Sorry for or being on the edge of wishlisting. Will not happen again : )

No problem, but generally, if your ideas are segregate (in that they don not actually directly enhance, affect, or impact each other) then it is usually better to have separate threads so that each idea can be fully discussed and given the attention it deserves. but if segregating two (or more) ideas makes each other seem less useful (because they go together like redstone dust and redstone torches), in those instances, you would want to relate them together in a single thread as separating them would make the overall idea weaker overall.

As it is, most of your ideas can hold their own because do not rely on each other, each idea is separately viable and would be worthy of a separate thread for discussion to focus on each of them individually.

posted a message on Deep Snow
So... this would be similar to a packed snow block, (and a similar snow slab should one exist), except that you are slowed while walking through it (like walking through a water source block). Would you also sink into it to the top of the block below you as well (since it is soft snow), and would there be a difference between the packed snow blocks we currently have and this soft snow block, or are you suggesting replacing?

Currently, the recipe for a packed snow block is 4 snowballs arranged in a square, and I'm assuming at the moment, you are talking about replacing such that 2 snowballs in a row would make a snow slab, and 3 in an 'L' could even be used to make a snow stair.

Alternatively, if the soft snow replaces the the 'packed' snow in the crafting recipes, it could still be preserved with 9 snowballs to make the packed block, and 3 blocks in a row (of each) to make the respective half slabs, and have them able to be broken back down to the snow ball components.

This would allow 3 snowballs in a row to be used to make 3 'carpet' blocks of snow (as what generates now from snowfall and snowmen trails). (or 2 in a row if you want to be able to do this without a crafting table).

4 soft snow blocks in a square can = 1 packed snow block
4 packed snow blocks in a square can = 1 ice block (which provides a way to gather ice blocks in survival without the silk touch enchantment nor redstone mechanics, and another way to generate/carry water source blocks without a bucket).

I actually did . I merely pointed out that coloured lighting would kill the xbox . Then I forgot to state my support .

Ok... I agree, colored lighting would increase demands on the xbox... the OP acknowledged that in the beginning... you're just restating what they already said... that's why he said that the lighting would not be colored... only the texture of the lamp itself would be colored.

I'm concerned about the lag this might cause... anyone want to build and run a redstone/water flow drop machine using pistons to drop different sections of water at different random intervals to test game responsiveness?

It would not be appropriate for a kid game. Maybe an option to add it in the menu

How so? Swords and axes are very violent, but really, as long as there isn't blood, there are no problems.

(I just shook my head and walked away when I first read that... Glad that I wasn't the one to point out the obvious).

posted a message on Burnt Biome
You know the Nether is a sort of 'burnt biome', and I already suggested black and twisted trees and more in another thread...

Different Mine-able content in the Nether/End

There is also a Volcanic Biome Thread here, which is very similar to the Burnt Biome idea:

posted a message on New Biomes
I like the idea of more biomes in general, and some of these sound pretty cool.

However, the map size on the console is extremely limited in the amount of biomes that can be supported at one time, plus, it is likely that 4J is going ot be focusing on porting over the biomes that already exist in Mojang's Java/PC version first.

But that being said, the last three would be better as game features than as biomes, ie.:

Just as there is no such thing as a 'village biome', villages are rather considered 'generated structures', as such, perhaps your garden idea and ruins idea should be generated structures as well. (similar with the Stronghold, Dungeons, Mineshafts, Ravines, Nether Fortress, Desert Wells, etc.)

As to the Stormy biome... this could just as well be a weather effect in an ocean biome, much like the snow fall, rain, lightning storms, etc.

As to your earthquake biome... there are already generated ravines in the game, and since you said, 'no actual earthquakes', this would be a generated structure anyway.

The Volcanic Biome has already been heavily discussed here:

posted a message on New Dimension (Maybe)
So... this is a new dimension called "the Cave" that you are proposing... like the Nether and the End that is separate from the main Overworld?

Rather than just listing a bunch on new block and MOB ideas, can you provide a general overview of what you are envisioning for this realm?

For this to not be a Wishlist, all these ideas have to be tightly and directly related to each other, plus there should be a detailed explanation of each proposition that other forum readers can respond to, critique, suggest changes, point out pitfalls, etc.

If you are just going to list a bunch of thing you want without relating them or backing up your reasoning, then that makes it a wish list, and you may as well just post that in the 'Small Suggestions' section rather than devoting a whole thread to discuss a multitude of separate ideas: Small Xbox 360 Edition Suggestions

The general philosophy here is that if each idea has merit worth discussing, then they are deserving of their own thread to discuss that particular idea. Also, many of these things on your list have been proposed in the past, and it is better to add to those threads, than it is to make numerous separate threads that say pretty much the same thing.

Could be interesting for some people I suppose... although it isn't something that I personally would care much for.

But some people would support several of these ideas as some of these ideas have been proposed before, see:

posted a message on New Generations (structures)
extremely ... difficult ... to .... follow. But sounds like a wishlist, let me see if I can recap, in addition to suggesting your other previous suggestion, "in the fiery biome i made up there would be a burnt house with the fire reaper in it", you also want:

    In the ocean:

    • shipwrecks that YOU could explore for loot
    • new mob called a pirate
    • a tamable parrot
    In the mountains:

    • exposed mineshafts that YOU can enter
    In the forest:

    • a hole in the ground that leads through some mud (new block that is just a decoration and spawns randomly)
    • a new mob dungeon kind that is rare that spawns mud diggers that look like silverfish but they are bigger and are brown
    • chances to find a survivor that is a villager that is just down there that spawned there from a mob spawner and there clothes are torn a little
    In the Nether:

    • villages that have pigmen in them
    In Caves:

    • a small version of a dungeon - spawns zombies skeletons and spiders (not at the same time thats just the variations)
    • a medium version (has two floors) - spawns enderman silverfish and cave spiders(rarely)
    • and a large one (has three floors) - spawn pigmen
    in the snow biomes:

    • igloos that spawn that are stocked with a bed and a few peices of bread and are 25/100 chance to spawn
    in beaches:

    • beach houses (village) that can spawn there making a new villager that has a bathing suit on.

    Quote from WoodBlock
The pc and preload/unload chunks differently from the Xbox, most likely because the Xbox doesn't have as much processing power. And cor those reasons, the Xbox can't have larger worlds without causing lag.

Actually, I think it has much more to support 4-player split screen functionality on the same console. As it is, the Console doesn't unload chunks once they are loaded, which tends to be a much higher drain on resources than releasing unused chunks as the PC does... but if you have 4 players doing this on the same console, it can be extremely burdensome for that console in performing chunk swapping necessary for supporting larger worlds.
