This is really cool! Unfortunately, in my opinion, brightly coloured buildings such as that cathedral don't translate well into minecraft, but you did a really awesome job getting dimensions and such right for the domes
I am going to post quite a few pictures because I want you to see that I can build many different styles, and I think that this group will be very fun to participate in if you accept me
I never finished this, the map was lost by the server host
Sorry again for all the images but I really want to show you that I think I am good enough for your team.
If you decide to accept me, please send me a pm on the forums.
I like tower number 2 better for the same reasons as everybody else.
To the person who made tower number 1, here are three things to keep in mind when building in minecraft. Your tower design is promising, and following these rules could have easily been the better tower.
1. Never build flat surfaces. 99% of the time any flat wall if it is big enough will look bad no matter how well you followed the other rules.
2. Vary materials. 1 material will NEVER look good in any circumstance that I can think of. Even two materials in any large structure may not be enough. 3-4 is normally the golden number for the number of materials unless you are building some megabuild, in which a lot more materials are normally used.
3. This rule sort of ties into rule 1. Add extra designs and things that stick out of the wall. Extra details that protrude out or making the flat surface curve in a bit will add depth to your build. Two examples of this are when you are building a wall, make the battlements stick out from the wall, and adding spaced out pillars along the wall.
Maybe you just aren't doing it right. When I first tried playing creative I could swear I was double-tapping the space bar right but I wasn't, so sometimes it wouldn't work. I'm used to it now and it works 100% of the time when I'm not lagging.
I had to do quite a bit of landscaping around it. About the doors, I was thinking of a way only you can get in.
There are ways to make combination locks with redstone, if you looked on youtube I'm sure you could find a detailed tutorial, however, it would probably take up a bit of space beside the house. You could probably somehow put the wiring underground though.
It looks pretty nice, but an hour is a long time to make something so small. Anyways a way you can open the front door is with a pressure plate in front of it. Or you could just put wooden doors which would look better in my opinion.

1) I have a really slow computer, I'd be more of a hindrance than a help on your server
2)I'm not quite 16 yet (gotta wait until october)
3)I don't have a mic that works haha
