I like to organize everything, and make sure I work to make necessary farms, and prepare resources and gear for whatever I'm wanting to do. I like to design everything on my own; farms, buildings, etc. I prefer to play the game this way without referring to any tutorials.
What do you look for in an MC Server?: Three requirements for me: 1) The current update of Vanilla minecraft; 2) Hosted in Australia; 3) An active and friendly community.
Additional Information: I'm not actively a part of any Australian vanilla survival servers, so I'm interested in having a go and meeting new people
My favourite part about joining such a positive, mature and professional server- is meeting friendly new people and join in on one of my favourite video games. One particular detail I have read into carefully is the Redstone rules. I tend to be fairly ambitious with my redstone projects, however the guidelines in place are understandable and fair, and should surely ensure that some of the mechanics used in redstone creations do not intrude, and are as non-invasive as possible. Building and particularly collaborating are also things I love to do on smp servers, and hopefully there are plenty of like-minded people ready to meet and interact with. Overall, Stonewick sounds like a very exciting opportunity for me, and I can't wait to potentially become a part of it!

Sure, the first one is not going to work because the redstone dust coming from the repeater is being powered by the redstone torch.
You need to power the block that the redstone torch is connected to in order to turn it off - like in the second example.
