The magic of going through your own history and running into something you did and loved so long ago. The last post was from 2014, and two years later I think I would like to put something here for anyone who is looking at these for the nostalgia. This server was, and I say this very hesitantly, the best server I have seen Minecraft produce just underneath Lord of the Craft. I don't say that to make others look bad, I don't say that to make it sound like it was perfect, because it certainly was not. No, I say that because I watched so many good people get together, work through thick and thin for -years- to make this server work. Looking back there was a lot of mis-understanding and childish ideals among staff and certain players, but in the end it was from lack of a drive that brought this server to an end. I don't want to sit here too long and prattle on about something from a few years ago now, but I do want to say this. For any of you who remember this server, thank the people who kept it running. From the owner who would do weird events at bad times, to the former head admin who couldn't keep his cool with all the bad news people kept bringing him. I really do mean it, thank everyone from this as I thank you all for the wonderful memories I still talk about to this day, and I know I will be telling my kids about these days.
Sincerely
Kevin (greeno96) Former Head Admin to Lordran the Lost Souls and Era of the Vanguard

Character Biography (Please include at least two quality paragraphs):
Kevin was born to a rather average Wasteland doctor inside the now destroyed capitol of a state once called New Hampshire. In this part of the wasteland, Super Mutants were rather rare, however the mutated wildlife thrives, especially Feral Ghouls of the once proud population of pre war time. Kevin was raised by his mother alone, and was taught most of what she knew when he hit his teenage years. His childhood was rather un-eventful, save the random Ghoul encounter and injured Wastelander, until he was about sixteen. His mother and him were camped in a destroyed electronics store when he felt the all too familiar feeling of hunger hit him. Instead of waiting for his mother, he did what some teenagers tend to do and go alone to check one of the surrounding buildings. Finding some Cram in the apartment across the street, he went near the door to hear loud footsteps. He looked out the window to see a group of Scavengers, luckily not searching the buildings his mother and himself were occupying at the moment. As they finally passed he rushed back to his mother, already awoken and holding their old 32. Pistol. For the rest of the evening, she stayed up muttering about "They cants just leave it alone, the just can't escape the shadows of the old world." He fell asleep that night confused at her words, though they came to be understood in time.
The next couples years went by smoothly enough. Again the occasional raider evasion and Feral Ghoul problem. But he did begin to realize something in his time wandering with his mother. She was truly afraid of what came before all the destruction that made up their world now. She would always speak as if the Technology and people from that era just were monsters, for no reason that really could come to him. In his opinion, the relics and people from that time were positively fascinating. And something he just wanted to get his hands on. Whenever they went to a hospital to hold out for the night, he would stay up late reading what remained of the charred manuals, and the half working terminals full of corrupt data. He began to see what the world had been, and what miracles it held.
When he turned twenty, he felt it was time to leave his mother and find his own path. His reasoning, well simply he could not agree with his mother. He wanted to see what was up North, and get out of the States for a time, maybe even see if things were different somehow. His mother was sad, however she did give him some of her supplies, and an old 32. Pistol, and sent her son with her blessings on his way. His journey up north was more dangerous than normal, now being only himself and no one else to help him. But after passing a few raiders and his first Super Mutants, he did make it to Niagra, and hearing from a Wastelander who had a clubbed foot, he found out about the Republic of Niagra, and his interest was peaked enough for him to explore this land a bit more than the areas he has already passed. And so, his journey begins, and no one can truly know what this 25 year old will find in this Wasteland.
Roleplay Scenario: Time: 3:18 P.M. Location: 14 miles South of Niagara
As you're walking north along a desolate highway when you spot two large black birds circling in the sky in the distance. To the east, large thunderheads loom on the horizon. Hopeful to avoid the storm, you begin to walk a bit more briskly; scanning the area to find shelter from the radioactive downpour. You observe a small light grey smoke plume coming from the median of the highway only a couple hundred meters away. Before approaching the scene, you take a quick look in your bag (below is a list of your items). As you approach the scene, you can see that it is a Merchant Caravan that has been hit, likely by raiders. The merchant lies bloody and beaten to death near a slaughtered Brahman, blood covers his clothing and a box of items is scattered near him. Of the two guards, one lies near a jersey barrier; empty shell casings from her caravan shotgun scattered around her corpse. The other guard is struggling to pull himself upright using the one of the carts wheels, his left leg had been blown off below the shin and is now nothing but a bloody mix of singed skin and asphalt.
Bag contents:
1x 10mm Pistol
4x 10mm Pistol rounds
1x bottle of dirty water
2x Mentants
1x Salisbury steak
1x Squirrel on a stick
1x small radio (functional)
1x Stimpak
1x Half-used first aid kit (missing supplies)
What do you do?:
Kevin would rush quickly to the remaining survivor, after picking up the bag for the medical supplies to help his meager amount in his own satchel. He would use the First Aid kit to hopefully bind the wound as best he could, using a stimpak to help the destroyed tissue clot. Helping the man to rest, he would pull the gun and radio and attempt to call for help with it, prayers being that someone friendly was close enough to hear.
Keeping his breathe deep and calm, he would keep his wits about him as the sun began to set, and darkness engulf them both. Using the bottle of dirty water to try to keep the man hydrated, he simply would begin to realize no one could hear the radio, at least no one friendly. Kevin would take a long sigh, aim the gun and mumble a prayer to the fates, ending the man's suffering and moving out with what little supplies he felt worth taking before letting the scavengers take the dead man's flesh.
Walking on down the road, his prayer would keep repeating in his mind, his morals fighting him on what he had done, though his mind repeating that it was what must be done. His walk would be dismal for a time, brightening only when the sun once again rose and he set out on the rest of his journey, to whatever fate may hold in store for him.
Note: Sorry about that little slip in lore, thinking back I do not know what I was thinking XD But I hope elongating it is sufficient, and all is fixed.

Weapons he had never seen before were held high, as lamps protruding from their helmets illuminated the path before them. He watched them make their way down the street, feeling as if life passed before his eyes at the strange men. He bolted back to his mother, now obviously awake and with pistol drawn. Hugging her son, he had to ask who they were. Her only response being " There really is no escaping the shadows of the old world." when inquired as to what that meant, she simply would state "They are Brotherhood, just don't get in there way dear."

Backstory (1-2 Paragraphs):
Al'tre was born among his brothers and sisters in slavery. Their life was hard, always in a collar, forced to fight in endless wars. Al'tre was taught to fight when he was very young, like all the others of his kind. He lost his parents young, never getting to know them well, and never knew if he had siblings. When he was ten, he had already killed five enemies of his Master, and showed promise. It was not too many years until he went to his first real battle, and his life changed for life.
As they were given their weapons for a siege, Al'tre reflected on his life, as he always did before his time in combat. Being only eighteen, he had not had the most life experience, but regardless he looked over it. The gates opened, as they were forced out to attack the besieging forces in the name of their masters. Al'tre killed all he could, fighting alongside his brothers and sisters, knowing that very few would come home from this battle alive. During the middle of the fighting, he felt himself get lighter, as if he were one with the air. He looks up, to see this crimson light engulf his body. He shouts a battle cry, believing it to be a sign from the forests, before he dissapears in a flash of light.
A couple more Major things that can be used, Both Server Set-up and Actual Lore:
Server Set-Up:
An MC Post is perfect for recruitment, however to post idea's in real-time and easily FOR FREE is to use a Google Document. This will allow random idea;s to flow and for people to put their minds together on idea's, pictures, so many different things, and all they need to contribute is a Gmail.
Lore:
I think a major things that would be interesting is making the main area people are in consist of four "Classes" or factions. A Jedi would be nice, a minor academy in the Far Outer Rim perhaps. Sith should be much smaller, especially seeing how terribly they were beaten after the Star Forge, though they would still exist. There should also be a Sort of Resistance, people from the outerrim who hate the Core, and the Republic who supports them. And then finally an outpost of Republic Soldier's and officials, who would take anyone they could to help man the outpost and ensure the planet stays under Republic Control. It would make for a massive Lore Change if the Sith could overpower the Republic on the planet, and actually get a planet under their control, and then to move on from their. Just some idea's I keep turning in my head, and keep forging against the fear of how difficult this can be.
Greeno I remember you very well from many servers in the past and I trust your dedication.
This is interesting, it may be hard to recreate such a build but I believe we can work it out.
Alright! It seems I have a lot of support for this project. I am going to figure out which host would best suit my interests and then ill upload what I have so far. I will contact all of you with the details. Thank you for being part of my dream server!
There are still some problems.. I have a job and will be attending school soon- as well as many other responsibilities. I will pay for the server and have everything running but I need a little bit out of everyone. This is all of our server, I just happen to pay the bills. My freetime will go into this server. Talk amongst yourselves- what can you do best? Is anyone here an experienced builder? Can anyone make plugins?
Nice to hear from ya man. Im not sure about plugins, I did some with Luke but I never truly mastered adding them without MCMyAdmin. But if you need a moderator, I'm your man. And I think it wont die unless we forget you are interested in it. Though I believe you should do the server in the form of Chapters, as Ill explain:
I would imagine a good way to do the server is to make it based on one planet at first, one that many in the Galaxy would go to and fight over. A prefered would likely be one like Telos (Under Re-construction), Thyferra, Dantoinne, Yavin, Muunilist, Yaga-Minor. Most of these have at least the potential to have either a space station, Space port, Or be inhabited enough for Spacers to make frequent stops there, along with a Military hold, and civilians that hate the Core for their prosperity. And either we can hop with map resets, or get multi world and keep all up at once. There are alot of possibilities, and I think it can work quite well if we pushed for it.

Character biography (At LEAST 2 paragraphs):
Charles was born in a small settlement of wastelanders in Mid-California. His parents were both settlers with an extreme interest in the local ruins of the medical college, which they raised their only son to be interested in with them. At a young age, Charles despised the idea of blood and people in pain, however as he read the half destroyed text books, he began to warm to the idea of the helping part of being a medical person. His mother passed away when he was still learning, at the teenage year of eighteen. Her death was just simply natural for the survivors, as they would ambush any super mutants who came within sight, and his mother sadly didn't survive the raid. His father went into extreme depression, and put all his attention into the work of being the settlement's doctor. But when Charles hit twenty, he felt it was time to leave the memories, and explore a bit of the world. He bid goodbye to his father, and hit a highway up north, where he traveled for a year. During his travel up and around California, choosing no specific direction, he had some small run ins with random people and creatures. For example he ran into a couple Viper Gang Members, which he was luckily able to avoid before they noticed him. Another was running into a child who's parents were killed while they were traveling for a safe place. The Child was already wounded with a bullet in the shoulder, but sadly with an infection set in, and a lack of medical supplies, the child did not survive, and it left Charles with a renown hope of getting to actually help, rather than fail at what he set out to do. It was when he found an old RobCo Factory that had a settlement of people in it that he saw a chance to help others with a bit of success. At first they were in extreme joy of a doctor arriving, since they lacked one, however he did try to stress he would only be there for a few days. But when he saw their situation, he decided to stay and help for a bit.
While at the Factory, he met a few people in the community that used it to study and repair the old robots. However only one of the residents really caught his eyes. It was a Girl that was about his age, which rather funnily what attracted his attention was her long black hair. He at first took little mind of her, since he was focused on helping random situations the factory had, and trying to bring the overall health up of the settlers. However he actually got to know her a bit more when the settlement found an old Mister Gutsy in the town that they could make into a robotic doctor. The only person with an open schedule in the day was the Girl he noticed, and the only person with any knowledge of medical science was Charles, which made them work together on it's programming. While she worked on configuring the Gutsy, he would tell her any information on medical things like; How to splint an arm, How to remove a bullet, any information the Gutsy would need. He also found out her name, and had a bit of fun working with her. Her jovial attitude and manner just brought a bit of a smile to him, though he usually took it as childish feelings. It was near the end of the project that he realized he did care for her a bit more, and it saddened him to know he would have to leave if he was to continue his pilgrimage to up-state. When the time came to leave, the Girl wanted to travel with him to help other people, which fixed a bit of his feelings for her. Though he stumbled on how to end the feelings, he saw no problem in taking the girl with him, and agreed. They then continued on the trek northward, on to Washington State, and whatever lies ahead.
Alrighty, Fixed the Russian part, and thank you for telling me, I was curious as holy bejezums on what was wrong with the lore of it. Though it was a friends Character, and it was a few generations down Russian, regardless I hope this works :3

The only person with an open schedule in the day was the Russian girl, and the only person with any knowledge of medical science was Charles, which made them work together on it's programming. When the time came to leave, the Russian girl wanted to travel with him to help other people, which fixed a bit of his feelings for her. Though he stumbled on how to end the feelings, he saw no problem in taking the girl with him, and agreed. They then continued on the trek northward, on to Washington State, and whatever lies ahead.
I believe this should fix the lore problems, I was not entirely sure what was wrong, however I did change things like how the settlement he was born in dealt with Super-Mutants, and added some events during his travels. Also explained how he actually helped with Fixing the Gutsy, since all he did was give information to the Russian Girl, not actually do any mechanical things. If anything is wrong Ill gladly fix it

RP Scenario: (Use the scenario written below)
Time: 3:18 P.M.
Location: 27 miles South of Seattle.
As you're walking north along a desolate highway to a few hundred meters ahead you can see 2 large black birds circling in the sky, to the east a few miles off large thunderheads can be seen. Hopeful to avoid the storm you begin to walk a bit more briskly scanning your area to find shelter from the rain. You observe a small light grey smoke plume coming from the median of the highway only a couple hundred meters away. Before approaching the scene you take a quick look in your bag (below is a list of your items). As you approach the scene you can see that it is a Emerald Trading Company Caravan that has been hit, the merchant lies dead near a slaughtered Brahman blood covers his clothing and a box of items is scattered near him. Of the two guards, one lies near a jersey barrier; empty shell casings from the cowboy repeater are scattered around the body. The other guard is struggling to pull himself upright using the one of the carts wheels, his leg has been blown off below the shin and is now nothing but a bloody mix of singed skin and asphalt.
Bag contents:
1x 10mm Pistol
7x 10mm Pistol rounds
1x bottle of dirty water
2x mentants
1x salisbury steak
1x Squirrel on a stick
1x small radio (working)
1x stimpak
1x Half-used first aid kit (missing supplies)
What do you do?:
Charles would immediately pocket the 10 Millimeter, after ensuring it was loaded, but then grab the first-aid kits and stimpak, and go to the man, Once there he would try to calm the guard, and get if there is any, a sedative or narcotic that would put the man to sleep. After that he would as gently as possible clean the wound and bandage it, saving the stimpak for a just in case. After the guard is as good as he can get him, he would attempt to use the radio to contact the Company the man works for, if that fails, or if danger is seen, he would make a partial attempt to save the guard to hide him. However if time is too short, he would take cover and hide, and pray for a chance to save the man. If all fails, he would be forced to leave, and hope to make up for his failure.
It was a Russian girl that was about his age, which rather funnily what attracted his attention was her long black hair. He at first took little mind of her, since he was focused on helping random situations the factory had, and trying to bring the overall health up of the settlers. However he actually got to know her a bit more when the settlement found an old Mister Gutsy in the town that they could make into a robotic doctor. I have to say I have been waiting three long years for someone to get the idea and the drive to want to make a Star Wars MC Server.
My IGN is greeno96, and I have been administration on multiple servers, and made about five, and though none are around today, Ive learned from mistakes and realizations what it takes to run a server. If you ever want even the most minor advice, I will give it in a heartbeat. Consider me one of the most interested people in this :D!
I would give the idea of making it focused in the Outer-rim, to give a feel of people who hate the republic, rather than going into the issue of all Republic are good and Sith are bad, it would give a new feel to a server, and a different part of the Star Wars universe, not overly touched.
What experience do you have in roleplaying?: Ive Roleplayed on Minecraft for 2 Years, and MMO's for a month or two now.
Have you read, understood, and accepted the rules?: Yes I do
What is the rule you agree with the most?: I truly love the Rule on items built into the Skin having to be acquired Rply, it is nice for it to be clarified.
How did you find the server?: A Friend told me about it, and I decided to at least apply and give it a shot.
Why should you be whitelisted?: I could say something drab like "Im a good player" and such, but in all honesty I think i should just because I have no plan of causing any trouble, no intentional trouble or not intentional.
Define powergaming: When you do something beyond your Character's limits and/or something your character is not like at all

Define metagaming: This is when you take information from the Out of Character chat and use it in RP as if you already knew it
for example if someone mentioned their character does not have parents in the OOC chat and you tell people Rply that person does not have parents
Who was the first king of Redania?: King Kurgan
Why did the great dwarven kingdom collapse?: a Great Blue Orb drove many of them insane

Character Biography (Must be at least three paragraphs in length, include an
y memorable events:
Jonathan was born to a young couple living on a ranch on the frontier. He was a rather happy baby, and only two years after he was born his little brother August was born to the world, and their family became complete. As Jonathan got older, he began to understand what his parents did for a living. His father was a rough man who cut down tree's and sold the lumber to the City for a living, and his mother was a seamstress who would sew clothing for nearby ranchers for a very small price. As John was too young to cut lumber at the age of six, he began to learn how to sew and cook from his mother, four year old August would follow his dad out into the forest to gather more wood. When John was ten, he was a rather adept cook and could sew some basic clothing, while his brother was good at hacking off limbs from trees that he father felled.
John's father was not happy that his eldest was following the path of his mother, but his mother was happier than ever. She went deep into his studies in the field, teaching him all sorts of small secrets and tips on spices and certain foods. As well as teaching him how not only to make male clothing, but how to sew dresses for young ladies in hopes that it would one day get him a woman. John always acted aloof, but when with his mother he loved making the clothes and cooking, it somehow just called to him. He especially loved cooking, and someone helping the young Ranch Girls make dresses seemed to fit into him.
However life was not that easy for him. The other boys made fun of him up until his thirteenth birthday, when his father forced him to join his brother in cutting down trees. He learned by day how to fell lumber, and by night continued sewing and cooking. He got the boys off his back, and learned how to avoid them and just say he cut down trees, but he still wanted to continue his mother's path. When he turned fifteen, he had enough of the hiding. He got into a horrendous fight with his father, and ended up running away. He took the small axe his father left him, and some small amount of foodstuff and sewing equipment and left home. He deemed he would write to his mother periodically, but would never go back, in hopes of becoming a servant in one of the cities.

He watched them make their way down the street, feeling as if life passed before his eyes at the strange men. He bolted back to his mother, now obviously awake and with pistol drawn.

The problem with Star Wars Servers is it that the galaxy is un-believably massive. Just look at this link
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/17/Star_Wars_Galaxy_Map_KOTOR_Quest.jpg

The only person with an open schedule in the day was the Russian girl, and the only person with any knowledge of medical science was Charles, which made them work together on it's programming.
