I might not be seeing it but, is there a technic pack/tekkit set for this mod? I loved using it with vanilla but I'm balls at trying to edit/tweak together texture sets. Thank you for any information.
I was looking over the compatibility list for this mod and was wondering if there were any issues with Mixcraft?
( viewtopic.php?f=25&t=31331 ) I wouldn't think there was, as I have used these together for a while now and love both, but just wondering. Thanks for a great mod!
Not sure if there is a conflict or what happening but I can get all the up to when it says "simulating the world a bit". When that finishes it flashes a screen for a millisecond then closes.
I have:
-Mixcraft HD
-2X2 Crafting Mod
-modloader (v5)
-Audio Mod
-Optimine
I couldn't find anything in the forums about this, but when I harvest the trunk of a tree the leaves don't degrade on their own. I've tried this out on a few different worlds since the Halloween patch and it comes out the same. I also don't mean that it happens in a short period either, I've went off for several 'days' and none of the trees had changed. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not but I liked the old system MUCH better IMHO.
This sounds like something that could be both heavily abused and produce awesomeness. I think it would work best as part of a balancing system. Meaning something similar to Spore where you can only add so much to the creature. Because just as there are surely specially modded 'super hardcore' worlds that are night all the time and can spawn mobs at almost any light level and such, someone would make a flying, water-walking, charging ,exploding, light-tolerant, fireproof, spider-skeleton-zombie hybrid hyper mobs. Tho on the other side someone would probably make very interesting variant mobs to help vanilla become just that much more Minecraft. I do think that the pack mobs would be very interesting but scary idea.
I Haven't seen all the new biomes yet but I can imagine something like the creepers and such having a lighter/whitish coloring change in winter biomes. That or them having what looks like icicles in snowy areas and dusty in desert areas. I'd imagine it wouldn't be something that would happen the second they enter an area if coming from a different one but if they were there for a little while the texture would change. Nice idea tho!
I made a new thread with the information I found that' similar to the post with listed above about editing the .jar. It has all the steps and such on how to do it. So if you're still having issues you can try that. Thanks all for your posts!
...I have no idea if you were having the same issue as me but I had tried all the other things that I had seen on posts and such and nothing but this worked so far. So depending on what error you're getting a different solution might be needed. I hope something works eventually for you tho!
I found on Youtube this video named "Solution to 'Could not create the Java Machine" Error for Minecraft', and I tried what it said and now I don't get the windows error sound when I try to open the launcher. I copied the instructions below but I didn't make them, that was someone by the name yourgamingxp. PS. this does work on an windows xp system, just leave open the command window that forms. HAVE FUN!!
Okay, I finally figured it out so here is the steps.
1. Go to http: //www. minecraft. net/ and download Minecraft.jar program(must have purchased Minecraft Alpha).
2. Save it to your desktop
3. Open up a new notepad document and copy this into it.
Lol, I did pull a noob myself. I forgot to mention that I'm running windows xp and yes I'm only using the windows versions and have not tried any other type.
I've tried both versions of the downloadable minecraft.exe but I keep getting the microsoft Dun! sound. I might have missed the answer to this somewhere but I've tried the few things I've seen that seem close and nothing changed, Thank you for any help!
