it's a type of sea cucumber. but one of the lower classifications or a combination of that and a tube worm. (tube worms can emit a bio luminescent glow under the right circumstances)
edit: when linking wiki's it's best to check if they are even related to the subject... nothing on the sea pickle wiki is even close.

I know these are snapshots, but I really like Survival, and since the game is malfunctioning in different modes, being able to actually play in survival (where i can trade and get the magic stuff I need to progress) would be nice.
snapshots are not meant for normal play. they are meant for testing of new, partially implemented changes. if you want a normal play experience, wait for the release. -

The only thing I would change, is making the sea floor of sand and sandstone, like in Mariculture. More realistic. Just dirt and gravel makes it look ugly. :/
most of the ocean irl has a gravelly/rocky grey floor... it's only pretty and sandy in shallows. so really, minecraft ocean floors are realistic. -

I have a filter preset that does the same thing in Gimp. The right thing to do would have been to emulate R3D if unifying the textures was the goal. This is garbage. That diamond block is horrible and doesn't tile well at all. I've seen default edits by kids on this forum that look 100% better than these.

Apr 10, 2017Grugsy posted a message on Minecraft Marketplace and CurrencyPosted in: NewsQuote from TheMinecraftNerd1»
Seriously? Content creators already make money off their advertisements and URL shorteners, which means that this is pointless and is merely a tool for greedy content creators to get more money. I would not be surprised if all of these resources get uploaded somewhere or someone designs a Cydia tweak which makes everything free or gives you infinite Coins to purchase everything for free once this goes live.
two things here. One, we get a penny for every $100 of ad revenue the link shortener makes off of our links. two, content creators aren't responsible for this marketplace, the company taking 30% off the top for hosting our content is. Some of us have literally spent hundreds of hours over the course of several years keeping up with updates and demand from users for pennies per hour of work put in. Seriously... I spent over two years and garnered over a million downloads for my last texture pack and made about $20. I think this marketplace is garbage, just like the failed paid mods that came before. Giving us content creators heat for being greedy when we basically work for free, and now have to face another company trying to make money off of our work that we barely get rewarded for to begin with, is pretty asinine to be honest. -

I like the parrots... but was hoping for something along the lines of the coral reef mod being added since it's adds a ton of color to the world. (still holding out for it)

Nov 4, 2011Grugsy posted a message on A New Way of Learning With MinecraftThis just restored some of my faith in the American educational system. I have used Minecraft to help teach my nieces about quite a bit, so I understand the sheer magnitude of possibilities for a learning environment. (the 5yr old told me yesterday as I was testing a new texture "It needs a little noise, and some darker shading"...wtf? lol) I am behind this project 100%, and I hope that people worldwide open their minds and let their children benefit from this brilliant project.Posted in: News

put together some of my custom mod textures I use with this pack if anyone wants them. it includes textures for mo glowstone, mossy planks, more furnaces, and roads (with alts for ctm).noticed I included some textures that I didn't mean to. will reup soon with some that were unfinished as well as a few more mods textures.
0
well...I linked you to the very first post on the resource pack discussion forum which is a ridiculously detailed and easy to follow guide. and I can say as someone who went from having 0 texturing knowledge to having a fairly popular pack, back before we had such guides, it wasn't very hard at all. it's just flat 2d textures. the models aren't even hard since there is software available that lets you build them one square at a time just like building in game. you can look at the textures the same way. it's just 1 pixel squares of color. like doing pixel art with wool or clay.

first, I quoted it directly. and in bold. second, I already stated I was confused about the first sale, which is still relevant because that is what the case was originally challenging because of a resale scam. if you care to look there have been more similar cases that had the same outcome. licence agreements hold up.
0
you are licencing the software, you do not own it. the company you licenced it from does and if they choose to say no, you can't do that, it holds up. that is the decision.
"[5] We hold today that a software user is a licensee rather
than an owner of a copy where the copyright owner (1) specifies
that the user is granted a license; (2) significantly restricts
the user’s ability to transfer the software; and (3) imposes
notable use restrictions."
edit: also, let me correct myself in saying that it basically overturned the first sale doctrine, not enforced it. like I said, fuzzy on the details.

if that were the case people in the U.S. could just ignore DMCA notices for sharing games/piracy. see theres this thing that was decided in court here in the us that I want to say is called the First Sale Doctrine, which upholds EULAs as binding and legal. sorry, it's been a few years since I was involved with this stuff so I'm a little fuzzy on the exact details, but as far as I remember, it would take an act of congress to overturn it, so yeah...it holds up in federal court.
edit: found the case that set the precedent if you would like proof.

try updating java? not having java installed is the only thing I can think of that would make it just not open at all.

I don't know if it will help you, but what has inspired me lately is watching youtubers like AndyisYoda and Grian. Especially Grian for building tips and ideas.
edit: also, upside down stairs are your best friend. experiment with them.

1: this belongs in the resource pack discussion or help forum.
2: you can find detailed info on what you want HERE
3: you say you are struggling, and then say you don't know how easy/hard it is... which translates to "I can't be bothered to look it up/try" which is going to make most of us that "could" do it not want to because why would we if you can't even be bothered to try for yourself.
4: it's not hard at all.
1
I know that... I meant more of a hacky manual version. lol
more of a,
since we can add custom blocks(soon apparently, thought it was in already in since they talked about it being part of the addon functionality),wouldn't it be possible to add a few extraretexture positional blocks with proper textures to use corner, side, center textures and place them manually?edit: I really don't like the tc block kaleidoscope textures...will probably do this and expand on other blocks to add corner bits and stuff.
edit: something like this. taken in current snapshot.
0
hey all...still not dead. lol random question, and forgive me if I've been out of the loop for a few updates... but with the new snapshot adding the directional placement to normal(ish) blocks and the new(ish) addon functionality, does that mean we can do CTM in vanilla now? (basically)

actually, EULA,TOS, etc are most certainly enforceable in the court system of all 50 states as well as most of the non state U.S. territories. Sorry Mastermind, but U.S. law has a lot to say about this. it's mostly in line with international laws that mirror it's intent, and a lot stricter than a lot of other countries which don't even uphold copyright protection or IP laws, no less things like EULA's that go above and beyond copyright protections.
