1. There is tons of them, as far as i know there is only handfull of them that charge access to play on them, and i belive it can be considered a rip-off to a certain extent. Usualy people advertize their servers here in their threads provided with informations about what general expirience you are about to expect, and ofcourse you will just have to read, if it specificly states that they charge to play, than those are the ones you have to pay to play. You will notice that there is insignificant number of them. Some of them do sell perks in-game in form of additional equipment, or rely on donations, but i find those to be quite non-apealing to me.
2. Once you arange agreement to join someones server they usualy provide you with adress that you use to connect to them in form of 4-number, with optional port, eg 192.168.0.1<:5555> or with domain name eg. play-me.host.com<:5555>. Once you start your client on computer, click on multiplayer button, and then on Add Server button, fill in name as you please (its just for you to know what server are you loging in) and fill in the adress. Once you completed that you can double-click on server in list to connect to. Notice that some of the servers require you to be whitelisted in order to connect, which is one of the things you negotiate with server owners in their threads.
3. Most of those are general theme to be expected on the server, PvP oriented servers focus on PvP, etc. that doesnt mean you are not allowed (exept in very strict modded servers) to to other things, given that server owners are allowing some freedom of choice there, meaning i have seen servers that are strictly PvP, and you cant break any blocks nor place them, and they revolve around heavily modded add-ons.
4. You get those informations from server owners and/or admins of the specific server, and i belive you can put that question in their respective threads where they advertize their servers.
My age is 41 , so i am quite young, hopefully all the oldies on your server will not mind too much having such a young rebelious spirit amongst them, thou i do kindof find their punk attitude appealing (you know driving wheelchairs throu the halls yelling "there's no future")

Whats your favorite thing to do in minecraft?[/b] Example. Breeding Chickens / Adventuring / etc

Thanks i appriciate it, but i don't think it will be neccessery, i preffer not to brag too much about my skills. but if you insist i could pack up some screenshots and send it to you over e-mail, as long as you sign a contract that is obligatory to silence about what you saw.
I actualy have no idea how to fix that issue, but i may give you sudgestion how to do a workaround, find a plugin like worldguard or simmilar (maybe NoCheat+ can handle it) and define regions where you can set flags what can or cant work in them, Given that plugin can assign flags for usage of pearls for defined region, it should prevent tp-ing in that region with pearls. I personaly dont know what plugins provide that feature, but thats my best shot what you could do.
From what i see in that log, you seem to conflicting mods, or incompatible mods issue with Equivalent Exchange 3 being the prime suspect that is causing the issue.
Now, instead of getting MS software, let me bring in the money it would take to bring in full time server managers, database engineers, and programmers for the database. You have no base to put your argument down, your argument has already crumbled.
Now, guys, you can not bring in serious MS software business server crap into a freaking MINECRAFT server, the servers you guys are talking about is way different than this minecraft server, it does not matter what freaking OS you use. While we are arguing about how pointless windows is or isn't why not bring in freaking Fedora? People, stop freaking arguing about something that does not matter at all, this is a Minecraft server, not a million dollar server business.
Short and simple - It... Does... Not... Matter... It is a MINECRAFT SERVER. Not a multi-millionaire business.
Nothing , you keep forcing windows for servers, althou you did say it is more resource houngry, so common sence is on side of Linux/Unix solutions. Now to add to that these a bit more of sauce: set-up 2 same hardware, one set-up windows server, other linux server, run both with MC Server. measure time from scratch to complete solution, then measure how good it hosts MC server... until then there is nothing you can say that will make me accept windows as even a server platform, asides maybe for grannies drinking tea on the porch.
How does using Windows lock a business? What freedom does Linux give you that you can't get with Windows under normal every day use? An admin shouldn't be messing around with the innards of the OS regardless of Windows or Linux. The majority of our problems have actually been with the 3rd party software, not Windows itself, which we have service contracts with and they resolve the problems that we would not have been able to anyway, within the hour.
Microsoft is indeed a business, but what makes them SO much worse than RHEL and them selling their service? The fact that they are Linux? Please, don't be so shallow. I am still waiting for even a single good argument against windows.
I do admit Windows has a higher demand on a system vs Linux. This is because Windows is designed to support basically everything out of the box. If you have a tailored OS for a specific task, naturally it will work better. Windows can be configured to be very damn reliable if you put in the time, just like Linux.
And to put on record, I do use Linux at work. A debian based system along side several Raspberry Pi's. And it way my decision to use Linux despite Windows being able to do what I needed. So I am not against Linux at all. I am just tired of the baseless hate towards Microsoft and Windows for no justifiable reason. If you don't like it, fine, but quit bashing it like its the damn anti-christ when its not.

Its a company that is selling you internet access, there was a case in this forum section when a fella had the problem with blocked ports, turned out ISP was blocking them to prevent "Hacking" , or whatever they ment by it, and if you pay for buinsiss package you get them unblocked. I am wondering if there is someone there sitting and thinking " of this one is having too much traffic than usual, lets cut that out, we cant afford to have people have that for free".
Anyways it is possible, but not always the case. I am thinking more of idea that something has changed on your network or on your computer.
Might be possible that you need to turn off your router for a bit, just in case of too much heat causing it to jam. Might also be the case that your external or public IP has changed ....
And might be the case that Your ISP decided that you have too much traffic and wants you to stop it.

You cant use -Xmx2G on that machine, it reports 32-bit operating system and JAVA, lower it to 1G

I belive i made my point with this reply already:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/server-support/2471034-can-i-host-a-professional-lag-free-server-on-this?comment=15
But hey i am not opposing different ideas, i did have backed up mine with actual tests, and practical implementation.

Well then step into conversation yourself and give us valid points of view.

I second that idea of Fedora

I dare you to switch to windows then ...

I'd say lets use operating system for what they are best at:
OS X - for graphical design
Linux/Unix - for servers
Windows - For Solitaire
