Thanks a bunch, Kyctarniq.
I started a new 1.9 world and I ended up in the jungle. I figured...might as well be extra jungle-y with this texture pack.
Eldpack is one of my favorite texture packs that I liked to follow throughout the year! I'm glad to see that continuation is keeping this alive.
Someone told me how it works!
You have to rename "shield.json" to "shield_normal.json" and add a new "shield.json".
Inside that json you have to put this text:
I was having the same issue with my custom shield model wherein the shield wouldn't actually move when my avatar was blocking.
I used your suggested method above and it fixed it.
However, I am encountering a new issue. When blocking, the shield texture transforms into the vanilla model texture (it doesn't stay as my texture). To what model is the new "shield.json" referring to? Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
Edit: Nevermind, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was missing the "shield_base_nopattern.png" file. Now everything is working fine. I've a spiffy new shield now.
That texture pack is Steel Feather's Dragon Dance.
The armors have a bit of an samurai flair to them (I think it's the slanted pauldrons that does it). Personally, I always equate "Dwarven" to Norse looking stuff.
Just my opinion.
In either case, they do look great. There's a wonderful amount of detail; I really like how the trim looks.
Those boats are adorable!
I love the detail in them, especially the one with the log surface in the middle.
Wow, Meringue, you're on a roll!
I've been a follower of your pack for awhile now. I really like how bright and cheery it is without being too cartoon-y.
I absolutely adore the shading on things like your doors and the stone bricks.
Awesome, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this pack brought up to date.
Like Alvoria mentioned, it was (is!) one of the great packs from early Minecraft and I always was a bit sad when I remembered NorseCraft existed and then promptly remembered that it wasn't really being updated.
Maybe I'll give this resource pack a spin and not just for old time's sake!
When I first saw that this was a CW resource pack, I admit I was a bit dubious!
But it's always a really great surprise when you enter a thread and you're wrong. I have never played Cube World but I have watched Let's Players that did. I have to say that it is very evocative of the game and I think it's a really great idea to try to adapt CW's aesthetics to Minecraft. They seem to go hand and hand well enough as seen by this pack.
I really like the use of the 3D models; very well done. I am aware that this is a pack based on Cube World and their textures are pretty much bucketfills (not that that's a bad thing in this case. For once) but I can't help but miss the sort of depth that shading and details can bring to a texture.

Forum: Added: Mod Support List, removed the question for people to make a 3d version, because no one reacts to it
(Basically the history of it all and a little bit about myself)
It all started with the Quandary Texture Pack, created by ExtraNoise, he set the baseline for this pack. ExtraNoise was quite big within the texture pack community, widely known in the days of Minecraft Alpha for "sprucing up the default textures" and his assortment of seasons, by which changed the grass and foliage color to look coherent to the designated month and/or season type within the year. He would also contribute some of his textures to Rhodox, author of the Painterly Pack, such as the feather sprite to name one. But not too long after I got my Minecraft account, awarded through an honorable mention in the 2010 WoM Halloween Contest, I felt that his textures could be improved upon, or to at least have them look good in my Minecraft.
Thus, in the late December of 2010, was born the Best of Quandary Texture Pack. It wasn't much to be honest, but it had a purpose. Apparently ExtraNoise became unresponsive by this time, updates in his pack no longer came... and I decided to step into the scene to some degree. Bonemouse, a major contributor to Quandary for his outstanding mob textures (currently the author of his own pack, Isabella), supported my work, even if it was made rather simply through the basic mechanisms of "copy" and "paste." But then again it wasn't all that bad, I did some recoloring and knew how to apply smoothness... so I guess it was an 'OK' compilation at the time. Again, bonemouse was supportive and so were other members within ExtraNoise's thread on the Minecraft Forums, I respectfully gained supporters over time and met many great contributors as well as nice people, no longer on the forums now, but dearly remembered.
To mention one of these people, with varying fascination towards each one of them, Morgus was the first to comment on my topic. But what was almost ironic about the matter was that ExtraNoise sponsored one of Morgus' comments as a kind of technique in presenting one's own content with words outside your own; he said, "Love it! [...] Many subtle changes while preserving the original atmosphere." Morgus then says to my pack, "Nothing to improve imho. I am using this with great pleasure." (probably using this version at the time) So I was kinda proud to have that initially positive feedback from the get-go. By this time I had already created my own quandary-style armor models based on the sprites that Quandary had... and it was a good update; bonemouse approved.
Another person I'd like to mention, Axapez! He, along with many other contributors, had presented me with honest, unrestrained and well-appreciated, constructive criticism that helped this pack grow to greater demand. Eventually we joked about this "Axapez standard," whereas he would always have something to say for the better improvement of the pack, always giving me something to do as it would seem, and it was this standard that many appreciated when I upheld it, especially Master7432 and i_r_everyday_azn.
As more and more improvements were made, the Best of Quandary Pack became less of a compilation and more of a revival of Quandary, considering ExtraNoise was gone for such a long time. The pack was then called Quandary Reborn, but the name was only fitting for so long. Eventually many of my old-time contributors began to fade, but new contributors came in the process, for whom were many fans of Quandary. ExtraNoise also came back after such a long time, and later incorporated my armor models into his newer version of Quandary, but with much unwanted change, such as his new cobblestone, it had many of his fans find a distaste in the newer Quandary and sought to it that Quandary Reborn would retain the old Quandary as they remembered it.
My edits to the pack were entitled towards preserving Quandary, at least to the eyes of those who found my pack with much expectation, then to their disappointment. While many of my long-time contributors looked for ways to improve their Minecraft however way they felt necessary through the constructive criticism that they have always offered, my pack grew apart from the old Quandary look that many had desired and continued to take on a more independent role in fulfilling the needs of others who wanted an improved vanilla Minecraft look, so to speak. Two factions came out of this situation, but there was a way to resolve it. The name Quandary Reborn was no longer an accurate name for the pack it was, for it had grown more independent as I kept pouring more of my spin into the mix by making all kinds of edits to it's original foundation; all to their liking. Names were debatable at the time, and I tend to be very picky when it comes to names, but we found one that fit. The word "Coterie," by definition, was to represent a group of people who shared a similar interest, such as my fellow contributors at the time, then the word "Craft" was traditional generic for a texture pack name, but it fit nicely when it came together - Coterie Craft.
As was the new and current name of Coterie Craft, established in the early March of 2011, fully independent from it's original counterpart with a goal to provide a more revamped version of default by improving the appearance and fervor of Minecraft, the Quandary name, on the other hand, is still a good one but has often been confused and wrongfully ridiculed due to my pack's similarities and surpassing success over time. A similar story can also be said about Dusty's Textures being used by Gerudoku, except no one has really given Dusty any noticeable credit for all the item sprites he made, whereas I hope that ExtraNoise's work, along with any other sources that I may use, are credited properly and noticeably, so that they may be supported for their efforts. Moreover, I hope this excerpt on my pack's history will serve some justice in providing evidence to the past and well-being for the future.

This texture pack requires MCPatcher or Optifine to utilize features such as Connected Textures, Randomobs, BetterSkys, and more.
Excalibur is a resource pack created to enhance the adventure that Minecraft presents. Many medieval or RPG packs weren't good enough for my tastes. I made an attempt with my resource pack, Chivalry, but not even that satisfied me. Excalibur brings your kingdoms and villages to life and keeps the charm of default resolution textures.
December 22, 2017
is a 16x pack that adds a natural feel and several seasonal variations
to minecraft. Since 1.2.5 the pack has not been updated, so I took it
upon myself to continue the pack, using a few textures from Coterie Craft and Isabella II as well as mostly making my own.
If you have any suggestions or find any errors, please feel free to message me or leave a comment
Note: I may make periodic updated to the pack and re-upload a quick hot fix. In order to receive the fix, simply re-download the pack from the same link. Latest hot fix: None for Latest Version
Thanks everyone for the support and continued interest in the pack! I apologize for not updating before, but I had lost interest in the game. Please enjoy the 1.9 release of the pack and give me feedback/criticism as per usual. Let me know if I missed something! Also, If anyone is good at entity textures and would like to make custom horses/bunnies for the pack, please let me know!
Old Downloads (Birak version only before 1.5):
NOTICE:The 1.5 versions of the pack should still work prior to 1.5, as the terrain and items.png are still in their whole. However,
the versions of the pack besides Birak do not have the textures for 1.3
and 1.4 in the terrain.png and items.png, so I recommend just using
Birak prior to 1.5.
Kamba - Spring
Birak - Summer ("regular")
Bunuru - Early Fall
Djeran - Autumn
Makuru - Winter

Some time ago, Rhodox, the creator of the famous Painterly Pack announced that he probably won't have time to dedicate towards the Painterly Pack. Is this the end? Fortunately it is not. Together we fans will continue the Painterly pack to the best of our abilities. You can find a download link below for the current version of the Painterly Continuation Patch.
I am also taking texture submissions. If you wish to submit your textures so that they may be added or replace current patch assets then send me a message with a link to your custom textures or post the link on this topic.
As of now, the patch is compatible with Minecraft 1.11. Here are preview pictures in order of Minecraft versions.
These Textures are currently still default textures
Download and Installation
The patch is compatible with all packs made with the current Painterly Pack customizer. Customize yours to your liking here.

Alternatively you can download my own personal Painterly Pack. It has a few modifications I added myself (just be sure to use the patch with it as well). It's for those who like a realistic texture packs but like to keep it close to the vanilla feel. You can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/s7y51q9kyjlzm1q/GerbilCrab%27s%20Painterly%20Pack.zip?dl=0
(Direct link is failing, copy and paste it into your url bar.)

All of the old post:
[Update] November 12, 2015: Uploads are now working.
[UPDATE!] November 10, 2015: Wow! I didn't plan on being gone that long! But, I'm back, and I've brought the mod back with me! New uploads aren't being processed at the moment, so the mod will only work for people that have used it in the past. If that's you, head on over to my last post in the thread where you can grab a beta version of the mod for Minecraft 1.8!
Also, as a bit of a side note, it seems like the 1.8 update contained code specifically designed to prevent skin/cape mods from working... It's not that easy to stop me Mojang!
[ UPDATE ] November 14, 2013:
The mod will be updated again at some point, but I don't know when. The past 6 months have been pretty rough for me, and I've made a lot of decisions that I regret. Stepping away from this was one of them. I've decided to completely start over from scratch this time. I've meant to rebuild the website a few times now, but it never gets finished. I feel like I can do it this time... like I have have to do it this time.. Because, quite frankly, coding about the only thing keeping me sane these days.I don't know how long this will take. The first version of the site was thrown together in a few hours, and that rough build has been coming back to haunt me in every update for nearly two years. Every update since then has just been tacked onto the old code, creating a huge mess when there are far more efficient ways it could have been done. I don't want to make that mistake again, so I won't be releasing anything until I have something stable, that can easily and safely been added to and modified in the future.I also need to work out a different hosting solution. The current one is too expensive, and relatively unreliable. For now, I'll keep this thread posted with any updates there may be. In the future, the news will be moved back to the main site. One final note: when things are a bit more complete, I'll be looking for a team of coders and moderators. Another lesson I've learned the hard way is managing a site with 32 thousand users is not a one man job.

Quote from EldEveryone is allowed to do their updates to eldpack, It's a bit hard appointing anyone as being the official one as I might one day update it and suddenly make official ones unofficial, but I encourage people to release updates to it hereMy position at mojang doesn't in any way hinder this texturepack, if anything doing creative stuff outside of work is encouraged, I'm just busy with life-stuff as I was before, so it's still on a long break.I can't say that I won't update it in the future though, it's still something I want to do! In the meantime I fully support people posting links to their personal updates here for people to enjoy.
Ahh yes, I almost forgot to talk about the alternative textures! When you download the pack, you will notice that in the folders for the block and item textures, there are folders which contain alternative versions of some textures. These are for people who, like me, enjoy being able to customize their texture packs to their liking. Simply move the desired texture from the folder into the corresponding folder that came before it, and in the case of textures that have a number at the very end of their name, just remove that before putting it in the folder. If you need a more detailed explanation (I'm often bad at explaining things ), you can either ask here in the thread, or even just ignore the file altogether, it isn't required to enjoy the pack, but it certainly helps if you're into customizing.
Well, after all my ramblings, I think I'm just about done here. Thank you all for your time, and I hope you enjoy! If you want to comment on anything, ask questions, or anything like that, please comment bellow! I'd love to hear feedback from you guys on what you think, it isn't just for the texture contributions. Enjoy! Also, thank you very much to pigpig278 for the artwork used in the thread! He also made a few banners for us to use, so feel free to do so if you wish! Just copy and paste the bit of code below into your signature.
