I heard that all the time in my school. It's basically slang for style, coolness etc. It's really lame, honestly.

Whichever police department took that note and has files on the event.

alright, I'll work on that first thing tomorrow. Thanks to all those who helped, I'll try and report back in case someone else finds themselves in a similar dilemma (although I hope not)

    thanks again,

Like Masterku2 said if your a minor there is not a whole lot you can do to help this situation.
If you are than I would suggest that by going to the police department that originally had the note taken for evidence and ask to at least know what was said on it or even if the note could be returned to the family. If they dont have the note anymore than ask where it was sent and find it there.

I know I have the police report somewhere along with the coroner's report, would those tell me which police department to contact?

Decode it with some secret decoder only you know about, and no one else knows.

...At least that's how they do it in the movies.

Its probably a suicide note written in another tongue.

Did you even read the title?

I would suggest contacting them and asking if you were able to see a note of one of your loved ones.

but who? The police department? I'm not sure where exactly things like that go

Alright, let me explain this in a nutshell. Several years ago, a close family member of mine took his own life. He left a note, which I never was able to read, the police took it as evidence.

I'd like to obtain the note, but have no earthly idea where to start, or if they keep things of that nature.. they do right, or at least copies?

So basically, where do I start to get the ball rolling on this? Is it a lengthy process and will it cost me anything? I've never attempted anything of this nature, but thought I better try to get the note now then to wait and never have it.

Thanks guys, hope I can get some help.

MINE DOES THAT! It does that right after I turn the computer on after a power outage or in the situation that you're saying. I wish I could find a solution too!

Does it only do it once after a power outage?

No. Windows won't corrupt because of a restart, unless you're using an old version or have screwed with it, either in the past or at the time of the restart.

More likely a piece of hardware shorted out. Open up the case (make sure it's all the way turned off, obviously), and look at the power supply and motherboard and see if anything looks charred.

    Ah, I'm on it now.

    Thanks..hope I don't see anything scary

    *EDIT*
After opening the case, I found nothing charred, everything appeared normal. All components are working, and everything seems fine.

Is there a possibility that my system is okay and the BSOD was a one time thing?

Happened to me on xmas day, just put it into reformat and re-install windows, it would of most likely corrupted your hard drive:(

****... Well, hopefully there's nothing mechanically wrong with my HD. I've been fortunate enough to have backed up my most important files without BSOD interruptions. Maybe I can do a restore and a format as a last resort.

Thanks for all the help so far guys

well its never good to have your computer on when the power goes out(especially if it turns back on during a flicker) my guess is that something minor might have shorted out b/c if it was something major your computer probably wouldn't be working fine right now

Do you think windows might be corrupt and I need to re-install?

Hi everyone, today, the power in my neighborhood shut off for a few hours but during this, it flickered a lot, causing my computer to shut off and on until I flipped the switch on the power strip. My computer is grounded and worked fine after I turned it back on a few hours later when the power was back. For some odd reason, after running my computer for an hour or so after the outage, I got a random BSOD. I was able to take a picture of it before I restarted my system.

I have not installed any new hardware, but am just being as cautious. Could this just be a fluke? Or do you believe something is internally wrong with my computer?

    Thanks for any help!

I'm more curious than anything. I do believe in God, and if it's as lovely as all these religious folk say it is then I'm not afraid. But then again, there is the doubtful side to me where nothing will happen, and I will be left behind to haunt the world in the paths I've made...I like the first one better

I was pretty dedicated to AMD a while back, but after viewing some benchmarks of the six core phenom and four core i5 sandybridge, I decided to convert :tongue.gif:. I love intel. AMD is great for budget builds and bang for buck but I seriously believe that intel is the way to go, even if you have to sacrifice more cash, it's worth it in the long run. I didn't even have to overclock my 2500k for 1080p hd video editing, it really hauls ass :cool.gif:
