overlays the colors from the gradient over the grass/leaves textures, so if you make the grass red for example, you'll end up with a gross brownish green color.

The texture in the very top left corner is grass (the one next to the reeds is clay), the one that looks like glass tinted blue is ice, and I assume the last one you're talking about is the cactus cross-section. Assuming it's the one next to the rest of the cactus, that is :tongue.gif:

Those "three stone textures" you see are probably Grass, Leaves, and 'fast mode' Leaves. They are gray because the biome color gradients are what determines their color. It has been this way since biomes were added :smile.gif:

The blue square in the top right is a placeholder for the portal animation, like the 'FIRE TEX" is for fire.

I have another PC with an unupdated Minecraft. How could I keep it from updating?

Backup the bin folder inside of .minecraft, then update minecraft. After it finishes, close minecraft and overwrite all of the old files EXCEPT the file called "version". That file is what tells the launcher what version you have, and updating it alone will trick the launcher into not updating the other files.

I still have no problems patching the latest update. (32x32 texture pack with no custom water or lava)

This patch works perfectly fine for me with version 1.2.4_01. What kind of bugs are you getting?

Those are pretty awesome, DarkTwister! I've been really busy recently, but I'll try to test them all out and include them in the pack when I get the time!

posted a message on Minemapper - dynamic mapping for Windows
Whoops, yeah the biome thing was actually my bad. I was running Minemapper through a batch file that changed my %APPDATA% folder to the current directory so I could keep the log there without going to %APPDATA% every time, and that makes MBE not work :Pig:

    Everything works now, though :biggrin.gif:
